Ruby's body tensed at his touch, her mind still racing with thoughts of revenge. But as she listened to his words, a flicker of doubt began to creep into her heart.

Her manager nodded, a small smile of relief spreading across his face. "I'm glad you see it that way," he replied. "Now, why don't you pour us both a drink, and we can sit down and talk about the company.

As Ruby made her way to the liquor cabinet, Her manager settled onto the sofa, his mind already racing with potential strategies. "Okay," he said, leaning forward in his seat.
