The dragon commanded sharply. *(Close your eyes and follow the blood.)*
Alex shut his eyes, filtering out his panic until he pinpointed a thin thread of foul mana radiating from the dark edge of the cave. Opening his eyes, he marched straight toward it.
He stopped in front of a solid, seamless stone wall at the deepest end of the cavern. There was nothing visible to the naked eye—just rough rock.
*(He's behind this wall,)* Alex said firmly.
He ran his fingers over the stone, searching for a hidden switch or magic array, but found nothing. Frustrated, he clenched his fist and struck the rock with all his strength.
A hairline crack appeared. Taking a deep breath, Alex channeled a massive burst of mana into his right arm and delivered a devastating punch to the fracture. The stone wall shattered completely, crumbling into a cloud of dust.
Using a burst of wind magic, Alex blew the dust away. As the air cleared, it revealed a hidden chamber made entirely of pristine white marble, engraved with glowing golden runes.
Slumped against the far marble wall sat Osiris, his body covered in severe wounds and dried blood.
Alex rushed over and dropped to his knees beside him. "Master...!"
He gently lifted Osiris's head. The legendary purple eye on his forehead had gone dim and hollow, but his two regular eyes fluttered open weakly.
"Ah... young dragon..." Osiris rasped, his voice barely a whisper.
"I'm here!" Alex said, his voice shaking. "What happened to you?! Who did this?!"
Osiris offered a faint, tired smile. "Forgive me for greeting you like this... It seems my old wounds finally caught up with me. Surviving this long was already a miracle..."
A sudden realization struck Alex like lightning. Throughout his training, he had occasionally caught the faint smell of blood around Osiris. He had never realized that his master was slowly dying from unhealable internal injuries the entire time!
"Don't waste your breath on questions," Osiris whispered, coughing weakly. "My time ends here. But before I go, there are words you must carry with you."
Alex leaned in, his heart heavy. "I'm listening, Master."
"You will become a force capable of reshaping this continent," Osiris said with quiet intensity. "Never doubt your potential. Keep refining your strength... You will stand at the very apex of this world. Perhaps... one day, you will even become a **God**."
Alex's eyes widened in shock, speechlessness washing over him.
Osiris reached out with a trembling, bloodstained hand and gripped Alex's right wrist. "I never gave my only disciple a proper gift... Take this as my final legacy to you."
A tiny, three-eyed magical insect emerged from Osiris's wrist and burrowed directly into Alex's skin. A strange, searing warmth surged through Alex's veins as his body accepted the energy, molding it into a sleek, retractable blade embedded directly into his arm bone.
Alex stared at his arm in disbelief. "Is this... your sword?"
Osiris coughed up blood, nodding faintly. "Its name is **Greed**... It is a living weapon imbued with a portion of my original power. As your strength grows, you can evolve its properties and shape it as you see fit."
The magical energy faded, and the weapon retracted beneath his skin, leaving no trace behind.
"Thank you... for everything, Master," Alex said, his voice thick with genuine grief.
Osiris smiled peacefully. "It was the least I could do... You mastered my martial techniques and swordplay with frightening speed. The rest is up to you now. I wish I could have taught you more, but this is as far as my body goes."
"You taught me more than enough to change my fate," Alex replied softly. "I will never forget what you did for me."
Osiris's body began to glow with a gentle, golden light. "I am glad... My time is up. Take care of yourself, young dragon. A long road lies ahead, and every step you take will shape the future. Move with purpose."
With those final words, Osiris's form shattered into countless golden particles that floated gracefully toward the ceiling before vanishing completely into the air.
Alex stood alone in the marble room, staring at the empty space where his master had sat. "Rest easy, Master," he whispered. "I won't disappoint you."
Suddenly, the cavern began to tremble violently, dust and debris raining down from above.
*(Alex! The cave is collapsing, we have to get out now!)* Tessarion yelled.
Alex bolted toward the exit as the Asura Water in the pool evaporated completely into thin air. He leaped through the tree trunk passage just as the ancient tree collapsed inward, dissolving into dust until no trace of the cavern remained—as if it had never existed at all.
Alex stood in the quiet forest for a long moment, watching the empty ground. Then, adjusting his bag and tightening the sword at his waist, he turned toward the path leading out of the woods.
The training ground was gone. It was time to step out into the wider world... toward the Elf Kingdom.

