At 7:55 AM, the glass-and-steel skyscraper of Cole Logistics stood tall against the morning sky. Inside the executive boardroom on the top floor, a tense energy filled the air.

Julian Cole sat at the head of the long mahogany table, a subtle smirk playing on his lips. Beside him sat Arthur Vance, looking smug, holding a folder containing the acquisition documents that would swallow up the remaining assets of the Vance Group and cement their newly minted partnership.

"Once this deal clears, Arthur," Julian said, swirling a glass of sparkling water, "we wipe the floor with the local competition. And that trash Caleb? He’s probably shivering in a doorway somewhere right now."

Arthur let out a raspy laugh. "He doesn't exist anymore, Julian. The moment Chloe handed him those divorce papers, he became a ghost."

The doors to the boardroom didn't just open—they slammed back against the wall with a thunderous crack that rattled the heavy glass windows.

Every executive in the room jolted upright.

Standing in the doorway was Caleb.

He didn't look like the broken, rain-soaked delivery driver they had thrown out into the storm twelve hours ago. He wore a flawless, tailor-made charcoal suit that contoured perfectly to his broad shoulders. His dark hair was styled sharp, and his eyes held a icy, penetrating intensity that made the room drop several degrees in temperature.

Behind him stood two stone-faced men in sharp black suits—executive security details provided by First Capital Bank.

Julian slammed his hands on the table, his face twisting in immediate outrage. "What the hell is this?! Caleb? How did security even let a dog like you up to the top floor?!"

Arthur glared, pointing an age-spotted finger. "Get out of here before I have you arrested for trespassing! You're a nobody! You have nothing!"

Caleb walked in slowly, his leather Oxfords tapping with measured, deadly precision against the polished floor. He ignored Arthur completely, fixing his gaze straight on Julian.

"You're right about one thing, Arthur," Caleb said, his voice terrifyingly calm, resonating through the silent room. "Someone in this room has nothing. But it isn't me."

Caleb reached into his inner jacket pocket. Julian flinched, but Caleb simply pulled out a thin, sleek gold tablet and laid it on the center of the mahogany table.

"Check the shareholding registry," Caleb said softly.

Julian’s brow furrowed. He snatched the tablet, his eyes scanning the digital document, expecting a bluff. But as he scrolled, the color drained from his face until he looked like a corpse.

"This... this is fake," Julian stammered, his voice suddenly rising an octave. "This is impossible!"

"What is it, Julian?" Arthur demanded, leaning over, his smug smirk vanishing as he looked at the screen.

The screen displayed the official regulatory filing completed just twenty minutes prior: Primary Shareholder & Owner of Cole Logistics Holdings: Vance Global Enterprises (100% Equity). Managing Director & Sole Owner: Caleb Vance.

[Ding!] [Extreme Shock, Terror & Humiliation Detected from Target: Julian Cole.] [Converting Emotional Breakdown into System Points...] [Received: +5,000 System Points!]

"Fifty minutes ago, I bought out your parent company's entire debt portfolio and converted it into direct equity," Caleb said, leaning forward and resting both hands on the table, looking down at Julian. "I own this building. I own your trucks. I own your contracts. And as of 8:00 AM... you are fired."

"You... where did you get this kind of money?!" Julian shrieked, jumping up from his chair, his hands shaking violently. "You were begging for money for your sister's hospital bills yesterday! You were broke! You're a fake! A fraud!"

Julian lunged forward across the table, driven mad by humiliation and panic, reaching out to grab Caleb by the lapels.

Caleb didn't even blink. With a movement so fast and fluid it barely seemed human, he grabbed Julian’s wrist mid-air, twisting it downward with ruthless efficiency.

CRACK.

A loud snap echoed through the boardroom.

Julian let out a blood-curdling scream of agony, dropping to his knees on the carpet, clutching his broken wrist as tears erupted from his eyes.

"Security!" Arthur screamed, backing away into the corner, his heart hammering wildly against his ribs. "Call the police! He's crazy!"

"The police are already on their way, Arthur," Caleb said coldly, pulling a crisp white handkerchief from his pocket and slowly wiping his hand before dropping it onto Julian's face. "Financiers from the central bank are reviewing the Vance Group's books right now. Fraud, tax evasion, and embezzlement. By noon, every account your family owns will be frozen solid."

[Ding!] [Absolute Despair & Total Ruin Detected from Target: Arthur Vance.] [Received: +4,500 System Points!]

Arthur’s knees gave out. He slid down the wall, gasping for breath, clutching his chest as the reality of absolute financial ruin crashed over him.

Caleb turned his back on both of them, walking back toward the boardroom doors where his security team stood waiting.

"Clean this trash out of my building," Caleb ordered flatly to the security personnel. "And tell the hospital to prepare the private suite for my sister. It's time to pay them a visit."

The deep-space ambient silence inside Aether-Zero’s upper command suite was heavy, thick, and almost physical. Three hundred miles below, the blue marble of Earth rotated serenely within the shimmering, geometric lattice of Project Aether-Shield. But no one in the command room was looking at Earth anymore.Every eye was locked on the central three-dimensional holographic tactical table.Floating in the center of the room, four billion miles away on the frozen outer fringes of the Kuiper Belt, was the newly awakened structure. It was a massive, fifty-kilometer-wide metallic ring, its surface covered in ancient, geometric runic grooves that glowed with a blinding, liquid-gold tachyon energy."Caleb..." Arthur whispered, his voice trembling so violently he had to grip the edge of the holographic console to keep his footing.
