Sebastian walked calmly into the Nine Dragons Pavilion with his hands tucked into his coat pockets.
The luxurious lobby was bustling with activity as managers worked meticulously, the atmosphere noticeably tense. It was as though they were waiting for the arrival of someone important.
However, Sebastian paid none of it any attention. He simply walked toward the reception desk.
The pretty receptionist smiled politely. “Good evening, sir. How may I—”
“What the hell! You again?!”
A sharp female voice suddenly cut through the lobby. Several guests who were nearby immediately turned their attention to the commotion.
Sebastian frowned slightly before turning around.
Lisa was already storming towards him in her high heels, her face filled with anger and disbelief. Amelia and Cameron were right behind her, following her at a slower pace.
“You creep!” she snapped furiously. “Why do you keep following us around everywhere?!”
Sebastian took a deep breath, his patience thinning.
“I’m not following you around.” Sebastian replied in irritation.
“Then why are you here?!” Lisa spat back.
“That’s none of your business.” Sebastian replied coldly.
Amelia folded her arms, her cold blue eyes fixed on Sebastian.
“Enough with the act,” she said frostily. “Cloud City isn’t that small. Are you really stalking us?”
“I could ask you the same thing.” Sebastian scoffed. “This is the second time I’ve run into you two today. Are you stalking me?”
“You—!” Amelia blushed angrily. She had never met such an ignorant yet insufferable person before!
She was the CEO of Rose Corporation, a multi-million-dollar company! Why would she need to stalk a mere soldier?!
“Me what?” Sebastian mocked.
Amelia’s face darkened, but before she could continue, Cameron suddenly stepped forward with an arrogant expression on his face.
“Who allowed a rat like you to step inside this building?” Cameron asked coldly as he glared at Sebastian. His eyes swept over Sebastian’s plain military uniform with disgust.
From how plain his uniform looked, it was clear that he didn’t have a good time in the military.
Sebastian narrowed his eyes slightly. “And you are?”
“This is Cameron. He’s on a completely different level when compared to a peasant like you."
"The difference between you and him is like the difference between heaven and earth.” Lisa answered disdainfully.
Sebastian scoffed inwardly at her statement. If she knew his real identity, she would know how laughable what she said was.
“I don’t care who he is. He’s just an ant to me.” Sebastian said.
Cameron’s expression instantly darkened.
“What did you just say?” he asked coldly.
“You heard me.” Sebastian replied indifferently.
“I’ve never seen such an ignorant fool before. This is definitely a surprise. Amelia, how did you even come across this trash?” Cameron laughed angrily.
Sebastian glanced at Amelia briefly, then spoke before she could answer.
“She's my fiancée.”
The atmosphere turned frigid instantly, and Amelia’s beautiful face flushed red with anger.
“Don’t talk nonsense!” she snapped immediately. “That engagement means nothing! I’ll speak to Grandpa and get it cancelled no matter what!”
However, Cameron’s expression had already turned ugly. He narrowed his eyes slightly, his hands curling into fists.
Fiancé? This lowly soldier was Amelia’s fiancé?
Although he had heard rumors about the Lockwood family arranging a marriage for Amelia, he never expected it to be true. Even worse, her fiancé was actually some nobody.
A lowly soldier to boot!
“So you’re the trash the Lockwood family picked for Amelia?” Cameron sneered. “You’re not even qualified to polish my shoes. How dare you shamelessly call yourself her fiancé?”
“He’s just a shameless stalker and pretentious fool.” Lisa added mockingly. “He probably saw Amelia’s beauty and decided to cling to her.”
Sebastian’s expression turned cold. Cameron stepped closer and looked Sebastian up and down disdainfully.
“Listen carefully,” he said arrogantly. “A place like Nine Dragons Pavilion isn’t somewhere a lowly soldier like you can enter. You’ll fit right in standing outside as a security guard instead.”
Before Sebastian could reply, a waiter hurried over after noticing the commotion.
“Young Master Cameron, is there a problem?” the waiter, Simon, asked fawningly.
Cameron immediately pointed at Sebastian with a disgusted look.
“This rat wandered in here and is disturbing the peace of this place. Throw him out.” Cameron ordered coldly.
The waiter immediately turned toward Sebastian. He noticed his plain appearance and saw that he looked completely ordinary. His polite expression disappeared immediately.
“This isn’t a place that trash like you should be causing trouble,” he said coldly. “Please leave immediately.”
“And why exactly should I leave?” Sebastian asked coldly.
“That’s because trash like you are not welcome here. People like you only lower the standards of this establishment."
"You better leave while I’m being nice. If the security gets here, I’ll have you beaten up before throwing you out!” Simon replied contemptuously.
The commotion caused had already drawn the attention of everyone in the lobby, and they immediately started gossiping.
“Who let him in?” a middle-aged man in an expensive suit glanced at Sebastian’s plain appearance in disgust.
“Hah, look at his clothes,” someone else chimed in. “Can he even afford a glass of water here?”
"Hmph. He’s probably one of those trash that wandered in without knowing his place.” A woman adorned with diamond jewellery said scornfully.
The mocking whispers grew louder and louder, with several people looking at Sebastian with great contempt.
“This place isn’t somewhere trash like you can enter casually.” Cameron glanced around the magnificent lobby.
“The lowest annual spending requirement here starts from hundreds of thousands of dollars. The third floor alone requires connections most people can’t imagine.”
“How can a mere soldier like you ever afford to even step foot inside here?” He sneered.
Cameron stepped closer to Sebastian.
“Let me give you some important advice. A very important guest invited personally by Isaac Rutherford will be arriving tonight.” Cameron smiled coldly.
“If you offend someone like that by causing trouble here, nobody in Cloud City will be able to save you.”
“Sebastian, you better save yourself the trouble and leave now. Don’t even expect my grandpa to clean up your mess. Not even he will be able to save you if you keep causing trouble here," Amelia said coldly.
Sebastian stared at them calmly and then replied with a cold smile. His reply carried a hint of nonchalance and unhurried composure.
“Oh really? But what if I say the ones in trouble might be you instead?”

