Jason’s eyes narrowed, his face calm but unreadable, the kind of calm that makes enemies nervous. He took a deep breath through his nose, exhaled quietly, then looked each of them in the eye one by one, without flinching.

“When I have your time,” he said, his voice slow and sharp like a knife cutting through cloth, “you’ll know. Because the lesson I give… will be something you’ll never forget.”
