As Ryder walked through the moonlit streets, his newly purchased cloak flowed gently in the evening breeze; he observed the multitude of posters plastered haphazardly on walls and poles.

He pulled his hood lower, ensuring his face remained hidden. The best decision he could think of was hiding his face at all times since only a few people know his identity. His name is quite famous now, and as long as his face remains hidden, then it should be fine.

A particular poster caught his eye, the paper still fresh, unlike most of the other weather-beaten announcements surrounding it.

They didn't feel like their bodies were being pulled and accelerated; they didn't feel like they were covering any distance either. It was almost like simply walking through a door. For a brief moment, the light blinded them, causing them to squint and shield their eyes for a short while. As they dropped their hands, the view of the Red Easter guild headquarters' gate stood right in front of them. Big was an understatement for the size of the gate. It towered above them with a presence of its own, like it was infused with some sort of energy. They all would have used the gate, but there was no knob or some sort of handle to open it. In fact, if not for the shape, it would have been wrong to call it a gate."Should we push it or anything?" Brok questioned curiously. "We need to figure out a way in.""I wouldn't do so if I were you," Master Sung commented, startling them.Turning behind, Master Sung could be seen. He had also teleported with them."You're here.""I thought you would hav

"Genki dashite! Umaku itta yo!" Leo smiled."Huh?!" Both Brok and Mara exclaimed simultaneously, instinctively taking half a step back."Cheer up, it went fine," Leo quickly translated. "I just decided to test out my newly implanted knowledge.""Are you sure?" Mara questioned nervously, causing Leo to chuckle as he walked down the stairs from the platform."Does it look like I'm kidding?"Taking a heavy gulp, Brok knew it was his turn—without anyone needing to say so.He didn't want to look like a coward in front of Mara... only that he already had."Are you too scared to go?" Mara asked. "I understand the principle of 'ladies first,' you know. I can give it a—""I am not scared!" Brok interrupted sharply. "I will go now!"Saying that, he marched up to the platform."I'm ready!" he declared, staring directly into Yuki's eyes. With a nod of affirmation, Yuki placed her palms on the altar. The usual white light extended to the platform, activating the hidden runes and taking effect on B

Yuki placed her hands on the altar.A few seconds after she did, a glow emitted from it. The glow started from her palms and then extended to the altar. At that moment, several intricate designs of the runes on the platform—previously invisible to their eyes—began to glow."This room is an ancient platform, and the runes are a key part of the affinity amplification process."Yuki continued to channel her affinity through the altar effortlessly. The glow from the runes grew brighter, and Ryder could feel the strange energy emanating from the platform. The platform began to slowly lose its gravity, and Ryder could feel himself rising. White light glowed from his eyes, nose, and mouth as he remained in a state of loss.“It’s working,” Master Sung announced. “The knowledge transfer is about to begin.”As the glow from the runes reached its peak, it remained constant for a moment before it slowly began to die down.As the energy faded, Ryder slowly descended from the air back onto the plat

"It made it seem like I expected some more violence and chaos. But you shouldn't be bothered by those thoughts. You guys are extremely valuable to us, and we wouldn't do anything sketchy.Believe it or not, you are all more valuable to us with all your current knowledge intact than with it altered. We would have shared everything orally, but unfortunately, it won't be possible for everything.Yuki over here also wants to imbue some knowledge of Japanese into you.Remember I told you she could either add or remove knowledge? Well, she can add more complex knowledge than you can imagine by cloning her own knowledge into yours.Yuki is Japanese, and she will be cloning our language into you," Master Sung clarified."Unlike me and the other Red Eastern guild members around, you will rarely ever find someone who can speak English there, so you'll need to learn the language.Teaching you verbally is not even an option. We need to clone the knowledge into you. Now do you understand?"They al

"But I'm all ears," said Ryder."There is nothing much to say actually," Dwang Sung clarified. "All you need is the briefing of the beast affinity of all these exclusive members standing right before me."Pointing at the man in the middle, Dwang Sung started. "He is Koji, one of the elites and most valuable members we have. He has the affinity of teleportation, and he is the only one in the entire east of the Earth, bearing a beast with such kind of affinity.Just like earlier, the portal by which you came here with was created by him without summoning his beast, and if you guess, you are right—he is at the Tian level."It was clear why Master Sung was in no haste. Koji's familiar's affinity was already the means he had arranged to transport them by and not aircraft like they had expected.Moving his finger to the next, Master Sung started. "This is Yuki, also a priceless member of the Red Eastern guild. She has a familiar possessing the affinity of mind alteration. She does not need

They all exited the vehicle and headed into the building.Ming Fan took the lead while Ryder, Brok, Leo and Mara silently followed behind. They went through the gate just after Ming Fan scanned his identity card on the cyber gate. The gate swiftly opened to reveal the most overwhelming view. The buildings inside were arranged in an orderly manner with the tallest building at the middle, while all the other buildings by the sides were in descending order, making a triangular pattern. The tallest building at the middle, standing like a fortress, was Ming Fan's destination. As he entered the building, some unfamiliar faces approached him and whispered something to him.Turning towards them, he gestured for them to go upstairs.Ryder, Mara, Brok and Leo all gathered into the elevator positioned at a corner of the building."You all should go to the peak floor, it's floor thirty," Ming Fan instructed."After you," Ryder smiled politely."No, you don't seem to understand," Ming Fan said. "I
