Mark's point of view

Hacking was a talent that has always come in handy since I started growing teeth. I hacked into the gallery surveillance camera and luckily I was able to retrieve the deleted section.

And indeed, the footage of that incident was right there. Why did they delete it?

I watched it for the very first time and I felt nothing but anger watching the man shoot towards my way and Jocelyn went down with me.

I tried to bottle my emotions and watch the second time for analysis and surprisingly, I found out the gunshot was directed towards my direction.

It wasn't a case of robbery like the officers claimed. The man in the passenger seat of the moving car was the one who took the shot.

It was really planned as the car was on motion and didn't delay after the second gunshot and they drove away.

Looking at their aim, it was obvious they were planning to shoot at someone and now I am cut in-between if the gunshot was fot me or Jocelyn.

From the recent news, I Believe it is for me as if Uncle Barnabas could locate me means that others could and that includes my enemy.

So what is this going to be??

I picked my phone and called Sara immediately. “Can you come over?” I asked immediately and I heard her surprised tone of answering the call!

“Yes boss!” she replied and I hung up without hesitation. I watched the video once more to be sure of what I saw and afterwards, I closed the video file and waited for Sara to show up.

It took her thirty minutes to get to my place and she looked a little pale. “How have you been?” I asked as I offered her a cup of water and pointed to a seat for her.

“Fair!” She replied and drank the water. “I called you in for an urgent cause. I will be returning to my hometown after sorting things out with Jocelyn's parents and the police.”

I said and paused for a moment to allow that sink in her before continuing my words.

“I want you to find a buyer for the gallery and preferably with the art works in it. I won't be coming back to it!” I said and she immediately looked up at me with pain visible in her eyes.

“No! Boss you can't do this!” She said and it sounded like I was taking away her jewel. “What should that mean?”

I asked and she looked down pitifully, pinching on her nails.

“I know you are hurting over Miss Jocelyn's death. We all are. She was a bright morning shine to us. She gave us happiness and she was a good soul to us all.

I didn't question your decision when you wanted to close the gallery for a while. I understand that the gallery was you and  Miss Jocelyn's child and it can't just give it up like that.

I am sure she will be sad to know that all she labored for was given away just like that.

You can travel back to wherever you want to go but I can oversee it for you and give you a report whenever but please don't sell this out.

Miss Jocelyn died for that!” She said with tears pouring out of her eyes. “I understand you, Sara, I don't wish to sell it off just like that but it's a gallery.

The artwork in it needs to be renewed and I can't do that anymore! I can't bring myself to use this hand to draw anymore until I get revenge for my woman!”

I replied and she wiped her tears. “I understand sir and I will do my best to keep it running. This is for Miss Jocelyn.

Please let me do something for her as well. She saved my life, let me save her memory for us all! The gallery is her baby, I want to keep it and take good care of it!” she said, and I forced out a smile.

“I agree to this and I trust you know what best to do!” I replied, and stood up. “Boss” she called out slowly and I looked back to look at her.

“Yes!” I replied. “I am not sure we trust those officers. They said it wasn't an intentional attack but I believe it is. The people were certain on who they wanted to kill at the event.

I saw thier cloth and tattoo. They are no thieves at all. They look like an assassin.” She said with a withering courage and I was shocked.

“You saw them?” I asked with a little faith that she could point me the right way. “Yes, I didn't see their face but their outfit was a pure gangster dressing with a red mask and the man at the back had a tattoo of a mouse with a fierce face and no tail, he was smoking at the time of the turn.

I was so shocked at the time that I couldn't do anything but watch the other man fire the shot and before I could regain my senses.

Everything was down already. I'm sorry!” she said. I was so happy to have a little bit of information and I walked up to her and patted her back.

“You did well! Thanks!” I said and she was surprised to hear my words. “i..” she tried to speak but I immediately cut in and smiled.

“It's fine, I never trusted those crazy officers in the first place but thanks. I will work on it!” I said and she nodded.

“Go home and rest!” I said and she walked up to the door before stopping. “When are you leaving?” She asked.

“A week's time!” I replied and she was shocked. “so fast!” She exclaimed.

“Yes, I will reach out to you when I find everything sorted out. Don't reach out to me. Take care of everything. We will settle our records when I come looking for you!”

I replied with a tone that deicts warning. “you sound mysterious about this trip!”she said with a smile.

“It's a revenge trip!” I replied and she immediately had her smile ceased. “For Miss Jocelyn?” She asked lastly and I nodded and watched her leave.

“Definitely for Jocelyn!”

Mark's point of view It wasn't hard to inform the police that I will be out of town for a while but available for calls in case they have any report to make to me.Even though I knew they had buried Jocelyn's case just like that. They weren't even bothered about me.I wish I could punch so sense into them but I guess if they can't do it legally, I can do it illegally, the point is just for the truth to be discovered and justice be served for Jocelyn.I visited Jocelyn's family house and even though there was music on and no much changes in the house, there was no joy.Jocelyn's mum wasn't welcoming but she was not agitated like before. Her father heard me out and wished me luck after I told him I wanted to go bury my dead parents in my hometown. He asked when I would be back but I did tell him about the uncertainty and he approved even though I could read some disappointment in his eyes. They are forever my family but I have to leave to get justice no matter what.Sitting in the plan

My home looks exactly how she had left it and I was afraid a little change of movement will annoy her.She loved it like that and I want to keep it like this for her.I was still immersed in her picture when I suddenly heard my doorbell ring. He caught her in time during her outburst and led her away from me.I watched how much he acted and I wondered if I ever matched up to him In affection and control he had on his woman.I guess I wasn't man enough.“Don't blame yourself!” A voice said, I felt startled as it sounded

Mark's point of view “Mr Mark!” A buzzing voice kept calling my name and I couldn't help but open my eyes. It is a little dark here.I rubbed on my eyes to adjust my view and indeed it's dark in here. “Who is that?” I asked and the voice answered happily.“It's me, Sara!” She responded. I sat up causing all my body to ache. I must have slept in an uncomfortable position for a long while. But where am I??“Let's go, sir” she said and I wondered what she meant by that. “Where am I??” I asked and her mood dampened.“The cell in the station!” She replied.“What? How!!” I asked with a very confused expression and she stretched her hand and helped me out “They said they thought you were harassing the female officer, so they used their teaser on you and you blackout. It was only when they heard from the weakling called the female officer that you were innocent, so they called me to come take you home! I guess they are too ashamed to face you and apologize!” She responded and led me out t
