Chapter fifty eight

I called Clarissa and she picked up, "he's gone now. You can come home." I said.

"Thank you so much for this Mr Walker. I appreciate it." Clarissa said to me.

"You're welcome, dear. Just hurry up. I will be waiting." I said and ended the call. Clarissa herself had no idea I had recorded our conversation from last night. And by the time she reaches here, she will meet with a surprise of her own.

A few minutes later, Clarissa walked through the gate and met me standing in front of the building.

Clarissa rushed to hug me and she thanked me multiple times. "There is one more thing," I said to Clarissa.

"What is it?" Clarissa asked me.

I took out a box from my back pocket and went down on one knee in front of Clarissa.

Clarissa gasped and covered her mouth with both of her hands when I opened the box to reveal a diamond ring in it.

"Clarissa Charles, will you marry me?" I asked her.
