The lobby fell silent for a brief moment, then laughter exploded everywhere.

“Hahaha!”

“Did you hear that?”

“This guy has to be delusional. There is no other explanation for his words.”

“I have never seen such a brazen fool before. Who does this guy think he is?”

The guests in the lobby started mocking Trevor without restraint. They felt he had run mad and had no idea what he was saying. Some of them were looking at him like he was a lunatic with some incurable mental illness while others simply shook their heads in pity.

Cameron laughed the loudest out of everyone. He even bent slightly from laughing too hard. He did not know that Amelia’s fiancé was such a lunatic.

He was the heir to the wealthy Vance Group. How could a lowly soldier cause any trouble for him?

“You? A nobody like you thinks I will be in trouble?” Cameron pointed at Trevor like he had just heard the greatest joke in his life.

“This guy is so shameless! I did not know he was such a lunatic,” Lisa folded her arms and scoffed openly.

Amelia did not say a word, but she shook her head in disappointment. At first, she thought Trevor was merely arrogant, but now she was starting to think he was a narcissist who genuinely enjoyed bragging.

The more she looked at him, the more irritated she became.

She could not understand why her grandfather insisted on marrying her to someone like him.

Cameron’s laughter slowly died down, and the smile on his face gradually disappeared, replaced by pure disdain.

“I have tolerated your nonsense long enough,” Cameron sneered. “Even the security guards here earn more in a month than what you could ever make in your entire life.”

He suddenly stretched one leg forward arrogantly, the polished leather of his shoe stopping just inches away from Trevor.

“Kneel. Lick my shoes clean and apologise for your rudeness properly. If I am in a good mood, I might just forgive you,” Cameron smiled cruelly.

The entire lobby slowly fell quiet as they watched the events unfold. They were enjoying the show.

Lisa covered her mouth and laughed lightly. She greatly disliked Trevor and wanted to see him humiliated as much as possible.

Amelia, on the other hand, thought Cameron was going too far.

“Cameron, is that not too much?”

“Too much?” Cameron sneered. “I do not think so. Bastards like him need to be humiliated as much as possible; otherwise, they will never know their place.”

Meanwhile, Trevor remained calm at the new development, but his gaze had turned chilly.

“The consequence of provoking me is not something you can bear. You better get on your knees and lick my boots clean; then I might just forgive you,” Trevor retorted coldly, throwing Cameron’s words right back at him.

“Wow. I have never seen such a braggart before.”

“Something must be really wrong with his head. How is he still pretending at this stage?”

“Is it guts or stupidity?”

The guests in the lobby shook their heads in amusement as they gossiped among themselves.

Cameron’s expression had turned black from rage. He had never been disrespected so much before, and by a lowly soldier no less.

“You are courting death!”

Cameron suddenly launched a vicious kick towards Trevor’s head. He was going to teach him a brutal lesson right there in the lobby.

Everyone let out gasps as his leg inched towards Trevor’s head.

“That kick!” someone shouted excitedly. “He defeated Eric at the annual Taekwondo competition six months ago with that same move!”

“The young man is doomed.” Another guest shook his head in disappointment.

“That is not all. This is a secret, but I heard he became a Taekwondo grandmaster three months ago. He is one of the youngest people to ever become a Taekwondo grandmaster in Cloud City! That braggart is definitely doomed,” a tall man in his early thirties added confidently.

“Hmph! Serves him right!” Lisa sneered as her eyes lit up viciously. She could not wait to see Trevor rolling on the floor in pain.

However, Amelia looked at Trevor worriedly. Would her new fiancé suddenly lose his life here in such a humiliating way?

Before anyone could react properly, Trevor suddenly moved. He took half a step sideways and avoided Cameron’s kick effortlessly. His actions were smooth and flawless, and the next second, a loud sound suddenly echoed in the lobby.

BANG!

