At that moment, Camilla’s hands were already trembling slightly as she held the phone to her ear. Her chest rose and fell quickly, her breath unsteady. The ringing tone barely lasted a few seconds before Soma answered.“Hello?” Soma’s voice came through, gentle and unsuspecting.Camilla didn’t wait. Her voice came sharp, cold, and laced with emotion. “I trusted you, Soma.”There was a pause.“I really did,” Camilla continued, her tone rising, her words sharper now. “Out of everyone, I never thought you’d be the one to do this to me. If this was your plan from the beginning to make sure I never had peace then why in the world did you even introduce Jason to me? Why? Was it a game? Was it funny watching me fall for someone just so you could take him back?”On the other end of the line, Soma’s lips parted, but for a moment no sound came out. She was frozen, her heart beating fast as she tried to comprehend what she had just heard.“Wait… what?” she finally managed to say, her voice soft

At that moment, Carmilla slowly nodded her head, trying to look as calm and confident as possible. “No problem,” she said softly but firmly, her voice carrying just enough weight to reassure the group. “At the end of it all, you should be rest assured that everything is going to work out perfectly fine. You have nothing to worry about.”Her words, though short, were exactly what her friends wanted to hear. A wave of relief spread across their faces, and almost instantly, their earlier tension dissolved into excitement. They began to chatter with renewed energy, their eyes sparkling with anticipation.“I wonder what we’re going to do first when we get there,” one of them said, leaning over the table with a wide grin. “We’re definitely going to stream live! Everyone needs to see this. It’s not every day we get such an opportunity.”“Yes, yes!” another added quickly, clapping her hands together. “We’ll take beautiful pictures lots of them. We’ll show everybody we were really there, livin

At that moment, the man who had spoken earlier leaned forward, his voice rising once more. “So, is that it? Is someone here really telling us that she’s not going to do what we’ve asked her to do? Is that what you’re saying?” His words rang across the table, sharp and accusatory, pressing Soma to the edge.Soma lifted her chin, her face set with determination. Her voice, though calm, carried enough weight to silence the room. “Yes. That is exactly what I am saying. I will not go back on my words. I have made my stand, and nothing you say will change it.”A ripple of tension swept through the hall. The man gave a short, bitter clap of his hands and muttered, “No problem, then. No problem at all.” He lowered himself back into his seat, though the tightness in his jaw betrayed his frustration. All eyes shifted back to Soma. Some were cold and filled with contempt, others curious, waiting to see if she would falter. But Soma stood still, her posture straight, her silence louder than any p

At that moment, the entire hall seemed to burst into a wave of restless whispers, louder than before, spreading like wildfire from one end of the table to the other. Voices overlapped in agreement sharp, irritated, and fed up. “Yes, yes, he’s right!” some muttered harshly. “We cannot allow this anymore.” Others nodded, saying, “How can a newcomer take us for a ride like this? It’s disrespect of the highest order.” Their words rolled together until the noise was thick, heavy with collective frustration. Many of them no longer spoke with caution. Their whispers carried tones of resentment, openly admitting that the association was slowly turning into a laughingstock. What was supposed to be a body of respect and discipline was now being mocked in their minds as a place where rules bent for one individual. The more they agreed, the bolder their voices grew, as if feeding off each other’s anger. At that moment, Mr. Brown, who had been watching the tide of discontent rise, abruptly pushed

At that moment, hearing what Dave had just said, Soma slowly rose to her feet again, her eyes steady but softer than before. There was no need to raise her voice her gratitude was clear in the way she carried herself. “Mr. Dave,” she began, her tone calm yet warm, “I am very, very grateful. I’m happy with the way you’ve handled this whole situation. The way you calmed everything, the way you stood your ground it went extremely well. And I truly mean it when I say, I am happy about it.”There was a pause, and her words seemed to ease some of the tension that had been lingering in the room. A few of the stern faces that had been frowning earlier now softened just slightly, though not all.Mr. Dave gave a small, approving nod. He didn’t smile, but his eyes reflected a quiet satisfaction. “No problem,” he replied evenly. “That is the best thing to do. The right thing to do. And I’m not shying away from it. When a matter needs to be handled, it should be handled directly, and I’ll always s

She looked down briefly, then lifted her gaze again with a small, respectful nod."I'm not trying to be rude to anybody, and I hope it didn’t come across that way. Honestly, I was just surprised. Surprised that this even came up… especially here, of all places."There was a slight pause. Some people shifted in their seats, sensing that she was building toward something else."But still," she continued gently, "thank you for considering me. For putting me first. For thinking of ways to support me… I don’t take that for granted. I really don’t."She looked around again, this time with a more firm expression."But I need to say this too," she said, her voice tightening with quiet resolve, "what I want to do this thing I’m working on it’s something I’ve decided to do by myself. Just me. No committees, no extra hands, no discussions."Her tone wasn’t proud or defiant it was simply honest."I know you all mean well. And I appreciate the care, I really do. But I don’t need to explain my plan