The rooftop lounge was quiet for a Saturday afternoon.Bright golden sunlight shone radiantly on the glass railing of the rooftop lounge of the prestigious Heavens Hotel, casting a warm glow on the elegant space.Potted winter jasmine bloomed softly in porcelain planters, their delicate fragrance mingling with the rich aroma of freshly brewed Keemun tea as soft classical music played softly in the background. The snow drifted gently across the manicured gardens as a gentle breeze carried the cold air more often than not.Amelia sat on a plush outdoor sofa, wrapped in a soft cream-coloured cashmere coat that hugged her elegant figure. Her platinum blonde hair was tied in a loose ponytail, a few strands dancing across her face in the light wind. She cradled a warm porcelain cup of keemun tea between her palms, letting the steam rise and brush against her cheeks.Across her, Lisa relaxed comfortably in a stylish wool sweater and high-waisted trousers, her legs crossed as she sipped her o

Chapter 39
Sebastian stepped out of the Lockwood Manor gates into the biting night air. The cold wind carried the faint scent of pine from the estate’s gardens, but it did little to cool the fury simmering in his blood. His handsome face was devoid of any warmth, and the teasing smile he had worn moments ago while speaking with Amelia had completely vanished, replaced by a chilling, bloodthirsty aura that made the surrounding atmosphere feel heavier and almost oppressive. He walked down the snowy pavements with steady, purposeful steps, his hands tucked into his pockets. The moment he was far enough from the manor gates, he pulled out his phone and dialled Isaac Rutherford directly.“Mr. Helios,” Isaac greeted respectfully the moment the phone call connected. “I take it you’ve received my text.”“Yes. Explain everything.” Sebastian replied, his tone cold and commanding.“Of course, my lord.” There was a rustle of papers on the other end, then Isaac’s voice returned.“After receiving your orders,

Catherine slammed both palms against the dining table and rose abruptly to her feet, her chair scraping harshly against the polished floor.“Absolutely not!” she snapped angrily. “My daughter will not marry that useless scoundrel!”Her finger pointed accusingly toward Sebastian. "This bastard has no status, no career, and no future! What right does he have to marry Amelia?!”“Catherine!” Henry roared thunderously. His eyes blazed with anger at his daughter-in-law’s outburst, but Catherine was beyond caring. Her chest heaved with rage as she glared at Sebastian, her jewellery glinting under the chandelier lights.George stood up more slowly, but he was equally agitated. He tried to remain calm and maintain his composure, but his voice was still filled with disbelief.“Dad, why are you trying to hand Amelia over to someone like Sebastian?” George glared at him as he continued speaking.“He has absolutely nothing to offer and is clearly here to leech off the Lockwood family!”Henry’s knu
Chapter 37
Henry Lockwood was dressed in a black silk robe embroidered with subtle silver threading. He leaned lightly on his cane, the polished ebony handle still smooth notwithstanding the long years of use. Despite his age, his back remained straight, and his cold blue eyes swept across the room with the kind of authority that didn't need to announce itself. The moment he saw Sebastian, his eyes lit up with joy. He strode forward enthusiastically and patted Sebastian on the shoulder. "Sebastian, my boy! You’re finally here.” Henry was all smiles as he greeted him warmly. “It’s a pleasure to see you.” Sebastian expertly hid his dissatisfaction at Amelia’s parents and smiled back at Henry. He wouldn’t lower himself to their level, but he was beginning to question the character of the Lockwood family. “The pleasure is all mine, Henry," Sebastian replied politely. “Nonsense.” Henry waved him off gently. “Since everyone is here, let’s have our lunch like a proper family.” Henry’s ar
Chapter 36
Amelia froze, and for a few seconds she simply stared at him, her mind struggling to process his words. The Black Dragon floor of the Nine Dragons Pavilion? The most luxurious hotel in Cloud City? She stared at Sebastian for a few more seconds before suddenly laughing. “Yeah, right," she scoffed. “And I own a mansion in Celestia Hills.” “Celestia Hills? Where’s that?” Sebastian asked curiously. “You don’t know?” Amelia looked at him exasperatedly, then remembered that her fiancé just arrived in Cloud City a few days ago. It was normal for him to not know. “Celestia Hills is the most exclusive residential district in Cloud City.” “It’s the kind of place where money alone isn’t enough to gain entry. Even if one possessed hundreds of millions of dollars, you still need status and connections to set foot there.” Amelia explained. “Ohh, I see.” Sebastian nodded his head. “Wait, why am I even telling you about this? People of your status can never step foot there.” Amelia scoffed a
