Harold clenched his fist and stared at me menacingly, "You know what? Back when we were at the company, I always wanted to beat you up. Unfortunately, I never had the chance. Today, I finally caught you. Watch me make you cry for mercy!"

I coldly laughed at his words. You wanted to beat me? I wanted to beat you too. With all grievances combined, it seemed inevitable that we needed to settle this matter today.

"It's not convenient to fight here. Let's go over there; I'll teach you a lesson!" Harold glanced at the two women on the nearby beach while saying this.

"You? What are you? You teach me a lesson?"

I contemptuously replied.

"Do you dare to come at me? You little brat! Last time, you took advantage of me. When it comes to fighting, I've never feared anyone!"

Harold acted tough, twisting his neck and moving his body.

On the surface, this guy seemed somewhat sturdy, while I was lean. Perhaps Harold considered this an advantage, but in reality, he was just being fat, and I regularly exercised, having plenty of muscles.

I sneered and didn't bother wasting more words. I went straight at him, delivering a powerful kick to his knee.

Harold couldn't maintain his balance and was kicked to the ground, howling in pain while holding his knee.

"You little brat, you actually attacked me! I won't let you off!" Harold angrily shouted.

"Dealing with garbage like you doesn't require a specific place. Right here, I'll kick your ass!"

I jumped over and grabbed Harold's collar, landing several punches directly on his face.

The feeling of each punch hitting flesh was incredibly satisfying!

Harold was left gasping for air, his eye sockets turning purple quickly.

However, he continued to mumble curses at me.

It seemed this scumbag was still unwilling to admit defeat. Today, I had to make him surrender!

Unexpectedly, the commotion attracted the attention of our companions, and they rushed over.

Lillian even threw herself onto Harold, crying, "Stop it, please stop!"

"Christopher! I misjudged you. You're hitting people again! Stop it!" Queenie glared at me, furious.

The two women helped Harold up, showing concern, "How are you, Harold?"

"I'm fine. Don't blame Christopher. It was my fault for burning the rabbit; that's why he got angry," Harold sighed, appearing remorseful.

His pitiful appearance immediately triggered the anger of the two women, who stared at me indignantly.

"Look at Harold and then at yourself. Aren't you ashamed? It's just half a rabbit! Is this how you treat your companions? Do you think you're superior just because you can catch some wild animals? I don't believe we can't survive without you. The rescue team will come soon!" Queenie scolded me.

"I can't stand people like you who abuse their power, acting arrogantly. It's nauseating!" Lillian added.

I couldn't believe it!

Harold, this scoundrel, was skilled at distorting the truth, pretending to be pitiful and apologizing. Yet, these two women were foolish enough to believe him?

Fine, suit yourselves. I had run out of patience at this point, and even Mandy wanted to explain, but I stopped her.

"Alright, since you all dislike me so much, let's go our separate ways. You three can live on your own, and I'll be with Mandy."

Saying that, I grabbed Mandy's hand and walked away.

"If you want to leave, go ahead. Nobody wants you anyway!"

Lillian spat behind me.

Queenie turned her head, not looking at me, with an expression that said, "You can leave if you want."

In the eyes of these two women, having Harold, the wilderness survival expert, was enough.

They probably saw me as a nuisance—just a guy who was lecherous, bragged a lot, and wasn't of much use. With Harold around, they believed they could manage just fine.

I didn't feel like saying much. Time would reveal the truth.

Harold wouldn't be of much help. He was like a pig, good for nothing but eating. Soon, these two women would experience hardship with him.

It was time to teach a lesson to Queenie.

After she found out what kind of person he really was, she'd come looking for me.

But what angered me more was that as I turned and walked a few steps away, Lillian and Queenie stopped Mandy. They kindly advised her, "Lady, you better stay with us. This guy is not a good person. We used to work with him, and he's not skilled, he's lecherous and likes to brag. He's definitely not a good guy!"

I was furious. Queenie, you idiot! If I were the person you described, would I have been so kind to you earlier?

After hearing this, I somewhat regretted it. Anyway, if Queenie already saw me this way, why bother pretending to be a decent person in the first place?

"No need."

Mandy naturally declined their offer. She glanced meaningfully at Queenie and said, "Listening to one side of the story is not a good habit. Sometimes things are not as you imagine."

Queenie was left dumbfounded by her words.

Lillian grabbed her hand and suddenly said, "I can see that this woman and him have some abnormal relationship, a pair of scheming couple!"

Not many people knew about my previous relationship with Lillian. Hearing her badmouthing me at that moment, Queenie didn't suspect anything. Instead, she listened attentively and couldn't help but snort, spitting on the ground.

Mandy's words were instantly dismissed by her.

On our side, escaping from the burden of Harold should make me happy, but at this moment, my mood couldn't help but become a bit low.

The feeling of being wrongly accused wasn't pleasant.

Back in the company, I was wrongly accused, and now, even on this deserted island, it was the same.

A scoundrel remains a scoundrel wherever they go!

Seeing that I was not in a good mood, Mandy reached out her fair hand, tightly holding mine, and gave me a comforting smile.

"Cheer up a bit. Smile for me. That scoundrel will have a hard time sooner or later."

