Left with no other choice, Joseph finished breakfast on his own. After tidying up a bit, he headed out.

By the time he left, it was already past nine.

According to what Lindsay Anderson had told him the night before, she would be at the old pharmacy—the same place they had visited previously. Joseph still remembered the location, so he drove there directly.

Before ten o'clock, Joseph arrived at the familiar spot. After parking his car, he headed toward the old pharmacy.

Today, the pharmacy was open. Inside, however, there was only an elderly man in a long robe sitting at the counter, busily working an abacus.

The man looked to be around sixty, seemingly in good health and full of energy.

It wasn’t until Joseph approached that the man noticed him.

"Here to buy some medicine, sir?" the old man looked up, adjusting his reading glasses with a smile.

"I'm not here to buy medicine—I'm looking for someone," Joseph re

Due to the pressure exerted on her legs, the silver needles in Kelly’s thighs began to tremble slightly. At that very moment, her body started to rise from the bed. Her once-bent legs slowly straightened.“I…”“I’m standing up. Am I dreaming?”Once she stood fully upright, her eyes were filled with disbelief.Over the years, she had traveled across the country, visiting countless hospitals and renowned specialists, but none had been able to help her. Yet Joseph had managed it in just two weeks—he had helped her stand again.“You’re not dreaming. You really are standing. The results are even better than I anticipated. Clearly, the aftercare has been handled well.”Joseph nodded with certainty.“Darling, you’re standing! This is amazing!”Brady Rogers was so overwhelmed with joy that he nearly burst into tears.“This is wonder

"I’ve got everything packed. Besides Grandpa’s Forged Flame Needle, I brought four sets of custom silver needles," Lindsay Anderson said, patting the medical kit beside her."Perfect," Joseph nodded. "Let’s head out then.""Mm!" Lindsay responded enthusiastically, her gaze soft as she looked at Joseph, as if being able to spend time alone with him was something she had been eagerly awaiting.Of course, Joseph, focused on driving, didn’t notice any of this.About half an hour later, Joseph pulled up at the residential complex where Brady Rogers lived. At that moment, Brady was already waiting at the gate. When he saw Joseph’s car, he waved, and once Joseph parked, Brady came over and opened the door personally."Mr. Wilson, Lindsay, you’re finally here," Brady said cheerfully. "We’ve just made dumplings—you came at the perfect time.""Professor Rogers, I just came from Lindsay’s house—already had a meal there," Joseph said with a chuckle. The three of them chatted as they made their wa

"Mr. Wilson, do you think I'm an improper... indecent woman?" Lindsay Anderson asked quietly, head lowered in embarrassment."Why would you think that?" Joseph replied, puzzled. He couldn't understand why Lindsay would suddenly have such a concern."It’s just... just now, that situation... I wouldn’t act like that in front of any other man. But when I’m around you, Mr. Wilson, I feel so relaxed, like I can let my guard down.""Mr. Wilson, I really didn’t do it on purpose. My mom and I bought a pair of matching outfits, and I was in a hurry this morning—I accidentally wore hers. Her size is larger, so the clothes fit loosely..."Lindsay tried to explain, but the more she spoke, the more muddled it became. Her face turned an even deeper shade of red from nervousness and embarrassment."What are you trying to say?" Joseph still hadn’t quite caught on."I mean... I didn’t mean for you to see anything. I didn’t flash you on purpose," Lindsay finally gathered the courage to say it.This tim

"Of course you said it. If you hadn’t, who would have dared to do something like that?" Secretary Reyes replied with a flattering smile."Alright, alright, just go ahead with it. Let’s get back to the real issue," Clifford Collins waved his hand dismissively."Understood," Reyes nodded obediently."Oh, and about the social security and housing fund—since we can't actually register the dog for those, just transfer the equivalent amount, along with its salary, directly into my account," Collins added casually. No one in the room reacted much to their exchange. They had grown used to this kind of thing."Back to the matter of performance. This internship program at Nova University—how exactly are they running it?" Collins frowned, tapping his chin thoughtfully. "If our patient numbers keep dropping, the profits we rake in here at Havencrest Medical Center will take a serious hit.""So, does anyone have any suggestions?""Dean, they’re taking students out for practical training. We can’t

“I don’t want to. If I do that, Joseph will think I’m an indecent woman,” Alice said quickly.“You’re already indecent. You’ve been indecent for a long time. What’s the point of pretending to be reserved now?” Mason Alvarez said bluntly.“I don’t want to argue with you. You’re the one who’s indecent—the most indecent of all.”“Let go of me. I want to sleep now, seriously. I’m tired,” Alice muttered, prying Mason Alvarez’s hand off her. Mason had no choice but to let go.“Fine, fine. Let’s sleep. I’m tired too. I’ll sleep now.”“But if you keep tossing and turning, go sleep with Mr. Wilson instead!” Mason grumbled.“You’re still talking?” Alice rolled her eyes.“I’m going back to my room. I’m done with you two,” Mason suddenly sat up, grabbed her pillow, and headed for the door.“Crazy woman,” Alice muttered as Mason walked out. She got up, turned off the light, and instinctively locked the door behind her.But then she paused, something didn’t feel right. After a moment’s hesitation,
