At 1 P.M., Callum arrived on the first floor of Triton Center.

Many expensive cars were in the parking lot outside. The people there were also dressed professionally. In contrast, Callum looked like a beggar, so he did not fit in at all.

“Sorry, we do not allow begging here!”

Callum had just walked into Triton Center when the beautiful receptionist in black business attire shouted at him. She also gave him a disgusted look.

“I’m not here to beg,” Callum replied.

“We also don’t accept agricultural products!” The receptionist yelled.

“I’m here to see someone!”

“Who? Do you think there’s anyone here who would see you?” The receptionist pouted as she continued to shout.

Callum did not bother to find out her name; he simply wanted to focus on figuring out what exactly was going on with the money. He ignored her as he walked to the elevators.

The receptionist panicked and ran out to block him. “Hey, what’s wrong with you? I already said you should leave! Stay right there! I’ll get the guards to throw you out—”

Ding!

The elevator doors suddenly opened. Seeing the receptionist approach him, Callum walked into the elevator.

“Ah!” A weak yelp came from inside the elevator.

Callum was in a hurry to get in, so he failed to notice the people trying to get out.

“Are you blind? Didn’t you notice there are people here?” the person screeched.

Callum raised his head to look at the woman in front of him, and then he froze.

The woman had red wavy hair, and she wore an extremely short, tight skirt. She was tall and curvy. Her pretty legs were in black stockings and high heels. Her chest seemed to push her shirt to its limit, and on her pretty face was an angry expression. Even so, she looked quite attractive. Also, the woman was holding a cup of coffee in her hand, so after bumping into Callum, the coffee had spilled all over her chest.

“What is wrong with you? Where are the security guards? How could they permit people like you to walk in just like that?!” After the woman had a clear look at Callum, she screamed.

“Sorry, I was in a hurry, so I didn’t see you…” As Callum spoke, his hand grabbed some tissues placed near the elevator and tried to wipe away the coffee that spilled onto the woman.

However, when Callum placed his hand on the stain, which of course, was on the woman’s chest, everyone was startled.

“Help! A pervert!” Again, the woman screamed.

Instantly, a number of guards immediately dashed toward Callum.

“I’m so sorry, I… I didn’t mean it!” Callum had no time to think as he pushed the woman away and ran into the elevator, then pressed the button for the twenty-seventh floor.

When the guards reached the door, Callum was already on the way up.

“What’s going on, Miss Blanchard?” The guard captain was confused as he asked the woman.

“A beggar came out of nowhere and suddenly assaulted me! Hurry up and arrest him! I want him sent to the police! What are you standing here for? Get him!” The woman’s eyes were watery while her screams were high-pitched.

“But…” The captain seemed a little troubled.

“But what?” The woman frowned, still shouting.

The captain looked at the elevator and said in a helpless tone, “That kid ran to the twenty-seventh floor, where President Reed is. President Reed said that unless a person has his permission, no one is allowed to go there…”

The woman was silent. Then she gritted her teeth as she said, “Just wait here and block all the exits in this building. That bastard will surely come down before the day ends!”

After entering the elevator, Callum looked at his right hand, sighing. His right hand had touched something quite nice, but more importantly, he knew he had gotten himself into big trouble. However, he was not in the mood to think of such things. He just wanted to know what was going on with the money!

After a short while, the elevator stopped on the twenty-seventh floor.

Callum strolled out of the elevator and saw the entire floor only consisted of one, luxurious office. It was in the perfect position to view the entirety of Solbury City. The scenery was amazing.

A middle-aged man wearing a black suit saw Callum enter. He quickly rose to his feet and walked toward the young man. He said to Callum in a respectful tone, “Mr. Bowman, you’re here!”

“So you’re the one who called me?” Callum grimaced as he asked.

“That’s correct, Mr. Bowman. Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Salem Gibbs, and I am the general manager of the Triton Group!” Salem smiled as he spoke.

“Oh!” Callum nodded slightly, then looked around the office. “Then what’s that bit you talked about over the phone? An inheritance or something?”

“Mr. Bowman, do you remember an old man with the last name Reed? You saved him ten years ago,” Salem said softly.

“Reed? An old man?”

Callum was stunned, and then he remembered he actually did save an old man when he was younger. However, since it happened a long time ago, he forgot the old man’s name.

“Mr. Bowman, listen to me. That old man, Mr. Sebastian Reed, was actually the president of the Triton Group. He had passed away three days ago, bless his soul, and he left behind a will. He didn’t have any children, so he had entrusted all his properties to you,” Salem said slowly.
