"Calm down sir!" Mrs. Hemsworth shouted at him. "What is wrong with you?!" she asked him. "Take your seat and keep your mouth shut!" she instructed Mr. Thomas.
"My apologies madam." Mr. Thomas said and sat down as he was told by her.
Mrs. Thomas took a deep breath to calm herself before finally speaking, "First of all, let us understand that the woman, in this case, is already dead. We cannot get information from a dead body can we?" Mrs. Hemsworth questioned.
"Of course not. That is why she cannot testify against him." Mr. Thomas said, interrupting Mrs. Hemsworth.
"I thought I told you to stay quiet." Mrs. Hemsworth said to him, in annoyance.
"Sorry." Mr. Thomas mumbled and turned away.
"And you mentioned that there were two men who came in after she died right?" she asked me.
"Yes," I answered her.
"Will you be able to describe those men to the artist?" Mrs. Hemsworth asked me.
"No..." I said to her. "It was too dark for me to identify their faces. They did not see me either until when I climbed through the window and suddenly heard sirens." I added.
"Wow! I guess we are back at square one," she said a tired expression on her face. The way she said it got me curious.
"Sorry but... What do you mean, back at square one?" I asked her.
"It's the Vandelsons. The world's top one wealthiest family. Ever since Mr. Cooper Vandelson died, other members of his family turned into a rage of dispute." Mrs. Hemsworth replied.
"Well, it's my job to find the culprit behind the death of Mrs. Victoria now." Mrs. Hemsworth said and let out a sigh.
"No one knows the reason things turned that way but some say that the death of Mr. Cooper Vandelson was just a big loss for them as he did not die a natural death but was murdered." Mrs. Hemsworth added.
"Since when were such conversations with people outside the case allowed, Mrs. Hemsworth? Why are you giving him details he probably already knew? He is just trying to appear innocent." Mr. Thomas said.
Mrs. Hemsworth frowned but did not say anything to Mr. Thomas. She got up and took the documents in her hands.
"So we are just going to let this guy off?" Mr. Thomas, still seated there asked Mrs. Hemsworth.
"Why not? Or do you still have anything else to ask him?" Mrs. Hemsworth replied to Mr. Thomas. Mr. Thomas looked annoyed at her response but stood up without a word to her or me.
"What will happen to me now?!" I suddenly asked before they could exit the room.
"That's what we don't know. But I hope you are found guilty." Mr. Thomas replied and walked passed Mrs. Hemsworth and out of the room. I turned and looked at Mrs. Hemsworth, expecting something different for an answer but she said nothing and just left.
That was it. I am finished.
Not long after Mr. Thomas and Mrs. Hemsworth left, a policeman came in. "Get up and follow me," he said to me.
I got up as he said and came out of the room. He closed the room door and led the way. I noticed we were following in a different direction but I just followed without questioning.
We appeared at the entrance of the police station and I was surprised to see that lady I had met in the cemetery last night.
"You..." I said in a whisper, too ashamed of the state she had found me to be in.
The lady's grandfather was standing next to her with a smile on his face. "My daughter told me you were the one who saved my life last night. Thank you. I am very grateful to you." the old man said to me.
"How did you two find me?" I asked them.
The old man nodded at the policemen who then gave us space to talk, "I came here to bail you out young man. But there is a condition attached to it." the old man said to me.
"What condition?" I asked him.
"You have to marry my granddaughter."
I laughed at the old man's words but he maintained a serious face. My laughter quickly vanished and I looked at him with a serious face as well before asking him, " You are serious?"
"Yes. Very serious," he answered me. I turned my head to the lady in question. She didn't seem to have any objection to what her grandfather had just said to me. Had they planned it before coming here?
"What is your answer?" the old man asked me.
I cannot believe this. So, is this a trap or what? "I am sorry sir but you hardly know me. How can you offer your granddaughter to a total stranger?" I asked the old man.
"A stranger who had saved my life in the past. Look, there is hardly anyone left in this world with such a heart as yours. You did all that and did not even ask for money in return. I am grateful and I am offering you my granddaughter." the old man explained.
The lady placed her hand on the old man's hand and nodded at him as they made eye contact in a way that I found strange. She stepped forward and began to speak, "the truth is that there is a contract I need to get hold of." she said to me.
"What does that contract have to do with what your grandfather is asking me to do?" I asked her.
"It has everything to do with it. You see, I have to be married to be qualified for it," she said. "What sort of a dumb contract is that supposed to be?" I questioned, giving her an awkward look. The way they acted made it easy for me to understand that there was something fishy. And this doubt is something I am ready to hold on to. I must not let my guard down.

