Julian Dalton immediately got up as a sigh of relief left him as he praised his daughter with a smile.

“My goodness! Well done, my dear.”

He then gestured for Gerald to sit down.

“Gerald, I'm truly sorry for everything you went through at my birthday party. Let me start by admitting that I could have helped you out that night, to avoid getting bullied by Steven Wes and the rest of your peers, but I didn't. For that, I take full responsibility for the part my complacency played in it. I'm sorry.”

Gerald was glad that Professor Julian was apologizing in the most appropriate way. This had, unexpectedly, dissipated any lingering negative feeling Gerald might have developed for this man.

“Juliet told me everything that happened with Dr. Wallace K Rainier after I left. I can help you. But it can't be today. Let's do it tomorrow.”

Professor Julian calmed his excitement as he nodded in agreement. If it were up to him, he would have taken Gerald to the Antiquarian and Archaeologist institutio

Seeing Gerald's barely hidden reaction towards the food, Manager Hawkins was internally overjoyed. He had been hesitant to surprise the young master, as he didn't want to risk getting him angry.“Sir, I instructed these chefs to cook their signature meals, and together, they made you fourteen different dishes.”Gerald's eyes shifted from the bowls filled with various fruits to main course meals like Ravioli di Erbette, Lobster Bisque, Creamy Garlic Chicken, and Chicken Tagine Makful. There were even desserts like Tiramisu Cheesecake and Lemon Desserts.Gerald paid no attention to the lengthy explanation that these five chefs were giving him about their individual meals, as he began devouring the meals one by one.As Gerald went from one meal to another, he would nod his head without sparing anybody a glance.“Mmmmh! This is good! This one is good too! Oh! I like how this melts easily on my taste buds! Wow! This is so……”Unknowingly, Gerald had turned into a professional food critic.

The “Sir, can you hear me?” from the other end of the call reminded Gerald that he was still on the phone with the female receptionist.“Um, sure. Have the package delivered to my door.”There was no question to be asked in terms of shadiness. The security downstairs would have made sure that this delivery was legit before even calling to ask for his permission. This is one of the many reasons that the Lavish-Paradise Hotel was incredibly expensive. The security operations here were top-notch, and mistakes were rarely made.Gerald walked out of his office when he heard the doorbell. He checked the LCD screen to confirm that it was a delivery man.He had no worries as he received the package. He returned to the living area and began unboxing this package. He was stunned by what he found.“A phone?”Indeed it was a phone. Warm-Glo Futures was known for creating various kinds of devices, from phones, televisions, and cars, to even household appliances. They're also one of the most soug

Manager Hawkins shamefully looked down at himself.“It was the only chance that was given to me. Otherwise, I would have lost my job. My captors made me agree to approach you this way. Whatever happens to me after this is up to you.”Gerald finally spared this man a glance.“So basically, whether your career gets saved or ruined is in my hands?”He couldn't help but chuckle.“Well, would you look at that? It seems the power you welded over me last night is now in my possession. Seeing as you look like a dog, I'm more convinced that it's best I let you go. The entire hotel staff members have seen you in this…..humiliating form. I doubt they would ever respect you again.”Hearing these words, Manager Hawkins began sobbing once again as his forehead touched the ground.“I'll manage, Sir Stark! I promise that I can handle whatever disrespect I encounter with any of the staff members! As long as I'm the manager, no one would dare mock me to my face! Please, don't fire me!”Seconds of sil

Gerald was stunned to find a crowd of hotel staff members huddled in the foyer of the building. The most shocking part of the abnormal situation was that Manager Hawkins Craig was…..dressed in a dog costume. That was not all. His face looked like it had barely survived multiple rounds of slaps and punches as it was swollen and covered in heavy bruises.Manager Hawkins also had a dog collar around his throat, and attached to the collar was a tag that read,[Property of the Penthouse Owner.]Gerald didn't know how to feel about this. This hotel manager had suddenly gone from the annoyingly arrogant man who insulted him last night to a beat-up dog belonging to him.His steps became slow as he approached the crowd. The closer he got to Manager Hawkins, the clearer he could see that his mouth was sealed with a tape that also had words written in it.[This can only be opened by the owner of the penthouse.]Gerald felt a bad shiver run down his spine. He knew for sure that this was his uncl

