Suffering of his subjects?

Caesar couldn't help sigh and shake his head helplessly.

After thinking for a few seconds, Caesar decided to not follow behind the kid anymore.

Because he had already understood the path that the kid would take in his little 'journey'.

After all, Caesar was born and raised in this very town and he knows every nook and corner of the town since these were the very streets where he had played plenty since his childhood.

He could easily understand which turn would lead to which place and which path would lead to which destination here.

In a way, he is really suitable to rule this town with all the knowledge he had about the place.

Just one look at the direction Mokero left and Caesar had understood where he would go next.

Instead of running around searching for the way the kid left, if he had already calmly thought and processed everything using his mind, he would have long understood what was happening.

It was just that he was worried about the kid and thus he did not think about anything and continued running around for him recklessly.

Now that he took a little rest and calmed himself down, his mind started working again and he understood everything.

He really wanted to facepalm for not thinking clearly for all this while and wasting all his stamina and energy in search of this naughty kid.

Now that he got a clarity of everything, he found a tree at the side of the street and plopped himself down under its shade to take some rest.

He knew that no matter where the kid went, after a few minutes he would definitely pass through this spot once again.

Therefore, instead of running around aimlessly like before, it is better for him to rest here for a while and wait for the kid's arrival before capturing him and taking him back home.

In the few minutes that Caesar took a rest under the shade of the big tree, he was surrounded by a large number of people.

They were standing there waiting for any orders from their King or if there were any announcements he would like to make to his subjects.

Caesar did not care about their stares or their uncomfortable gazes. He calmly closed his eyes and took a nap in the spot without a care for the world.

The people around him did not know if they should stay in their places or if they should leave.

After all, even though their King had not asked them to gather around, leaving without his orders would be deemed as disrespect towards their Lord.

They do not dare to show any form of disrespect towards their Lord.

Hence despite not knowing what to do, they continued standing in their spots while feeling like they were standing over pins and needles.

Adding the fact that it was now almost mid noon and the sun was glaring down on them made them feel hot all over. They felt like they were placed in a hot oven and yet they did not dare to take a step aside.

Caesar was happily napping under a shade and had no clue about the sufferings of his 'subjects'.

Well, he would have done nothing even if he knew of their sufferings. He had always hated everyone here. He was not a saint to make his 'enemies' have a happy and carefree life when he had a chance to make them suffer.

The people wanted to take out their umbrellas to hide themselves under the glaring sun but they couldn't do that too since it was also supposed to be an act of disrespect towards their King.

They wanted to do many such things but sadly all their options were in the end deemed as an act of disrespect and in the end they had no other choice but to act their reality and stand in their spots in the hot weather in the middle of the street.

After waiting there for a long time, they heard a commotion coming from the other end of the street.

All their eyes turned around to look in the direction to find that a few police officers were coming their way.

They were walking while shouting to clear the way, "Move away. Move away. What are you all doing standing here making a crowd while blocking the way? Can't you all see that you are making it impossible for the vehicles to pass through? Move away. Make way."

They entered the crowd while pushing through them and finally reached the huge tree they were surrounding, "What are you all surrounding a tree for? Leave this place immediately. What even happened here?"

After scolding everyone for a while, they finally looked at the tree and the man that was happily resting under its shade without any care for the world.
