That is a terrible way to write a book not to mention all the money they’ve gotten by dragging this book out.
There are multiple writers/ authors of this story. They take turns adding bits and pieces and they are writing more than one book at a time. This is why it keeps dragging out and also why there are so many overlapping parts and conflicting storylines. I won’t read any others by this group after this
I’m still trying to figure out how Nicholas could be like “HOW COULD YOU HIDE MY DAUGHTER” (re: Elva in the beginning) but they never had sex until recently. I think Jane pulled a switcheroo and Elva is Nicholas and Jane’s. Or - he’s just dumb and doesn’t know how babies are made.
