“You’re nothing but a thief! What kind of parents raised you, huh?! You will spend the rest of your life in prison, I’ll make sure of that!”
Of course, Verna did not think that the card belonged to Finn. It was preposterous. How could a pauper-looking guy like him own a Supreme Card? It was unthinkable. He must have stolen it from the VIP room when the manager wasn’t paying attention. That must have been his goal all along. “Sly criminal…” “Give it back to me!” Finn demanded. “No!” Verna yelled at him. “Don’t think you're ever gonna get away with this, you thief!” A crowd of people, upon hearing the commotion, had already surrounded them. They joined Verna to berate Finn with condescending looks. Meanwhile, after putting everything in place, Callum finally made his way outside, hoping he would be able to meet up with Finn. That young man was his biggest client as of that moment. He had never seen such assets from someone clearly in his twenties, a college student. Who really was he? What family did he come from? He made a mental note to take every opportunity to form a good relationship with Finn. But when he stepped into the main hall, he saw Verna hitting Finn’s chest, yelling at him so unprofessionally and all the clients seemed to be in support. “The securities should quickly apprehend this thief?! He thinks he can waltz into CentraBank like it’s his living room. I'm gonna show you that this establishment is not one to mess with, you fool!” Verna kept yelling at Finn in anger. Callum’s eyes widened and he noticed Finn was having enough, his hands turning into fists. “Shit! That idiot, Verna, is ruining things,” he cursed. “How could she treat someone with more than two hundred billion in his account with such hostility? Is she digging her grave?” He quickly rushed toward them. “What on earth do you think you are doing, Verna?!” Callum shouted. Before Finn could say anything, Verna waved the Supreme Card in her hand to Callum. “Manager, I caught him stealing this.” Verna had a gloating smile on her face, thinking she would definitely be praised for saving the bank’s reputation and loss. She might even have a chance to get rewarded or promoted this time given Callum’s influence at the headquarters. But Callum’s grim look was the least she expected. Before she could ask why, she was immediately startled the moment he yelled, “How could you treat Mr. Lachlan in that manner?! Have you no manners?! Are you dumb?!” Callum snatched the Supreme Card from Verna who was in shock. Callum shoved Verna aside like she was a piece of dirt, and doubled over in front of Finn with the Supreme Card in his hand. “Mr. Lachlan, I personally apologize… I am extremely sorry for failing to manage my subordinates well.” Callum’s respectful manner toward Finn stunned everyone present in the hall, and it got them asking curious questions to themselves. Who is this guy? Is he like super rich? Why doesn't he look like it? The young man looked more like a college kid from the way he was dressed, not some kind of big shot or magnate. Finn took the card and shoved it back into his pocket. “I’m not in the mood for this,” he said, his glare on Verna who did nothing but waste his time. He was late for class already. “I’m sorry, Mr. Lachlan… we’re sorry,” Callum apologized, his head still bowed. He turned to Verna who still stood there in shock and gave her a warning look. “What are you doing?! Do you wanna get fired?! Apologize to Mr. Lachlan now!” Verna, although still confused, immediately bowed to Finn. “Mr. Lachlan, please accept my sincere apology for my rude behavior earlier. I was ignorant. I will reflect deeply on myself. “Yeah, whatever,” Finn dismissed and walked away, completely ignoring them. Callum was pissed as Finn walked away. He could tell Finn was still angry and because of that, he was unable to give Finn his business card. “Damn it,” he cursed under his breath and glared at Verna who lowered her gaze in fear, looking very sorry. At Citadel College Finn entered late into the classroom from the back door, gaining everyone’s attention. They were all surprised because he was never late to class. Dana shook her head, chuckling mockingly, and said to herself, “He must have cried all night because of me. What a loser.” “You’re late to my class, Finnick,” Professor Hockley said with disappointment in his eyes. “Apologies, Prof, it won’t repeat itself.” Finn made his way to an empty seat which was beside a blonde girl, the actual beautiful girl in class and even the whole faculty, but stoic and hard to approach. She had rejected almost every guy in school, earning the name Arctic Rose. After the class ended, Finn relaxed in his seat, thinking of how he was gonna see his father. It’s been three years and it’s inevitable. “Do I even miss him?” he muttered to himself with a displeased frown on his face. “Dana!” A voice came from the back door. Everyone in class, including Finn looked in the direction of the voice and saw it was Jerome Danvers. Jerome walked through the back door and toward Dana who was sitting close to the door. Seeing him, Dana’s expression brightened, and she rose from her seat, immediately kissing Jerome on the lips. Everyone gasped in shock at the unexpected sight.