AlexYears passed and I turned twelve years old. I was reaching the end of my days at the Dragon Castle. Over these past years, the training with my uncle bore fruit, and I managed to create my fourth star. I went to the castle hall. My uncle was waiting for me next to the painted table. He spoke without looking at me, asking why I was late. I loosened my body, replying that yesterday's training had thoroughly exhausted me. Smiling, my uncle asked if I was excited to go home now that my final days at the castle were here. I teased that I had actually gotten used to this place, as there was no one here scheming to get their hands on my inheritance. My uncle burst into laughter, admitting he would really miss me. I looked at him, feeling the same; he had stood by me since I arrived at the castle, loving me like his own child, and I always tried my best for him.He ended the emotional moment, turning back to the painted table and pointing at three towns again, marking my last Blood Moon

Alex PovMorning light broke across the horizons. I stepped out of bed and changed into my training attire. 'Good morning,' Tessarion sent a telepathic message into my mind."Good morning to you as well," I replied. The golden dragon was not resting within my shadow as usual. "Where are you currently?"'Outside in the courtyard.'"How did your massive frame even exit this tiny chamber?" I asked, genuinely baffled.'Rouge taught me how to traverse from shadow to shadow.'"That is an extraordinary ability," I mused.Stepping outside into the crisp morning air, I found the training grounds already buzzing with activity as soldiers conducted their daily drills."Young Master Alex!" A familiar voice called out.I turned to see Master Cain approaching. Hurrying over with a warm smile, I greeted him. "It is wonderful to see you, Master Cain.""I should be saying the very same to you," Cain replied, his eyes assessing me approvingly. "Your name has been on everyone's lips lately."I chuckled

Alex povI pondered the words Instructor Kevin had shared with me. A war was looming on the horizon—a conflict that might just yield an indispensable opportunity."Ed, are you alright?" Gerard approached, snapping me out of my deep contemplation."Yes, I am fine," I replied, offering a reassuring smile."Shall we head out?"I nodded and pulled an officially approved leave permit from my inner pocket, presenting it to him. Gerard stared at the document in sheer disbelief, snatching it from my hands. "How on earth did you manage to get this?" he asked urgently."Consider it one of my many talents," I boasted lightly. My mind rewound to the moment Instructor Kevin handed me the permit. I had told him, *'If war is truly coming, I wish to spend one last evening out with my friends.'* To my surprise, the notoriously strict instructor replied, *'Very well, I shall approve it. Have your fill of enjoyment, for this coming conflict will bear no resemblance to the minor skirmishes you have witne

Reyla sent letters to her young son, Alex, with strict regularity, yet no reply ever arrived. She had often wished to travel to the Dragon Fortress and bring him back, but Aenys exerted every effort to prevent her. Standing by her bedchamber window, she gazed out into the starlit expanse, sipping her warm tea as silvery starlight illuminated her sorrowful expression."This is unfair," she murmured softly. "He is my son, yet I am forbidden from even seeing him. Just like his father, he never responds to the letters sent to him."Aurora's voice echoed in her mind: "Indeed, he is precisely like his father.""I wish to see him as soon as possible," Reyla sighed."If you wish, we could slip away in secret to visit him," Aurora suggested."No," Reyla countered firmly. "Aenys gave strict orders." She paused, her eyes softening. "Yet you know how deeply the Patriarch loves me, don't you?"Memories of her first pregnancy washed over her—times when Aenys remained constantly by her side. Despite

Early in the morning, Alex prepared his belongings with meticulous care. The time for his departure had finally arrived, and an uncontainable thrill coursed through him as he contemplated his next objective. Descending to the grand hall, he found the entire royal family gathered to bid him farewell—with one notable exception. Laena was nowhere to be seen. Although Alex feigned indifference, a small part of him had anticipated her presence.Releasing a quiet breath, Alex stepped forward with a composed smile. Queen Mylia dabbed her tears with a silk handkerchief—a display of emotion that secretly bewildered Alex, though he maintained his stoic expression. Elrond cleared his throat, offering a hushed, overdue gesture: "Thank you for saving my life." Alex merely nodded in acknowledgement without dwelling on the matter.King Zephyr approached him with grave dignity. "You have rendered great service to our realm during your stay. We extend our deepest gratitude.""The honor was entirely mi

Under the full moon's pale illumination, a serene clearing in the elven forest was bathed in soft light. Beneath this ethereal glow, a solitary figure engaged in intense swordsmanship practice. He possessed long golden hair, striking emerald eyes, and a physically developed physique rare for his age—having shed his upper garments due to the exertion. This was Godrey, Laena's sword instructor and the target Alex had been tracking. A array of motion-sensitive barriers encircled the perimeter, ensuring that any movement would instantly alert him to intruders.Pausing to catch his breath, Godrey wiped the perspiration from his forehead. The memory of Alex's closeness with Laena kindled a sudden surge of resentment."How can a lowborn human bastard act so intimate with a noble elven princess?!" Godrey muttered bitterly."Simple," a voice echoed from the shadows. "Because you are merely a low elven insect, whereas I am a dragon rider."Godrey raised his blade immediately, scanning the surro
