The nurse immediately brought out the stethoscope, examining Daniel before reassuring the old man, “Don't worry, he'll be alright.” She left.

“Dan, ho..how are you doing now?” The old man asked, his voice breaking as he stretched his hand forward, touching Daniel emotionally.

Daniel's eyes blinked, his blurry eyes staring around the room before settling on the old man whose face seemed a bit familiar to him but he couldn't recall his face properly.

The man was looking extremely wealthy. His outfits and look alone said everything about him.

“W—who are you? And where is this place?” Daniel's weak voice came out, trying to get it strong.

The man sat beside the bed, his face laced with sorrow. He tried to touch Daniel again, but he dodged. Sighing frustratedly, he replied, “You're in the hospital, son. And I'm your father, just get well soon.”

Father? Daniel's heart was swollen in anger. What will his father be doing here after abandoning him for years? And another thing surprised him; But why does he look extremely wealthy?

“What are you doing here? What do you want from me?” Daniel weakly sat up on the bed in pain, glaring at the man with disgust.

“Please, you still haven't recovered fully. Please, lay back on the bed.” Hovsep said in a caring manner. His face is a display of worry.

“Haha. Why are you suddenly acting like you care about me? Huh, Mr. Hovsep Wilson? Both of us know you don't care about trash like me, so why the pretense?”

“Oh, come on, son. I'm your father; you don't have to address me by my name. Besides, you said I never cared about you? I do, son. I care so much about you that you can't even tell nor imagine.” Tears began to drop from his eyes.

“That's why I'm here to take you home. To make you the heir of my multi-billion assets. I'm sorry for all the pains I made you pass through but I'm here to right my wrongs. I know I have hurt you in so many ways.”

For a moment, Daniel could feel the genuineness of his father's words, his regret, and his readiness to truly make an amendment.

“Please, forgive me and…..” His words were interrupted as the door twisted open and a nurse walked in.

He quickly wiped his tears, forcing a smile to his face.

“Oh, Mr. Hovsep, I'm glad to see you strong.” The nurse said to Daniel, happy. “Indeed, your father's love for you is strong.” She began to remove the monitoring equipment that was placed on his chest, finger, and finger while Daniel stared at his father, pondering deeply in thought.

“Sir, he's now ok but please, make sure you give him the necessary medication that had been prescribed to you earlier.” Hovsep nodded and she walked away.

Immediately she left, Hovsep said to Daniel, “Son, please, let's go home.” He held his hand sending emotions down to his spine.

Daniel hesitated but followed him.

Getting outside, Daniel's eyes widened, and his jaw dropped to the ground as he met with a sight that baffled him.

“Young Master, you're welcome back.”

“Young Master, you're welcome back.”

Men in red suits with physique bodies bowed their heads to the ground, greeting Daniel with absolute respect.

One of them hurriedly opened the door of a Bentley Bentayga with a bow, “Young Master, please, enter.”

There was confusion written all over Daniel's face as he silently watched the men treating him like a king.

The door of the car that he was opening for him was a car worth $100,000. Also, out of the ten cars that were lined up there, none were worth below $80,000!

“Dad, who are they? And why are they calling me Young Master?” He looked at his father, asking. “And who owns these cars?”

Hovsep smiled, aware of the billions of questions he needed to answer but cutting everything short at that moment, he replied, “The men are my personal bodyguards, and as for the cars, they are all mine.” His heart was swollen with pride.

Daniel's eyes widened the more, he swallowed hard, still in doubt, “How? You mean you own all of these? How?” He asked, his ears itching as he waited for a response.

Hovsep cleared his throat, making his words sound clear, “Yes, son. I'm the owner of it all and soon, they all will be yours. Just follow me; let's go home so you can take your bath and have your breakfast, and after that, I'll tell you everything you need to know.”

Daniel stood at a spot still shocked. Has his father become so rich that he could afford expensive things like these? Why, then, has he been suffering?

Tears began to drop from his eyes as memories of how he had suffered flashed through his eyes; how he had been a cleaner in the cafeteria, in the hotel just to make ends meet.

Another one of how he had been betrayed by his girlfriend because he was poor, how his best friend, Victor, whom he trusted, also betrayed him, and also how Morris, Camron, and their jock members mistreated him.

They all were painful memories that he wasn't going to feel at ease until he retaliated. And in a hard way!

Seeing tears coming out from his eyes, Hovsep, his father mistook it for annoyance.

“Come on, son, let's go home.” Hovsep snapped him out of his mind. “I know you have been through a lot which I'm aware of. But now is the time for you to enjoy your life.”

Although Daniel hesitated, he nodded with a smile and entered the car but spoke inside of him, “If truly my Dad is this rich, then as many as they are that have mocked and betrayed me, they should just be ready because Daniel Hovsep has returned!

They will all pay dearly for treating me like trash.”

Once everyone was settled inside the cars, the cars took off from the hospital's compound.