She playfully pinched my cheek, her hand slightly cool but very soft. Her sudden closeness made my heart race again.

"Look at your silly face. I think what they said is half believable. You really seem a bit lecherous!" Mandy laughed.

I couldn't help but feel a bit embarrassed. My face turned slightly red. Could you blame me for this? Every time it was you came near me!

With Mandy's playful banter, my mood improved significantly. The two of us went back into the jungle, reaching the river where Mandy had washed earlier. In no time, we caught several big fish from the river. However, instead of going back to the cave, we headed back to the seaside.

"Let's barbecue by the beach, have some meat, and let them smell how good it is!" I came up with a good idea.

"Hahaha, you're so mean!" Mandy also laughed happily and gave me a thumbs-up.

True to our words, we soon reached the beach, set up a bonfire, and started grilling the fish. The aroma of the grilled fish quickly spread far away.

It didn't take long for Queenie and Lillian, not far from us, to catch a whiff. Both of them looked stunned, unable to resist swallowing their saliva.

I felt quite uneasy, but I didn't share these thoughts with Mandy.I continued walking along the coastline, hoping to make more discoveries.Unfortunately, as time passed, Mandy and I didn't find anything significant. The only thing that made us somewhat happy was a small fragment of wreckage on the beach. From this wreckage, I found a fire axe, a tool with tremendous utility.Firstly, it could be used to chop trees and bamboo, saving me the strenuous effort and time it took to use stones. More importantly, it could serve as a weapon. Even if we encountered fierce beasts, I wouldn't be defenseless.Since I had beaten Harold earlier, he was nursing a grudge. With this axe, it would act as a deterrent. However, what made both Mandy and me uneasy was that after the sunset, the sky suddenly darkened unusually. Patches of ominous clouds floated in, and gusts of strong wind swept through. The trees by the beach were swaying and rustling as if emitting an eerie laughter.Without a doubt, thi

However, Queenie quickly suppressed her craving, instead giving me a disdainful glare and turning her head away. Lillian, on the other hand, occasionally glanced at Harold, who was still busy by the sea, with a hint of regret in her eyes."Don't worry, Harold will surely find something to eat. He's not worse than that guy!" Queenie said, still holding high expectations for Harold. The two women sat by the campfire, watching Harold flipping and searching along the seashore from a distance, hoping he would find something to eat. As they waited, their stomachs growled, and hunger consumed them.Meanwhile, on our side, we had already eaten. The fish on this island were naturally fresh and uncontaminated. I grilled the fish to perfection, releasing a burst of delicious aroma. The combination of the fish's fragrance and the refreshing bamboo juice made the experience even more enjoyable than having a feast in the city. Mandy and I were happily indulging in laughter and joy.Seeing our enjoy

Soon, I managed to prepare half of the roasted rabbit meat, and I kept the other half for later. Although half a rabbit might not be enough to satisfy our hunger, it was essential to have some emergency food reserves.Everyone enjoyed the meal, and the previously gloomy atmosphere vanished. Laughter and conversation filled the air once again."I'll go catch rabbits in the forest tomorrow. Catching rabbits is also my specialty; it's quite simple! Just burn some branches, let the smoke into the rabbit hole," boasted Harold, full of confidence after having a satisfying meal.Listening to his words, I couldn't help but find it amusing. This guy must have watched too much TV. Smoking out rabbits? The method might sound feasible, but it was challenging to execute. There's a saying, "A wary rabbit has three burrows." Rabbit holes usually have more than one exit.If you smoke one exit, the rabbit will escape from another. Unless you block all exits beforehand, but these exits were typically w

"Alright, it's my showtime!" Harold Locke eagerly expressed his desire to showcase his abilities in front of the beautiful ladies."Go for it, Harold, we're counting on you!" Lillian looked at Harold with admiration. When a woman was deeply in love, she tended to believe every word her lover said.Queenie also had a better impression of Harold Locke. After all, compared to me, who she perceived as lecherous, lazy, and boastful, Harold Locke was an outstanding professional and a trustful vice president in the company."I don't know who it is, but just finding some food and getting so arrogant, thinking highly of themselves. Today, I'm going to find a lot of food and let certain people know what I'm made of!" Harold Locke deliberately said, glancing at me disdainfully. He still held a grudge from the beating I gave him earlier and occasionally wanted to mock me."Harold is so amazing." Lillian looked at me with disdain, as if wanting to prove that abandoning me was the right choice.Alt

At that moment, Harold Locke and Lillian Chester looked extremely miserable. They were no longer the bright and glamorous figures they used to be in the company. They seemed to have gone through a lot of hardships, with tattered clothes, and dirty and disheveled appearances. If they hadn't spoken, both I and Queenie would have almost mistaken them for wild people on the island. It seemed that they smelled the aroma of our grilled fish, which led them to find us."Harold, Lillian, how did you two end up in such a pitiful state!" Queenie exclaimed in surprise. They walked over, emitting a foul smell, and Queenie covered her nose in disgust, moving a bit closer to me.It amused me. This woman has been quite disdainful of me these past few days. Now it seemed that having capable subordinates was more unbearable for her than I am. It was really amusing."We're starving! Is there anything to eat? Give us some, we're starving!" As they approached, they stared at the grilled fish on our rack,
