The streets of Ravenmoor were unusually tense that afternoon.

Convoys of armored black vehicles sliced through traffic like sharks in open water. Their windows were tinted jet-black, their movements silent and synchronized—predators in formation.

On each license plate: a single golden insignia.

The Emblem of the King of War.

Inside one of the lead vehicles, a soldier pressed a finger to his earpiece. “Target has changed direction. I repeat—the King of War’s location has shifted. He’s now heading toward Emerald Palace.”

“Redirect all units,” came the cold, automatic reply from the telecom. “I want eyes on the restaurant in five minutes. Lock it down quietly. No alarms, no panic. He must not be disturbed.”

“Yes, sir.”

The convoy made a hard U-turn at the intersection, sirens off, tires whispering across the asphalt as they cut a path toward one of the city’s crown jewels.

The air outside the shattered Thornfell building still crackled with tension. Glass crunched underfoot as Drax stepped toward Shadow, cracking his knuckles with slow, deliberate menace. His eyes burned with quiet contempt.“Heh…” Drax let out a dark chuckle, his voice low and mocking. “Don’t get it twisted. You’re still breathing because my boss—” he jerked his chin toward Jaden, “—wants answers. Otherwise, I’d have snapped your spine already.”Shadow wiped blood from his mouth, still struggling to steady himself after Drax’s earlier strike. His pride screamed, but his mind calculated. His eyes narrowed, lips curling into a sly grin.“A man of your caliber… a master of core strength…” Shadow's voice slithered with persuasion, “—wasting your loyalty on Jaden Rift? What can he possibly offer you? Stick with me—” his voice dipped into temptation, “—you and I could split Ravenmoor down the middle. No one would dare challenge us.”Drax stared at him, unimpressed. Then—Ptu!—he spat at Shado

The man who shattered his brother Derek’s legs like twigs… the one who razed the powerful Gravesend family to ashes in a single day.And now, that man was standing inches away, calm… composed… smiling.Brown’s legs nearly buckled, panic flashing across his face. But a steady hand gripped his shoulder.“Stay calm,” Shadow—Master Kendal—said quietly, his voice low but commanding. “You’ve got nothing to fear. He won’t lay a finger on you… not while I’m here.”Reluctantly, Brown exhaled, forcing a shaky smile.“Thank you… Master Kendal.” Relief flooded his face, though the tremble in his voice

The hall remained eerily silent as Brown Thornfell took center stage, his sharp eyes scanning the wreckage left behind by Shadow—bodies strewn across the floor, guards crushed like paper, Fate trembling beside her wounded father.A smirk curled across Brown's face.“Haha… the Thornfells,” Shadow—Master Kendal—chuckled with rare humility. His manic demeanor subdued, replaced by careful respect. “I wouldn’t dare compare myself to your father, Lucian Thornfell… I’m ashamed to even stand here beside his bloodline.”Brown waved dismissively, his presence radiating quiet arrogance as he paced toward Fate. His eyes, cold and calculating, locked onto her, lingering longer than they should.“I arrived fashionably late, seems like I’ve missed the warm-up,” Brown said casually, his voice carrying both charm and danger. “But… who’s this lovely girl?”Fate stiffened under his stare, disgust and fear flashing across her face.Shadow’s lips twisted into a grin. “Brother, you came bearing gifts… yet

Ravenmoor City Penitentiary — Cell Block DThe metallic clang of doors echoed down the grimy corridor. Inside Cell 17, the air stank of sweat, damp cement, and desperation. The fluorescent lights flickered overhead, casting jagged shadows along the concrete walls.A towering inmate paced the cell, muscles rippling beneath his inked skin. His name was Rocco — or so he barked at everyone.“Listen up!” Rocco bellowed, slamming his fist into the wall, cracking the plaster. “You’re all under my roof now. You breathe because I say you breathe. You sleep when I say you sleep. In here…” His eyes scanned the shivering men pressed against the walls. “…I’m the master.”Several nervous inmates nodded obediently, their eyes darting to the floor.
