Warden was short for words at the reports. He found it really difficult to believe that this had happened that day!

“You're saying these things happened?”

Kelvin bows his head in acknowledgement, leaving Warden even more stunned than he was before..

“Fruits never fall far from its tree,” Warden said to himself, genuinely surprised.

He hurried towards his library, and settled behind his desk. Scribbling on a paper, he wrote out a message, sealed it up and handed it to Kelvin who had followed him all the way from the balcony into the office..

“You need to be very careful when delivering this. You can't get caught”

“There will be no reason to worry Master, there will be nothing to worry about Kelvin assured as he took his leave.

He bumps into Ellinor at the door Who stared at him in silence. What is this long haired stranger? And what is he doing in the Master's study?

“Ellinor, come on in”

He walked in and the stranger was out of sight in seconds. Ellinor settled down in front of the master, knowing she couldn't ask him who that was.

If he wanted them to be acquainted, Warden would have let them get to meet.

“How's your training with Keith going?”

“Master, something happened today at the training ground. I am certain you are aware of what I am about to discuss.”

Warden exhaled, Ellinor knew him so well. There was no way something like that happened in the mansion and he had yet to hear about it..

“I am shocked by myself , Ellinor. I knew that Keith had something special in him”

Ellinor wasn't sure what parts of what she was about to say would sound like she was crossing the line..

“Master, if a commoner is found with super powers it is one of two things. He stole the marking of a dead gifted or he has blurred blood running in his veins”

Warden nods in understanding, he knew that he wasn't going to get out of this anytime soon.

Ellinor is one of the smartest assassins he's been able to train. To think that this would happen in his presence and he wouldn't ask questions is the biggest fantasy a man can have..

“Keith's level of control is like that of a man born with these gifts. He has to be related to a member of the elite society”

Warden exhaled “You are always so smart Ellinor. Nothing leaves your sight without you asking the right questions”

Ellinor was staring at him in seriousness, she wasn't ready to have Warden sweep this under the mud so easily.

“Keith is related to an elite isn't he? He's not some random commoner”

“I can't tell you “

“Master, you never keep secrets from me!” Ellinor reminded

Warden nods in agreement, a small smile on his face. “That is very correct but I want you to trust me, Ellinor. It is best you don't know whose son he is” he adds calmly.

Ellinor stared at him in silence, there had to be a reason the Master had decided not to tell her who Keith was and she could understand.

“All will be revealed in due time but for now, it's important no one knows who Keith is. I mean no one” he said once more as though passing a note of warning to Ellinor.

Ellinor nods “I understand Master. My apologies for not respecting…”

Warden waves him off, there was no need to apologise. He only stated an observation which only made Warden want to make sure Keith is protected at all cost!

“You had a question and you asked, there's no need to apologise” Warden assured

Ellinor bows her head and steps out of the room. She was deep I thought, trying to recall if Warden had given away the and were to her questions without her realising it…

He was very calm, he wasn't giving away anything.

“That blue eyed….”

Rose bumped into Ellinor who caught her by the shoulder, helping Rose to stand straight.

“That was close. Thank you” Rose sa8d, trying to catch her breath.

“Is something wrong?” Ellinor asked, sensing Rose was very irritated by something or someone.

“It's that man with the long hair! I have no idea what he's doing here but seeing brings back very awful memories! “

It took a moment for Ellinor to realise who Rose was talking about. She stares at Rose with her eyes wide open..

“The man in the blue cloak?”

“You met him? He's such an arrogant brute! “ Rose said again.

Rose was like an angel, it was rare to see her very upset about anything. If she is irritated, then the man in the blue cloak mist has done something horrible..

Ellinor's curiosity kicked in, she wanted to know everything Rose knew about the man..

“What did he do?”

“I met him once on my eight and ten years birthday. I wanted to catch my scarf from the wind and he caught it. At first I was grateful but he tossed it in the muddy water and left! I don't like the sight of him and recalling how terrible a person he is makes my blood boil!” Rose muttered.

She is really upset now but Ellinor had just one more question, despite knowing this discussion would only make Rose even more upset.

“Do you know his name?”

Rose shook her head “He does visits father often but i've never heard him say his name”

Often? Ellinor wondered how many secrets the Master has been keeping away from her all this while!

As it appears, she's not the favourite as she thought she was…

“I heard what happened on the training ground. Paula said you were there. Is it true Keith has a really strong wave?” Rose asked with a smile on her face.

“I can see Paula can still talk uhm?” Ellinor said in irritation.

“You left him and his men stuck to the wall. I had to get juniors to help them out…”

“I'm surprised the juniors agreed”

Rose flicked her tongue, Ellinor's dislike for Paula was certainly eternal!
