It was late winter, and the Northern Sea was freezing cold. The winter wind carried a bitter chill, and thick snow fell in slow spirals, dissolving the moment they touched the waters.

A massive luxurious white yacht sailed steadily across the cold sea, a symbol of wealth and power.

At the bow stood a tall, well-built man, his frame as straight as a spear. He was dressed in a simple military outfit, and in his hand was a worn out duffel bag.

This man was none other than Sebastian Helios.

The simple military uniform was a stark contrast to the luxury he was standing on, yet it suited him. After spending six years on the most brutal battlefield, he was now a completely different person.

His gaze was fixed on the distant dock where the city skyline rose against the snow.

Suddenly, he heard footsteps approaching, and a burly man soon appeared, standing respectfully behind him as he gazed at the sea.

“My lord, the weather is extremely cold, and your wounds from the last battle haven’t fully healed. You shouldn’t be out in the cold like this.” The burly man dressed in a black suit said respectfully as he gently placed a black coat on the young man’s shoulders before stepping aside.

“This much cold is nothing. To be honest, I even like the cold weather.” Sebastian said with a smile as he waved his hand dismissively.

“I still don’t understand, my lord. Why must you take the risk to come here? You’re not in peak shape yet.” the burly man, whose name was Bruce asked worriedly.

“I have a fiancée that’s waiting for me.” Sebastian replied coolly.

The words hung in the air, and Bruce glanced at Sebastian with a curious gaze.

“May I ask, my lord, why you chose to marry someone from this city?”

“There were so many beautiful princesses and heiresses that were competing for your hand in marriage.”

“The fourth princess of the Fire Dragon Empire even asked for your hand in marriage seven times.

Why didn’t you pick one of them?” Bruce asked curiously.

“It was my father’s last wish.” Sebastian replied calmly. “He arranged this marriage with an old friend of his before he died, and I want to fulfill his last wish.”

Bruce kept silent for only a moment before he asked another question.

“My lord, why not choose a more glamorous place for your military leave? With your status, you could have had any luxury at your disposal.”

Sebastian gave a small, almost amused smile.

“I prefer to stay low-key. I’ve been on the frontlines for close to six years now, so the last thing I want is unnecessary attention. I just want to enjoy my leave in peace.” He replied coolly.

“Now, tell the crew to prepare for docking. I’m finally home.” Sebastian ordered with a wave of his hand.

Bruce gave a respectful nod and then turned to leave, understanding that his questions had reached their end.

As Bruce disappeared from sight, Sebastian’s gaze turned ice cold. In the silence of the sea, he allowed himself a moment of reflection.

In truth, there was one more reason he had returned, and it wasn’t for the arranged marriage.

It was to uncover the truth behind his father’s death!

When he was seven years old, he was told his father passed away in a car accident, and before he could make sense of anything, he was banished from his family and sent to a military camp in the most brutal warzone.

He fought several brutal wars that almost claimed his life, but with his strength and the aid of his master, the Divine Sage, he was able to survive and excel until now.

If it weren’t for the injury he survived on the battlefield, he would still be fighting a brutal war on the warfront by now.

Sebastian heaved out a wry sigh as he stared the vastness of the Northern Sea.

He reached into his pocket and pulled out a folded piece of paper. It was old and yellowed at the edges, an obvious sign that it had been handled many times.

He unfolded it carefully, revealing an address that was written in elegant, feminine handwriting.

Lockwood Manor, Sun District, Cloud City.

He read the address for the umpteenth time before folding the piece of paper carefully and putting it back in his pocket.

That was the address of his fiancée his late father had betrothed him to.

Sebastian took another look at the vast Northern Sea as it continued to snow heavily, and a gloomy yet determined expression appeared on his face.

He closed his eyes, letting the cold wind bite his skin.

When he opened his eyes again, the distant dock glowed faintly through the snow, and it filled him with a sense of anticipation.

This time around, he was going to find out the truth.

