NESSE’S POV

As much as I tried to get some sleep last night, I couldn’t, and I woke up with yet another headache.

“No, I can’t stay trapped in this house for yet another full day,” I told myself.

One or two cups of coffee should do the job.

I took three, but it didn’t seem like I was going to get any better.

Last night had been troubling and terrible for me. I tried to get some sleep, but it didn’t work out. I couldn’t stop thinking about what I discovered yesterday.

I just couldn’t.

And now, I was being affected by it.

However, staying back another full day wasn’t an option.

If the blogs didn’t know that I didn’t step foot in my company for the whole of yesterday, they would certainly find out if I repeated that today, and I just couldn’t have it.

“I have to be at my company,” I told myself.

After taking the fourth cup, I gave myself a few minutes to rest in the living room by placing my head gently on my soft couch.

I didn’t also want to call the doctor because if I did, he would tr

  • A Warning

NESSE’S POVMy convoy was already waiting for me, so as soon as I stepped out of my house, I entered into the car that was already open for me.“Slow down for a second,” I commanded when we got to the gate.“Yes, ma’am,” my driver responded. And he did as he was instructed.I beckoned on my security and he came to me.“I have fired the chef, and I need her out of this environment completely in three minutes,” I declared.“Will do, Ms. Nesse,” he responded dutifully.“If it is later than three minutes, you are going with her,” I warned him sternly.“Got it, ma’am,” he said. After that, we drove out of my house, but almost immediately, and because I was still thinking about Iron and my encounter with him yesterday, I recalled that before my driver came into the car to drive me out of there, Iron had spoken to him for a few minutes.Actually, from my point of view, it had seemed like a threat or something.Fortunately, he was the one driving the car I was in right now.“About yesterday,”

  • The Attacker

IRON’S POV“Lord Dante!”That was Athena’s voice, filled with urgency, and I got up from where I was sitting instantly. They both left her a while ago, and I hadn’t even begun to think about all we had conversed about when I heard Athena’s voice, and almost immediately, she hurried into my chamber.“What’s wrong?” I asked worriedly.Again, my first thought was that another Titan had been attacked, but the horror in Athena’s eyes was something else.“I think Belle has disappeared,” Athena blurted.“You cannot be serious,” I said.“But I am, Lord Dante,” she responded.Blake walked in almost immediately.“I am sorry, I heard Athena’s voice,” Blake said. “I hadn’t even gotten to my room yet,” he added.“Belle has disappeared,” Athena repeated so that Blake could know.“From this Organization?” Blake asked, wanting to be sure.“When I got into the room, she wasn’t there,” Athena said.“And her things?” I asked.“They are still there, but…” Athena started speaking, but I sucked my teeth in

  • Cold Absence

ATHENA’S POVAfter having a lengthy conversation with Lord Dante and Blake, I decided to return to the room, and of course, Blake insisted on seeing me off. According to him, even though I continued to insist that I couldn’t get attacked, it was better that he ensured that I was safe.“Even if Hades is dead,” Lord Dante had said before we ended the conversation. “We still have to find the other Titans who fled. They belong to this Organization. No Titan should be away from home,” he had added.Blake had pledged his allegiance to join Lord Dante to ensure that the Organization returned to the way it was.I would have done the same, but being that he had given me a new assignment, I knew that I wouldn’t be here all the time. As a matter of fact, I might not be here even on some nights, but nevertheless, that didn’t mean that I wouldn’t render my support when I could.“Lord Dante is hurt,” Blake said as we made our way to my room slowly.“I noticed it as well,” I stated. “When he spoke

  • What It Means

IRON’S POV“What is she?” I asked deeply.“Half-Titan,” Athena confessed.“I trusted you, Athena,” I said sourly. And I recalled that when Belle arrived, something had been off about her, but because of the deep trust I had for Athena, I simply believed that she was truly full human, and I allowed her to have her way.“Why didn’t you tell me when you found out?” I asked her.“I would have, Lord Dante, but she begged me not to, and I was just trying to have pity on her,” Athena answered. She still had her head down.“I am sorry, Lord Dante. Please, forgive me,” she added.“Apparently, there have been way too many lies that I don’t even know where to start dealing with this from,” I stated.“I think Belle knew about you before she even came to this Organization,” Blake said. And I began to think deeply about it.How could she have known?Even when I was still married to Nesse, not many people knew because I had used the marriage as a covering for my exile. If everyone was going to know

  • More Revelations

IRON’S POVI stared at Blake and Athena, not realizing that they knew all this time. Athena’s case was a little understandable, but Blake was still surprising me.“Who else knows about this?” I found myself asking them.Apparently, there were things that I didn’t know was happening in the Organization, and one of them being that I had no idea that the Titans would have preferred having Hades as their war god over me.“Just the two of us,” Athena was quick to answer.“That’s not true,” Blake said.Again, I became more surprised.I was almost feeling the relief of Athena’s response when Blake said what he said.“Who else knows about this?” I asked.“Belle,” Blake answered.“What?” I asked in shock as I got up from my seat in shock. “She knows?” I asked.Blake nodded, and my eyes went to Athena.“You told her?” I asked Athena with a displeasing tone. They had become friends, and when Athena wasn’t working for Nesse, she was around Belle here in the Organization, and that was enough for A
