“Mr. Regal?” The tall bald man in a simple grey suit said to make sure he had the right person.

“Yes…” Brian nodded, taking a deep breath.

“You have been served.”

“Oh…” He raised an eyebrow, looking at the young man standing in front of him.

“By who?” He asked, but it was left for him to find out.

The man handed over a brown envelope to him and walked away in a hurry, having completed his mission.

Brian sighed heavily, then he tore the large envelope open, pulling out the papers inside

THWACK! THWACK! Brian landed two deafening slaps across Xavier’s face, causing his head to spiral.Xavier grunted, holding onto both cheeks while he staggered backward. The shock was intense, surging into silence among everyone while they stared with wide eyes. Xavier’s head was bent to the ground, and it cost him a lot of strength before he could lift his face. “Are you okay. Dad?!” Sarah hurried to him, grabbing him by the waist. “Are you okay?!” She asked with an urgent voice, holding onto her father.Xavier rubbed both hands on his cheeks, then he adjusted his jaw while he listened to be sure his eardrums had not been broken. His guards pulled closer without him asking, ready to fight on his behalf.“What are we going to do to him, Mr. Hopkins?” The first asked, cracking his knuckles while he faced Brian with anger brewing inside him.“I think we should take him to the back and beat him until all the bones in his body break.” The second suggested, burning inside.

  • The Secret

“Brian!” Arya gasped, then she turned to face Xavier. Her lips were shaky, her eyes staring at him widely. She felt the urge to apologize, but she couldn’t find her voice. “Please don’t make this worse than it already is, Brian.” She pleaded, her chest almost suffocating her heart. “Did you just say that to my father?!” Sarah fired on behalf of Xavier, but the middle-aged man was very livid. “You really have a death wish, Brian!” Sarah snorted, looking him in the eyes. Then she turned to Arya, still boiling inside her. “Your husband is in very big trouble, Arya. The only reason why we are going to let him leave this place in one piece is that I am so merciful and would want to give him the last chance because of our friendship. Tell him to apologize right now!” Arya saw the spite and rage in her eyes, but before she could say a word to Brian, he already broke his silence.“This is not going to take more than ten minutes, Babe. Just wait for me in the car, I will join y

  • Wild Donkey

“I am waiting…” Xavier broke the suspenseful silence, his anger still written all over his face. “Go down on your knees and kiss my shoes. I know they are too shiny for a man like you. But for the sake of your wife, I will grant you that privilege.” Brian took a deep breath, then he nodded. The look on his face was stoic, meaning that he was very unpredictable at that moment.Slowly, he moved his eyes down, staring at the shoes Xavier had boasted about. Then he cleared his throat, lifting his eyes back to the man’s face.“I am sure everyone now understands why I called you a donkey, Mr. Hopkins…”There was another round of gasp, rising from one person to another.Arya began to panic, her throat getting dry as she stared at the middle-aged man.But Brian still had some more insults to rain at him, maintaining the wry smile on his face. “Your company made a wrong investment, Mr. Hopkins. You lost over fifty percent of your shares. Now the other stakeholders want to pull ou

He will make you wish you never existed.” Xavier took a deep breath, but his chest was still puffing. He turned to Sarah, giving her a sign to be silent.“Let me handle this, baby.” He whispered, causing her to step aside.Sarah nodded with a sinister smile, already imagining what could become the outcome of her father’s wrath.“That’s the idiot that you were about to award the deal to, Dad. The CEO of SilverLine Tech!” She pointed at Brian, contempt brewing inside her. Xavier scoffed, still glaring at Brian. “What are the odds?!” He grunted, his rage increasing. The next second, Reina and Morgan appro

Terry’s wrist was dislocated, tears gathering around his eyes.“Fuck!” He whimpered, the pain dragging his veins and getting into his brain.“Let me see!” Reina hurried to him, and this time, he let her grab his hands.“This is bad.” Reina was confused, looking from one hand to the other.“I think we should go to the hospital, Terry. Come on…” She dragged him away gently, turning to glare at Arya and Brian. Morgan moved closer to the table, then he grabbed the bronze statue and lifted it. Arya turned to Brian, a flash of tension in her eyes. Her right fingers found themselves caressing the ring while she looked him in the eyes. Suddenly, the smile on Brian’s face vanished, and since she didn’t know what his new countenance meant, her heart skipped another beat.“I am still waiting, Brian.” Terry broke his silence, gesturing almost impatiently.Brian groaned inwardly, his expression plain and unreadable.
