"Mr. Wilson, about that request you made earlier—to compile my wife's medical records—I stayed up last night and got it all done."

Brady Rogers cleared his throat, his tone unusually eager.

"Oh? That fast? Where are the documents? Let me take a look."

Joseph was a bit surprised—he hadn’t expected Rogers to be so efficient.

"Right here."

"Please have a look, Mr. Wilson."

As he spoke, Brady lifted a thick stack of folders from beneath his desk.

"Just leave it on my table. I’ll go through it and let you know."

Joseph glanced at the pile of medical records and CT scans. Even skimming it would take considerable time.

"Much appreciated, Mr. Wilson."

Brady placed the documents in front of Joseph but didn’t make any move to leave.

"Professor Rogers, you don't have to wait here. Go ahead with your work—no need to tire yourself out."

Joseph noticed him standing stiffly in front of his desk and tried to persuade him.

"It’s alright, Mr. Wilson. I’d rather wait. I’m... quite anxious, honestly."

"Howard Kim, I have to hand it to you. Your son’s already in custody, and you don’t even know what he did. You're here making a scene without a clue—no wonder your son turned out the way he did," Blake said icily."This..." Howard rolled his eyes and fell silent, lost for words. For some reason, seeing Blake Morgan here gave him an ominous feeling."Old Mr. Morgan, my boy... he didn’t offend you, did he?"He suddenly had a terrible suspicion."What do you think? Instead of wasting time questioning me, why don’t you go find out the truth inside—or better yet, ask your son yourself."Blake’s voice was frosty.Swallowing hard, Howard Kim walked inside and approached a short, stout police officer handling the case."Officer, what exactly did my son do? He’s always been obedient and well-behaved. How could he possibly have broken the law?""You should take a look for yourself.""Are you sure you know your son as well as you think?""What kind of well-behaved kid spends every night at Trium

"So that’s how it is..." Joseph murmured, feeling a wave of helplessness wash over him.Was he supposed to simply wait? But how long? The uncertainty left him adrift."Kid, there’s no shortcut—but that doesn’t mean there’s no way." "Before you arrived, we’d already brainstormed a few plans—methods that could help restore some of your strength." One of the elders finally spoke up."I knew it. I knew you all wouldn’t let me down," Joseph replied with a wry smile."To be honest, they’re hardly ‘methods.’ They're things you already know—just train. Train with discipline." "You used to be a master of your craft, but when your memories were lost, so too were your body’s muscle memories." "So our suggestion is simple: train hard, and you might awaken your body's instincts." "Not much of a plan, is it? You probably thought of that yourself already." Their words grew awkward as they trailed off.Without breaking the formation laid by Joseph’s master, their options were painfully limit

Looks like you ran straight into our net," the short, round-faced officer muttered as he secured the cuffs.Moments later, the rest of the team arrived."Let me go! Do you know who my father is? My father is Howard Kim!" Raymond shouted."You have no right to arrest me! Let me go!" "My father is Howard Kim! Howard Kim, you hear me?"The officer raised an eyebrow. "What?""I said—Howard Kim! My father is Howard Kim!" Raymond gritted his teeth."Louder.""...""Forget it. I can’t hear a thing. Take him away." "If he starts screaming a

It was around 7 or 8 PM. Across Nova City, lights blazed to life.In Triumphant Metropolis, the city’s nightlife was just beginning to bloom.Inside one of the luxurious private suites, Raymond Kim stood by a floor-to-ceiling window, cigarette in hand, gazing out at the dazzling skyline, his brows drawn tightly together.Behind him stood Griffin Bailey, Jonathan, and Scrappy—all exchanging nervous glances."I told you to dig up some intel from the police. Yet here you are, empty-handed. What good are you to me?" Raymond took a long drag of his cigarette, his voice icy with displeasure."Mr. Kim, we really tried. But there’s just… nothing," Jonathan replied, clearly distressed. "Those guys went in, and it’s like they vanished. No release, no leaks—absolutely nothing. It’s bizarre.""I asked my family to reach out too, but the Nova City police haven’t said a word," Griffin said with a sigh of frustration."I even tapped into my contacts on the street. Still got nothing," Scrappy a

Joseph didn’t give it much thought. He parked and stepped inside.Old Mr. Morgan was sitting on the sofa, casually scrolling through his phone. Meanwhile, Alice was busy in the kitchen.“Sir, you’re here,” Joseph greeted as he entered.“Joseph, you’re back,” the old man replied with a warm smile.“You went to the university today?” Joseph asked as he sat down, pouring a cup of tea for the elder.“Yes, just to check in. Isn’t there progress on your situation? I went to have a word with Geoffrey Harris, to keep him informed.” “Also had a chat about talent acquisition. Nova City brings in quite a few experts from Nova University every year,” the old man said with a chuckle.“I see,” Joseph nodded.“But the main reason was your situation. The police said they’ll be making arrests in the next couple of days. Details are still under wraps—they insisted on confidentiality before the operation.” “No need to worry. The truth will surface soon enough. And when it does, I want to see who had

"Sir, this way, please—right this way to our VIP lounge." He gestured politely, leading Joseph into an elegant private room."Sir, I’ll have someone begin processing your request right away. Would you like the funds in cash, or should we transfer it to your account?" Archie asked with a courteous smile."Deposit it into my bank account," Joseph replied."Then may I please see your ID and bank card? I’ll have it taken care of immediately. If you don’t have an account with our bank, we’ll be happy to open one for you," he added, smiling obsequiously.Joseph had witnessed the entire shift in Archie’s behavior and remained emotionally detached. This manager truly embodied the essence of a sycophant."I already have an account with your bank. That’s precisely why I came here," Joseph replied, placing his ID and bank card on the table."Very good, sir. Please give me a moment—I’ll handle it right away," Archie said, taking the documents and leaving to process the transaction.Moments lat
