Wait, What Am I Seeing?

I was walking home since the bus had already gone. And to top it up, my Metro transport card was already expired, else I would have taken the subway. You can imagine how frustrated I am. After I finished up at the bar, I waited for Priscilla, my colleague to come over and take charge of the bar. She came late and before I left it was already 9:38pm. So I missed the bus and have to walk a long distance to my house.

I decided to pass through shortcuts  to cut out a sizeable distance to make my journey faster. As I weaved through buildings, I saw a cluster of stray cats on seeing me began meowing. I told you cats love me. Two even came to rub their sides against and in between my legs meowing and purring their delight. I smiled in satisfaction, sometimes I felt as if they were worshipping me, weird thought.

I heard a thump not too far away from the place I was standing. You know the wise decision for a sensible woman alone in a dark alley, would be walk as fast as she can and don't look back. But for some reason I don't understand, I walked towards the direction of the sound.

Walking there, I heard another thump and a groan that wheezed out of someone breathing very fast. I walked faster, something was clawing at me to get there as quick as I can. Like something I needed to see was happening. I just hoped that it wasn't an innocent man that was getting mugged by criminals, I did the sign of the cross before turning right.

On reaching my destination, my eyes and ears could not connect what was I was seeing and hearing. I saw snake guy pinned to the wall by a very bright glowing yellow fog like thing. It was so bright that it was a miracle for me to even squint my eyes to see. 

"Tell me, where is she?" It growled at snake guy.

"I don't know, even if I knew I wouldn't tell you."  Snake guy hissed at him.

"Tell me, you terrible creature!". Yellow fog growled again and let out a bright yellow ball of energy and punched it into snake guy. Whoa, where did that come from? Before my very eyes, Snake guy's skin began sizzling and a terrible burning stench. Jeez!! What was going on here? What I am seeing now is defying human logic. I shook my head to confirm that I wasn't hallucinating.

"You say terrible creature," Snake guy groaned and hissed at the same time. A forked tongue came out of his mouth and the skin on his face and throat looked stretched tight, as if at their breaking point. Ew, say what now?? So I was right about Snake guy.

"... came from your ascension, you know my master Apopi is almost like your descendant formed from the remains of you". He mocked yellow fog. Wait what now?? Who is Apopi? That seemed to angered yellow fog. Snake looked smug that he was able to provoke a reaction out of Yellow fog. 

"Since you are of no use to me,I will have to extinguish you from the face of the Earth, just like Yunui." Snake guy's beady eyes widened, I don't know if its because of the threat that Yellow fog issued or the name he said. Yellow Fog smiled coldly at Snake guy's reaction.

"Oh does that name ring a bell?" Yellow Fog cocked his head to the side as Snake guy whimpered in fear.

"Too bad, you won't get to see him in the Underworld." Yellow fog taunted Snake guy. Snake guy's eyes widened further almost falling out of their sockets. He stammered in a whisper. 

 "Yo ... you snuffed out his essence". Then he bellowed out in outrage.

"Yo .. You monster!! now why we are monsters because we came from you." As if sensing his end, he began to fight frantically trying to avoid Yellow Fog's hard grip.

 "You monsters can never be a part of me, never!!!. Say hello to Anubis for me." He growled as he gripped Snake guy's neck with his hand emitting that mind boggling ball of bright yellow energy. I watched as specks of light from within appeared on Snake guy's skin. As if sensing his end, he began to fight frantically trying to avoid Yellow Fog's hard grip. He hissed, whimpered and made all sounds of scary noises. He seemed to erupt from the inside out. At the last minute, he burst into ashes and that terrible burning stench came up again almost making me gag. OMG, that guy just incinerated whatever Snake guy was to ashes. I felt light headed, dizzy and confused over the influx of too much information. And the fact that I didn't understand any of it made it worse. 

At the sound of my gasp, the bright yellow fog  thing turned and looked at me. I gasped even further as I noticed that it had eyes blazing like the sun. If Snake guy's incineration incident was enough to make feel faint, then this Yellow Fog's stare was enough to make me have a heart attack.

Yellow Fog eyes narrowed as he gazed at me, it looked more like a hard glare because of his blazing eyes.My heart thudded against my chest. I couldn't do anything, couldn't run, just stuck watching the predator. As I managed to came to my senses, I took a step to turn when he stretched out his hand and levitated  me into the air and stretched me out. God please I don't want to die, I chanted in my head. I will do whatever you want, I will repent and turn a new leaf.  I will be even become a nun and swear off sex forever. Please don't let me die like this by being roasted like chicken barbecue. He snapped his fingers and I fell into darkness.
