Han Nian walked along the main road until he arrived at a large three-story restaurant.

The building was magnificent, with polished red wooden pillars and lanterns hanging at every corner. On the signboard in front, it read: Kaganangan Restaurant. He entered with calm steps. The attendants greeted him warmly and invited him in.

Inside, the atmosphere was bustling. The aroma of food mingled with the conversations of the guests. Several cultivators sat together, discussing hunts or the prices of elixirs.

Han Nian chose a table in the corner nearest the window. From there, he could observe both the interior and exterior activities simultaneously.

A female attendant approached. “What would you like to order, young sir?”

Han Nian smiled lightly. “I wish to meet the owner of this Kaganangan Restaurant.”

The attendant paused for a moment. Her gaze appraised him from head to toe. Handsome face. Simple clothes. Aura… ordinary, because it had been suppressed.

“May I ask the purpose of your visit?” she asked cautiously.

“There’s something I wish to sell. And perhaps ask a few questions about the city.”

The attendant hesitated even more.

Usually, those requesting to meet the owner were major merchants or influential cultivators. Yet she maintained her professional composure. “Please wait a moment.” She turned and walked toward the wooden stairs, ascending to the upper floor.

Han Nian’s divine consciousness moved silently, following her to the third floor.

There, he sensed the strongest aura in the building.

A moment later, footsteps came descending the stairs.

The attendant returned.

Behind her walked a middle-aged man in a dark brown robe. His gaze was sharp, his steps firm, and his aura well-controlled.

The man approached Han Nian’s table.

“Young one wishes to meet me?” His voice was deep but polite.

Han Nian slightly rose and cupped his hands. “Greetings, Senior.”

The man studied Han Nian carefully. He attempted to sweep him with his spiritual perception.

But there were no clear fluctuations. Like gazing through a thin, impenetrable mist. His brows twitched subtly. “Interesting…”

He smiled faintly.

In the world of cultivation, there were two possibilities when one could not detect someone’s level:

First — the person had studied techniques to hide their cultivation.

Second — the person’s level was far higher, making their aura too overwhelming to read.

Though Han Nian appeared to be a teenager, his composure and measured words left Zhang Wei unwilling to act recklessly.

In the cultivation world, underestimating someone based on age alone… often ended in death.

Han Nian glanced around the bustling first floor.

Several pairs of eyes still watched him discreetly.

“Could we speak somewhere quieter?” he said softly. “I’ve come to sell Spirit Beast meat. It’s not wise to draw too much attention.”

Zhang Wei squinted slightly, then nodded. “Please, follow me.”

They ascended to the third floor. The atmosphere upstairs was much calmer. Only a few private rooms were reserved for important guests.

Once inside one of the enclosed rooms, Han Nian raised his hand without preamble. Instantly, the Golden Lion body appeared, filling almost half the room.

The aura of a level three Spirit Beast immediately filled the air.

Zhang Wei took two steps back reflexively. His eyes widened. “This—!” His instinct nearly made him leap backward. “Isn’t this a Golden Lion?!” His hands trembled slightly.

If he had encountered this beast in the wild, it was likely he would have become its meal. He was only a One-Star Golden Rank cultivator.

He examined the scars on the Golden Lion’s chest. Destroyed in a single strike. Without any additional marks.

Zhang Wei swallowed. “Young Master Han… did you kill it yourself?”

Han Nian smiled lightly, not answering immediately. Instead, he sat leisurely and asked,

“How much for this Golden Lion?” His tone was flat, as if the creature before them were merely an ordinary jungle fowl.

Zhang Wei took a deep breath, trying to calm himself. Then he gave a bitter smile. “Allow me to introduce myself first, Young Master Han. My name is Zhang Wei.”

He cupped his hands politely. “If you don’t mind… just call me Uncle Zhang.”

His attitude was far more respectful than when he first descended to the first floor. He stepped closer and inspected the Golden Lion’s body carefully.

Zhang Wei remained silent for a long moment before finally exhaling.

“Honestly… the market price for a complete level three Golden Lion body without its core can reach three million gold coins.”

He smiled bitterly.

“But my current funds are insufficient to purchase it at full price.”

He circled the Golden Lion’s body once more, his eyes full of regret and longing.

“If I had enough money, I would buy it no matter what.”

Level three Spirit Beasts were highly sought after. For cultivators from Bronze to Golden Rank, the essence of their flesh and bones greatly helped strengthen foundations, boost vitality, and even break through minor bottlenecks. And if Zhang Wei prepared it into high-energy dishes, the profit could be doubled, or even more.

He stopped in front of Han Nian. “The cash I can provide immediately… is only 2.5 million gold coins.” He cupped his hands sincerely. “If Young Master Han is willing to sell at that price, I would be deeply grateful.”

The room fell silent.

Han Nian already knew its true value.

But he did not wish to attract too much attention by bringing such a large item to an auction house.

Selling quickly and building relationships was more advantageous. He nodded lightly. “Very well. I agree.”

Zhang Wei froze for a fraction of a second. Then his face brightened. “Thank you! Thank you so much, Young Master Han!” He cupped his fists several times sincerely.

Quickly, he retrieved a crystal storage card for the money and executed the transaction.

Before long, 2.5 million gold coins had transferred to Han Nian’s card.

A huge sum for a young man.

Zhang Wei patted his chest.

“From today on, if Young Master Han needs assistance in Fragrant Pandan City, just say the word. As long as I am able, I will help.”

His tone was serious.

He knew that building a good relationship with a youth like this was far more valuable than five hundred thousand gold coins.

Han Nian smiled faintly. “I only need a bit of information. I’ve just arrived in Fragrant Pandan City.”

Zhang Wei immediately sat back down. “Please, ask away.”

Han Nian regarded him calmly. “Who are the major powers in this city? And who should not be provoked?”

A simple question. Yet it was one that could determine life or death in an unfamiliar city.

Zhang Wei gave a faint smile. “A very proper question, Young Master Han…”
