"That is your first task." Logan points her toward the man that was seated three rows away.

"I don't understand you." She returned the gaze to the man and asked questions.

"Come closer." He  beckons.

"What!"  Joan exclaimed as he whispered into her ears. "How do you expect me to do that, it is enough that I came here ."

She stood up with a heart beating heavily with fury and spilled her drink over his face.

Everyone turned in their direction he looked amused as she stormed away...

He could hear each click of her  heels echo off the wooden floorboards, as her heartbeat

replayed each reverberation against her chest it was the first time anyone had the guts to ask her for something like that.

She felt ridiculed, it had only been days since he arrived here and had been dragged down her but that uncertainty felt the same, but something had shifted.

She turned to see him leave the table as well, wondering to herself if she had overreacted, at long last she stopped right there just for the Chauffeur to get the door.

"Drive!" She ordered as soon as she was in.

"But he is yet to be here." The Chauffeur stated referring to Logan.

"That was an order."

The chauffeur did as told, just as Logan was making his way out.

Logan waves to stop the car but it zooms off, he runs his hands through his air cursing her under his breath.

Joanne could feel an ache in her lower stomach, that had bloomed to fill every available space in her body, she could still feel the anger from everything that had happened for the past minute and felt furious about it…

She could feel it—him—everywhere, and he wasn’t even close. She turned when a phone buzzed and realized that it was Logan's.

While she should have been filled with regret, seeing his phone there filled with a sweet satisfaction as the fact that he was stranded.

She typed something into her phone asking that no one should pick up any calls back at home till she arrived, the message notified it was delivered with Brock's name blinking as she slipped off her heels and sat up on the soft sofa of the limousine.

It took a while but they soon reached home with the moon still shining bright, like fiery rays in a cloudless sky.

Brock walked up to where she was looking worried. "What happened?" He drew. "You caused us quite a scare."

He looked around. "And where is he?"

She stopped in the middle of the sidewalk with a smirk, deep within the nerves still vibrating in her veins and were slowly replaced with a heady rush of her intent that was broadly smeared over her face.

Her gaze lifted to his and he could understand what it was.

"You left him there didn't you ma'am."

"Without his phone."  She muttered.

Brock chuckled as he led the way back inside.

Back at the Club

He looked at his watch, then at the ring shining in his middle finger before shoving it into his pocket.

He hated her, some part of his mind didn't believe she had left him there stranded knowing all this was new to him.

Logan knew he was not going to stand here and make a scene, he had done enough by asking her to kiss the stranger was a bet, but still didn't think it warranted all that had happened.

His heartbeats latched onto the thought, flipping and turning deep in his conscience, at a time when he could feel the entire feeling burning into his skin, he stood back on his chair and walked out.

Stopping before the last step out, he glanced at the road that still had that track of the tires with a gaze dark, shimmering, with an unfathomable depth.

The image of the car driving away filled his mind as he clenched his fist.

"I am going to show her,” He breathed, though he  felt close to bursting at the seams if he

didn’t do anything to stop it.

He nodded once before he took the last stairs staring at the endless road that led home.

His rapid heartbeats counted each of his steps as she started making his way back through where the car had gone.

Twice he tried stopping cars but no one paid attention to him as they all sped by,  cold sweat encased his body, the more he walked the more he was filled with that need to punish Joanne.

Soon, his presence and the light scent of his cologne were consumed by the odor of sweat and the smoke from the moving vehicle.

He had been walk-in for like one hour and still, there was no hope that this could be a lot easier.

Anxiety broke through the thumping mantra of his pulse and he pushed a head, a bright light flashed a head with a signpost STALL in a red painted misspelling.

"Fuck that." The two words were spoken by Logan as he pushed himself into the stall making his way to the counter.

He stared at the man with a gaze that burned like soothing flames.

"Can I use your phone?"

The room’s awkward silence touched his skin. The man cleared his throat. "Why would I give you my phone."

He looked around and could see that the few people around were looking in his direction, he was there all alone by himself.

Frustrated and without anything to do, especially with that Infatuated feeling burning in his soul he stood there for a moment, rubbing his chin.

The man's attention was drawn to the ring in hai finger.

"Sir." He gasped.

An unconscious Logan caught his gaze and looked at the ring.

"You can use mine." The man hands him his phone, fingers trembling.

There was nothing but the sounds of a settling house for company, paddling to a corner of the room he picked up a bottle and gulped.