Clarissa arrived at the given address and stepped out of her car. She examined the appearance of the building with her gaze and went ahead to knock on the front door. The door was opened by the same doctor she was looking for and on recognizing Clarissa himself, the doctor made to shut the door as quickly as possible but Clarissa shoved him back. "So you did the entire thing on purpose?" Clarissa asked the doctor. The doctor parted his lips but no words came out. "Forget it. I have no time for this argument. Where is the result of the DNA test?" Clarissa asked the doctor. "I don't have it with me. I left it in the hospital." the doctor replied. "You son of a... " Clarissa's voice trailed off. "Get into my car right now!" Clarissa ordered. "I need those results right now!" she yelled. "There is no need for me to come with you. Do you want the result? I make a call to get it to you." the doctor replied. "Make it quick," Clarissa said to the doctor, right after she gave him a sh

[The next morning]Clarissa woke up in my bed while I was still asleep. She left my room and went into hers. After taking her bath and getting ready, she dressed up and left the mansion. The only thing that Clarissa had on her mind was the DNA test and she couldn't wait to get it and show it to the twins for them to do the comparison. Clarissa arrived at the hospital and headed straight for the doctor's office. She tried opening the door but it was locked. A nurse was passing by at that moment and Clarissa stopped the nurse to make inquiries. "Good morning ma'am." the nurse greeted. Clarissa ignored the greeting from the nurse and went straight to the point, "where is the doctor that usually stays in this office?" Clarissa asked the nurse. "Today is his day off so he's not going to come here for work until the next day." the nurse answered Clarissa. "Do you know where he lives?" Clarissa asked the nurse. "I am sorry ma'am but this hospital follows strict rules. Such which inclu

"Oh, it makes a whole lot of difference because I do not want that to happen," Clarissa replied to Dean. "Hm. Hand what are you planning to do about it? Stop us? How exactly do you want to start that out?" Dean mocked Clarissa. "I can give you what you long for the most," Clarissa said to Dean."And what is that?" Loki asked Clarissa. "You may not know it but we are getting a good reward from Zane, that is after we succeed in what we were sent to do. Nothing you say could be any better." Loki added. "And I am sure that what Zane offered was not money. It's something else which I am yet to find out." Clarissa replied Loki. "You better keep your nose out of our business Clarissa. You know very well what we are capable of." Dean warned Clarissa. "Uuu, I'm so scared. Someone come and help me." Clarissa said to Dean in a mocking tone of voice. "I didn't come here to discuss what Zane offered the both of you but what I can give you two," Clarissa said. "Just go straight to the point

The same woman that made my life miserable in the past was the same one I fell in love with and I still can't comprehend how it happened. "You don't know how happy you have just made me," I said to Clarissa. "Thank you, Clarissa. And I'm sorry for fooling you the way I did before." I said to Clarissa. Why was I fast falling for her? "Um... Walker? Why aren't you coming in?" I heard Clarissa ask me. Her voice brought me back into reality and made me realize I had gotten lost in thought and had stopped at the door. "Oh! Sorry about that. I kind of zoned out there." I told Clarissa and walked into the mansion. "Hey," I said. "Yes?" Clarissa answered while turning to face me. I thought about it again and again. I caught the fist and kicked the strange person's second hand when I felt it coming at me. The stranger shouted in pain and I dragged him out of the darkness only to find that it was Zane. "What the...! I thought I told you to stay away from me and my wife?! So you do not know what a restriction order is?!" I shouted. "Come out with my wife!" I shouted to the men I knew were still in the darkness. Two men stepped out, holding Clarissa and one of them had her mouth covered. "Run now that you have the chance to do so," I told those two men. The two men looked at Zane and then at each other. After a second or two, they took to their heels. I punched Zane square in the face and he fell to the ground. He sat up with a bleeding nose and blood leaving the corners of his lips. Zane looked at me angrily but he did and said nothing. After Zane was finally gone, Clarissa jumped into my arms. "Thank you so much!" Clarissa said to me as she cried on my chest. I patted her on the back. "Ever