Vice Chairman Rainier nodded his head repeatedly.“I understand, Master Samuel! I wouldn't dare offend Young Master Gerald!”Gerald was taken aback by the sudden change in title. Damn! Power can really buy you immense respect so fast.Once the call came to an end, the vice chairman rushed around the large desk and fell right to his knees.“Young Master Gerald, I had no idea that you were from the Arnold family! I'm truly sorry for all the trouble you endured! I assure you, it was all a misunderstanding on our part!”Gerald was honestly taken aback by the sudden kneeling, he jumped out of his seat with a stunned gaze. Once again, he was getting a reality check of how deeply feared his family was.“Vice Chairman Rainier, please, get up. I don't need your apology because I was never angry with you. I just came to clarify the issue of the RFS getting in my possession, in hopes that you'll let Professor Julian off the hook.”With Gerald saying this, it was like he was declaring that Profes

Gerald said nothing as he retrieved his own phone and made a call. He then put the picked call on loud-speaker mode before the person on the other line could even speak.“President Gerald, how may I be of service to you?”Gerald went straight to the point.“Manager Steph, do you know who the vice chairman of the Institute of Antiquarian and Archeologist is?”Stephanie Vacker answered over the phone.“Yes, Sir? Dr. Wallace K Rainier.”Gerald nodded his head while keeping his gaze on the vice chairman himself.“Good. He's going to give you a call to confirm the delivery of the RFS. Give him whatever information he requests regarding the matter.”Stephanie Vacker wouldn't disobey her superior.“Understood, Sir.”The call came to an end, and Gerald gestured to the vice chairman.“Alright then, you can call to confirm for yourself now. I had to make the call first to give her permission. Otherwise, she wouldn't have given up such classified information.”Needless to say, the vice chairman

With Gerald gone with the vice chairman of the Antiquarian and Archeologist's institute, Julian Dalton had no choice but to go wait outside in the lounge as well.He would have waited in the meeting room, but the place is currently filled with a thick mist of malice created by the fifteen first-rank members and directed at him. After all, he was the one who brought Gerald here, the same boy who brazenly kicked Professor Colton Lambert, a powerful and influential golden-robed Archeologist in the chest. There was no way he would remain there.Juliet was surprised when she saw her father walking back to her in the secretary lounge.“Dad, you're back! How did it go?”She noticed her father's defeated posture, along with the stunned expression on his face.“Dad, what's wrong?”She then looked around him in confusion.“And where's Gerald?”Professor Julian didn't even know how to start as his daughter led him to sit down next to her.“He's…..um….well, he's….with the vice chairman. There were about fifteen men and women seated around a wide rectangular table, the kind that you find in executive meeting halls, and they were all in golden-made robes. The designs looked cooler than the silver and copper robes. At the head of the table, Gerald found the vice chairman of this institute, Dr. Wallace K Rainier, in a far more exquisite multicolored robe, ascending from copper to silver and then to gold by the top half and collar. It looked like a medieval vampire-like costume, but it was actually well-designed.At this point, Gerald has accepted the fact that everything about this institute gave an ancient vibe. There was something impressive that he couldn't deny though - this room was brimming with power. The secretary led them into the room.“Vice Chairman Rainier, Honorable first-rank Archeologists and Antiquarians, the awaited member on trial, Professor Julian Dalton, is here.”Julian stood before the people in this room, albeit nervous, as he bowed slightly.“Gre

“And….who the fuck are you?”Gerald kept a calm state at the silver-robed Archeologist.“I'm Gerald Stark. The person who gave the RFS to Professor Dalton.”Immediately, there were a couple of gaps from other members, who were spread around the hall. As it turns out, these people were eavesdropping on their conversation the entire time.A brash voice reached them as an old man in silver-colored robes walked over. By the insignia he had on his robe, he was clearly an Antiquarian.“So it's you! You're the one that Master Goliath and Young Master Freddy talked about! You're the reason my family lost the $450 million contract at Aventos Bank!”Gerald realizes that this old man is a member of the Blanks family. He happily nodded in response.“That's me. But let's get something clear, I didn't do anything to make them lose the $450 million. They must have offended the hire-ups of Aventos Bank, and thus, things ended up unfolding the way they did.”Professor Daniel Thyme glanced at the Arche