“Work together?” Finn let out a low chuckle, shaking his head. “I don’t need any help, Jason. As you can see, I’m not doing anything right now.”Jason frowned, his confusion evident. He was silent for a while before saying, “Come on, Finn, don’t be like this. Work with me here. I know you're doing something. Seeing you speaking with Nathan Palace confirmed that you're friends with him. I doubted it at first, but the way you two spoke looked… friendly. You must’ve told him something. What was it?”Finn took another drag from his cigarette, his tone dismissive. “There’s nothing for you to know, Jason. Like I said, it’s none of your business.”“How is it none of my business?!” Jason snapped, a desperate look in his eyes. “It was me who brought Gia’s problem to you guys, so stop being selfish, Finn! If you’re doing something to help her, let’s team up. Is that so difficult to do, huh?! All I'm saying is you don't have to do it on your own. What are you even trying to prove? Do you even li

Finn and Jeffer met at a small coffee shop. As soon as Jeffer spotted Finn, he pulled him into a tight hug. “It’s been ages, you silly bastard! Look at you, all grown up!” When he pulled back, his expression turned to a frown as he took in Finn’s appearance. “But seriously, what’s with this look? Are you testing out how pauper clothes look on you?”Finn scoffed, heading straight to the nearest seat. “I never told any of you, but my father punished me for that whole gambling mess.”Jeffer’s eyes widened in surprise as he took the seat opposite Finn. “Really? I remember being shocked, thinking your dad was letting you off too easy as his only son, especially after you lost that insane amount of money the first time. So, he actually punished you, huh? I told you that you were taking it too far.”Finn shook his head, his tone colder now. “I still hold him responsible for my mother’s death, but I have no intention of getting punished again now that the restrictions are gone.”Jeffer nodde

“Who?” Nathan asked as he sat across from Finn at the Neon Bar, where Finn had arranged to meet and discuss something urgent.“A bastard named Galvin Smith,” Finn replied curtly. “I’m sure you’ve heard of him.”Nathan nodded, leaning back. “Yeah, I know that piece of work. That guy’s bad news—definitely not someone to cross,” he said, glancing briefly at the waiter who poured their beers with visibly trembling hands before bowing and walking away quickly.Nathan blinked, noting how cautious everyone seemed around Finn. It still amazed him that Finn was the real deal—a Lancaster hiding in plain sight.“Finn, can I ask something?” Nathan leaned in, curiosity sparking. “Why do you keep such a low profile? No one would guess you’re a Lancaster dressed like this. And your name—Lachlan—that’s not even your last name, right?”Finn scoffed, a faint smirk forming. “That’s my middle name.”“Oh,” Nathan said, realization dawning. “So, you’ve been using your middle name as your last name to keep

Groans and the sound of punches echoed through the room, accompanied by frightened yells. In a campus playroom where the school’s privileged elites gathered to drink, play poker, and indulge in games like darts and billiards, chaos had broken out. A young man lay on the ground near the wall, battered and bleeding as he endured a relentless barrage of punches.“Stop, Galvin! You’re going to kill him!” one of the guys shouted desperately, but Galvin ignored the plea.He just kept punching, and punching mercilessly. Most of the room’s occupants froze, abandoning their games to watch the brutal scene unfold. Those who had been playing darts and other games flinched with every punch that connected, their faces twisted in discomfort and fear—except for one person, who remained disturbingly unaffected.“Lukas! Lukas! Can’t you get him to stop?!” Another guy begged desperately. Lukas, lounging casually on a sofa, barely spared a glance at the scene. His expression remained bored as he saw G

“The police?!” Melanie exclaimed, her voice rising enough to draw Gia and Colette’s attention.Vincent nodded, already pulling out his phone. “Yes, let’s call them or go to the station. This is exactly what the police are for.”“Are you guys dumb?” Finn asked them with a frown. “The police won’t do anything about this.”“And why wouldn't they, Mr. Know-it-all? Isn’t this the perfect situation for law enforcement to intervene?” Vincent asked him.Gia sniffled quietly and spoke up, her voice hoarse from crying. “Finn’s right. Calling them is pointless.” She slowly sat up, her tear-streaked face pale and her red, puffy eyes revealing her exhaustion.Colette handed her a tissue, and Gia wiped her face as she continued with a trembling voice. “If we involve the police… it’ll only make things even more troublesome.”Colette shot the boys a furious glare. “You guys are just so stupid! I don't even know what you're doing here! How could you possibly think involving the police is a good idea,