Cameron lost his balance instantly. His body slammed heavily against the marble floor before a horrible cracking sound echoed through the lobby.

“AAARGH!” Cameron screamed miserably. His face was twisted in pain as he clutched his knee desperately. His knee was bent and twisted at an unnatural angle, and it was evident that he was in so much pain.

The entire lobby fell into dead silence as everyone stared in shock at the scene before them. The arrogant heir who had been mocking Trevor moments ago was now writhing on the ground like a defeated dog, while Trevor stood there calmly as if nothing had happened.

The tables had turned in an instant, and the guests who had been laughing earlier now looked at Trevor with a mixture of fear and disbelief. Amelia’s eyes widened in complete shock while Lisa stood frozen, unable to process what she had just witnessed.

Trevor looked down at the screaming Cameron with cold eyes and spoke in a calm yet chilling voice.

“I warned you. The consequence of provoking me is not something you can bear.”

The entire lobby froze in complete shock.

The mocking whispers and laughter disappeared completely.

Lisa's eyes widened in shock, and Amelia felt her heart stop for a moment.

“How was that possible?!” Amelia looked at the writhing Cameron with disbelief in her eyes.

She knew Cameron's strength very clearly. He was ridiculously strong, yet Trevor had defeated him with a single move, and it was an effortless defeat no less.

“Who is this man?” Amelia's mind raced. Was he really just a lowly soldier?

The surrounding crowd stared at Trevor in shock and disbelief. They thought their eyes were surely deceiving them.

There was a suffocating silence in the lobby. At that moment, the sound of hurried footsteps suddenly echoed through the lobby.

“What is going on here?!” A tall middle-aged man in a black suit strode in, followed by several burly security guards.

The middle-aged man was Boyd Harrison, the manager of the Nine Dragons Pavilion.

“Manager Boyd, you came at the perfect time.” Cameron reacted instantly, fury and pain twisting his features.

He pointed at Trevor with a shaking, enraged finger. “This man barged in here and started causing trouble! When I confronted him, he attacked me for no reason! Look at my leg!”

“Manager Boyd, throw this bastard out!” Cameron gritted his teeth painfully.

Boyd's face darkened instantly as he glanced at Trevor. The Vance family was quite influential in Cloud City, and Cameron was a frequent guest of the Nine Dragons Pavilion.

Trevor, on the other hand, was just an unknown bumpkin. His plain military attire immediately told him all that he needed to know.

There were no stars or ranks on his attire, which meant he was just a lowly soldier.

There was simply no comparing him to someone like Cameron.

Boyd was instantly furious. How dare a lowly soldier attack a VIP like Cameron Vance? He even grievously injured him!

Boyd immediately made his judgement, and he turned to Trevor coldly.

“You have a lot of nerve causing trouble in the Nine Dragons Pavilion. Since you do not know your place, I will gladly teach you your place.”

Trevor gazed at Boyd calmly, then reached into his coat and pulled out an exquisite black gold card. On the black card was a majestic golden dragon surrounded by faint cloud engravings.

“I dare you to go ahead and do that,” Trevor sneered coldly.

The moment Boyd saw the card clearly, his expression froze completely. The mocking smile on Cameron’s face turned into horror instantly.

After all, the card Trevor was holding was none other than the legendary Heavenly Dragon card, the most powerful card in Cloud City!

Boyd’s legs nearly gave out beneath him as recognition hit him like a thunderbolt. His face turned deathly pale in an instant, and cold sweat broke out across his forehead. He knew exactly what that card represented. Only a handful of people in the entire city — no, in the entire region — possessed such a card. It was a symbol of supreme power and status that even Isaac Rutherford treated with utmost respect.

The legendary Heavenly Dragon Card.

The same card that granted unrestricted access to the ninth floor of the Nine Dragons Pavilion and commanded obedience from almost every major power in Cloud City.

Boyd’s voice trembled as he stared at the card in Trevor’s hand.

“T-This… This is…”
