"Ohh, him? He is dead. Now get out of my house."

"..."

The woman wanted to see if Caesar was joking. But when she looked at him, he looked neither serious nor funny.

So was he joking or was he serious?

She wanted to ask him but when she looked into his sharp eyes, she somehow couldn't utter a sound from her throat.

But would her fear matter at this moment? Compared to her husband's life, her fear was nothing.

Hence she gathered all the strength she could before she asked him, "Umm, Caesar, you are joking, right?"

Caesar raised an eyebrow lazily with a hint of amusement, "Joke? Are you my friend? Or my lover?"

'Why would I joke with a nobody like you?' Though he did not speak the last sentence, the woman could practically hear those words loud and clear.

"Y… Yo… You… You are.. Saying th.. that.. He is r.. Rea.. really d.. de.. de… dea.." Somehow she couldn't muster up her courage to finish her last word.

The man who was alive and kicking in front of her just a couple of hours ago is now no longer in this world?

How should she believe it?

How could she believe it?

'No.. no.. Why am I believing in this crazy man's words?' The woman shook her head before she asked him, "What do you mean? What exactly happened?"

Even if something really happened she should know what happened. She should find her husband first and then ask him herself to get to know the answers to hundreds of questions jumbled up in her mind at this moment.

"What happened? He was rude and I killed him. If you got answers to all your questions, now get out of my house," Caesar once again ordered her to leave as he doesn't want to waste his precious time with her instead of looking at his cute and adorable babies.

But how would she leave just like that just because he said so? She would be really crazy if she calmly left following his orders.

Caesar wanted to close the door on her face so as not to be disturbed by her any longer.

Just when the door was about to be closed, the woman used her foot to stop it from closing, "Wait!!!" She shouted while pushing the door open using all her strength.

Caesar got irritated by her actions and asked with annoyance, "What more do you want?"

His voice clearly showed that he was now getting angry but the woman was not in a position to care about his feelings.

She looked at him and ordered, "Show my husband to me. Now!!"

Caesar raised an eyebrow when he was suddenly ordered by a woman with whom he had never shared a proper conversation in his life.

Yet he was too lazy to care about her and gestured for her to follow him.

He turned around and walked inside without closing the door like he had previously wanted to. The woman closely followed behind him so that she wouldn't 'get lost' in this unknown house.

It was her first ever visit to Caesar's house after all.

As she walked inside, she felt the air in the house too gloomy. It was like this place is made for people to become sad.

She wondered how this man lived in such a gloomy house for so many years.

'Was this house always been like this?' She thought to herself but she had no answers. She did not dare to ask the man in front of her about her doubts either.

She curiously turned her head in all the directions to observe the house.

The entire house was made of wood like many other houses in their town. In fact, this wood looked more precious than any other wood used by other people- including her house.

But when she looked closely, she felt the precious wood had lost its luster. Instead it looked damp and gloomy.

It looked as if it wanted to enclose whoever was inside the house in its grasp for life.

It looked like a huge trap. A trap from which one could never leave once entered.

The woman started getting scared when she had such thoughts.

She wanted to turn back and run. She wanted to escape this scary place to save her life.

But once she thought of her husband, whose life or death was still unknown, she couldn't bring herself to turn back.

But the woman was too scared when she looked at the roof. The roof was made of the same wood as any other wall in the house.

But why does that roof look like it was moving?

Why does it look like it was coming closer to her?

Why does it look like she was about to be eaten by a house?