Thirty men.Thirty armed men had been crushed thoroughly in less than a minute. They couldn’t even put up the slightest resistance, and the man responsible for all of it stood calmly in the middle of the alley with a cold expression on his face.Sebastian slowly lifted his gaze and stared at Quide, and that single glance nearly made Quide, the head of a notorious gang, pee his pants. As Sebastian took a step forward, Quide staggered back, only to find his back still against the wall. His earlier arrogance had completely vanished, and the only emotion he was feeling was fear and regret.“H-how…” Quide’s voice shook violently, as though he was being suffocated. “What the hell are you…?”Sebastian didn’t answer. He simply walked toward him. Each footstep he took sounded slow and steady against the frozen ground, but to Quide, it felt like the approach of death itself.“D-don’t come any closer!” Quide shouted instinctively as he pulled out a Glock 19 with trembling hands. “I’ll shoot!”Th

Quide’s words had barely left his mouth when Sebastian’s expression changed."The Rose Corporation is being attacked?"Quide's smile widened, mistaking the question for concern. "That's right. Your precious fiancée is watching her company burn as we speak. And by the time we're done with you—"Sebastian stopped paying attention to Quide the moment he heard that Amelia’s company was being attacked. A faint crease appeared between his brows, and the indifferent calm in his eyes turned extremely cold.He had no love for Amelia, at least not yet, but she was still his fiancée. She was the woman his father had chosen for him, so she was under his protection, whether she knew it or not.“Boys, finish him!” Quide ordered coldly as he cracked his neck, the scar on his face twisting. “Break his legs slowly. I want to hear him scream.”The thirty men leaped forward at once. They moved with practiced coordination, surrounding him from every direction. The first man swung a steel pipe at Sebastia

The words hung heavily in the air, and for a brief moment, the entire pharmacy went silent. They both stared at Sebastian with shock, then the pharmacist snapped.“What nonsense!” the pharmacist snarled, his face flushing red with anger. “Do you have any idea what you’re saying?!”His voice rose sharply, breaking the tense silence as he glared at Sebastian with unbridled hostility“Who do you think you are? How dare you interrupt a consultation and spout such baseless claims?”“My claims are not baseless.” Sebastian replied coolly, but his indifference only made the pharmacist more furious.“You ignorant fool!” he barked angrily. “Do you even understand the least thing about medicine? Or are you just talking to hear your own voice?”Evelyn remained silent, but her expression had grown colder. Her sharp eyes rested on Sebastian, studying him carefully. There was no arrogance or attempt to show off in his attitude, only certainty.“On what basis are you making that claim?” Evelyn finall

The morning light filtered through the panoramic windows of the Rose Corporation headquarters, casting a soft glow across Amelia’s spacious office, with a view of the bustling city stretching endlessly beneath her.Amelia stood by the window with her arms folded, a cold and distant expression on her face. Behind her, Lisa sat comfortably on a plush sofa, a steaming hot cup of coffee in her hand as she spoke with a confident and dismissive tone.“I’m telling you, Amelia, you’re overthinking it,” Lisa said, waving her hand dismissively. “Sebastian? He’s just an ordinary soldier. There’s absolutely no way someone like him owns a card like that.”Amelia didn’t respond immediately. Instead, she furrowed her brows as she replayed the events of the previous night in her mind—the appearance of the Heavenly Dragon Card, Victoria Sterling’s sudden appearance, and the way everything had turned upside down so quickly.Something didn’t add up, but she couldn’t name what.Lisa leaned forward, her v

Victoria led Sebastian respectfully away from the stunned crowd, paying no attention to their whispers and hushed conversations. They arrived at a gold-plated elevator at the far end of the lobby. Victoria pressed a hidden panel beneath the call button, and the doors slid open instantly, and they stepped inside. The ride was smooth and silent, with Victoria standing just slightly behind him, her eyes fixed on his back. She studied his plain military uniform and saw nothing that suggested his importance. He had no rank, no insignia and no stars, and yet Isaac Rutherford had called her personally and warned her to treat him better than royalty. She couldn’t understand why. Why was he so respectful to an ordinary soldier?A few minutes later, the elevator doors slid open with a soft chime, revealing a private hallway that was lined with thick red carpets and warm golden lighting. At the end of the hallway stood a pair of double doors that was crafted with the finest mahogany, with two un

After all, a single word from her could decide the rise or fall of a company.Amelia’s brows furrowed slightly as she watched the reactions around her. She didn’t recognize Victoria immediately, but from the crowd’s response alone, she could tell this woman’s status was terrifyingly high.Lisa’s expression had also changed.
