CHAPTER NINETY-FOUR“Hey! Let go of me now! I am warning you! Let’s take him to the hospital!” Mira pleaded with the middle-aged man standing in front of her.She placed her left ear on Desmond’s heart, to know if he was still breathing.“Please help me, Sir, let’s take him to the hospital!” Mira pleaded again, with tears in her eyes, but she saw that the man was smiling at her, and this made her very surprised. Her countenance changed toward the man.“There would be no need for that Ma’am.” The man said, not eager to let go of his smile.“What? CHAPTER NINETY-TWO“Don’t come close! Stay away!” Jamie said with a loud voice, as he pulled back the gun to himself, and breathed nervously. The men didn’t relent, but they traded with so much caution, approaching with very slow but steady steps, with their heads low, and their eyes high.Jamie peeped at them again, and when he noticed that they didn’t stop, he groaned in anger and frustration.He pointed his gun through the other side of the car, very close to where Mira was standing, while he still held onto her hand, but by a slim chance, he missed his shot.With the gun having only one bullet, Jamie knew that his chances of succeeding in his plans had gotten slimmer. After a few moments, later, an idea came to him, and he proceeded to execute it.“What are you doing? Let me go, Jamie !”“Sh! Be quiet! CHAPTER NINETY-ONE“Out of the way you fools!” Jamie barked, but the six men in black suits were already out of the car and headed toward him with guns pointed at the car by the time he was done talking.He had been forced to match on the breaks, and while he waited to see what was happening, his heart started to beat at a fluctuating pace, making him really nervous.“What the hell is this?” Jamie asked out loud, but there was no one to answer his question, even Mira was as confused as he was as she sobbed about the past horrible incident she had witnessed.As the men continued to approach with steady but slow steps, Jamie realized that they were coming after him, he thought of the best action to take, but nothing came to his mind.“Shit!!” He said out loud, hitting his hand on the steering wheel, and withdrawing it almost at once, as soon as he felt the pain from the impact.“Who the hell are these men?” Jamie asked, but as usual, his questions got no answers.
