Chapter Eight : Sudden Rich Part Two

"Your father was the eldest and only son of the Lim family," said the driver. "He was supposed to take over the family business when he was older, but he fell in love with a woman who was not approved by the family. He married her anyway, and as a result, he was disowned and cut off from the family.Your father pleaded and begged your grandfather to give him a chance. He begged . But your grandfather is a man of his words . He remained unmoved at his sons pleads . The rule of the lim family was simple never fall

In love with a commoner "

"But why didn't he tell me any of this?" asked Nicolas . "Why did he let me think I was just an ordinary kid?"

"Your father was ashamed of what he had done," said the driver.

"Your father knew that if he told you the truth, you might feel obligated to try to claim your birthright. He didn't want you to know your family . He wanted them to suffer from your absence. He wanted them to pay because he still blamed them for your mothers departure . It is known that your mother left your father for a richer man . Your father believed that this could have been avoided if your grandfather hadn’t disowned him . If only he still had access to the Lim’s unlimited wealth things could have been different, maybe your mother could have stayed . Hence he vowed that your grandfather will never experience the love of his grandson . He has to keep all these a secret for him To keep his vow . That's why he never told you the truth."

"But now that he's gone, what am I supposed to do?" asked Nicolas "Do I really have a claim to this fortune? What does it even mean?"

The driver looked at him with a serious expression. "Those are not easy questions to answer," he said.

"The Lim family wealth is more than just money," said the driver. "It's a legacy, passed down from generation to generation. It comes with a responsibility to use that wealth for the good of others. It comes with a duty to make the world a better place."

"So it's not just about having a lot of money?" asked Nicolas .

"No, it's not," said the driver. "It's about using that money for something meaningful."

"I don't know if I'm ready for that kind of responsibility," said Nicolas .

The Lim family wealth was legendary. They owned companies, real estate, and investments all over the world. They were one of the most powerful families in the world, and their influence extended far beyond their home country. They had a hand in everything from finance to technology to media.

Their main holdings were in Asia, where they had vast land holdings and a large number of employees. But they also had businesses in Europe, Africa, and the Americas. They were truly a global empire.

One of the family's most prized possessions was the Lim Tower, a skyscraper in the heart of a major city.

The Lim Tower was a marvel of modern architecture. It rose high into the sky, its glass and steel facade glistening in the sunlight. Inside, the building was filled with works of art and the latest technology. It was a symbol of the Lim family's power and influence.

But it was more than just a symbol. It was a center of commerce, with businesses operating out of the tower. It was a hub of innovation, with research labs and think tanks housed within its walls. It was a beacon of hope, a place where people could come to find opportunity and a better life.

Beneath the shining surface of the Lim Tower was a secret underground world, known only to a select few. This was the true heart of the Lim family's power. In the underground levels, there were data centers, command centers, and security rooms. This was where the family's real business took place, far from the prying eyes of the public.

Here, the family's secrets were kept, their plans for the future were hatched, and their enemies were neutralized. This was the realm of spies and conspiracies, where plots were formed and alliances were made.

Some said that the underground empire was a myth, that it was nothing more than a fantasy. But those who had seen it knew that it was all too real. It was here that the family's true power lay, in its ability to control information and influence events. It was here that they could shape the future, for better or for worse.

But there was a darker side to the underground empire. Some said that it was home to unspeakable horrors, where experiments were conducted on human subjects and where the worst kinds of crimes were committed. But no one could say for sure, for those who entered never came back.

"So, what do you think?" asked the driver. "Are you pleased with what you've seen?"

Nicolas looked at him, unsure of what to say. On the one hand, he was amazed by the power and wealth of the Lim family. On the other hand, he was disturbed by the dark secrets that lay beneath the surface.

"I don't know what to think," he said finally. "This is all very new to me."

The driver nodded. "I understand," he said. "It's a lot to take in.

They arrived at a very big , private airport. The place was heavily guarded, with security cameras and guards at every entrance. As they pulled up to the gate, the guards all bowed their heads in deference to Nicolas .

"This is where we part ways," said the driver. "I wish you all the best."

Nicolas nodded and stepped out of the car. He watched as the driver drove away, and then turned to face the guards at the gate. They escorted him inside, where a private plane was waiting for him. He knew that his life was about to change forever.
