Curious to know more, they all rushed to Lynette and gathered around her again.

“Am I dreaming or something? A maid is actually going to be the Young Master’s plus one? Somebody punch me 'cause this can’t be real” one of the maids, who climbed Lynette’s bed, said.

They all started asking Lynette a bunch of questions like what led to Jeremiah asking her to be his plus one at the welcome ceremony. How did he ask her to be his plus one and how did she feel when he asked her?

A lot of questions flew from the other maids’ mouths except Joyce's, who quietly watched Lynette check if the gown she had brought out of her wardrobe was good enough to wear to the welcome ceremony as Jeremiah’s plus one.

The questions and noise became too much and Joyce smacked her tongue.

“Everyone keep quiet!” Joyce yelled and all the maids froze.

They all looked at her, wondering why she just yelled.

Joyce looked at the dress Lynette was holding.

“Give me that!” She said sternly as she grabbed the gown and pul

To see my reaction to his gift?”The confused maid had so many questions that needed answers, and because she couldn’t go outside and ask Jeremiah for them, she faced the only other person who could provide them for her. The same person who had shown her the wonderful present to begin with. She faced Joyce.“What’s going on here? When did the young master do this?” Lynette asked Joyce while the five other maids surrounded them and checked out what was in the box. They were amazed by how beautiful the dress and jewelry were while also waiting to hear Joyce’s answer to Lynette’s question. “A couple of hours ago, Mister Kingston called me and told me to get you something nice as a r

The dress hugged her figure perfectly. Her stomach was flat, her waist thin, her hips wide and her breasts plump with a youthful allure. To be honest, the not-so-fitting maid's uniform had done her a great disservice by hiding all her wonderful features. The color of the dress matched her fair and clear skin and the emerald jewelry around her neck and ears made her eyes pop. The red lipstick drew the attention of everyone who had eyes to her full lips, and it made her white teeth stand out even more.It wouldn’t be an exaggeration for Jeremiah to say that he hadn’t seen any woman in his entire life that looked half as good as Lynette looked at that moment and if the scale was from one to ten, then she very well broke it.Joyce, who saw the mesmerized look on Jeremiah’s face, smirked.“Didn't I tell you that you wouldn’t be disappointed, young master?” Joyce said proudly, and Jeremiah snapped out of his daze.“Yes you did,” he said to Joyce, and the maid grinned.“Young master,” Lyne

“What’s going on here?” David asked as he stared at the bar captain and his best friend, wondering why they were like that. “Who are you?” The bar captain asked David. “I’m the Umm..” David said, but stopped himself. He looked over his shoulder and stared at the guy wearing a black suit in the distance behind him. That was the person Kingston had ordered to be around him at all times and make sure he didn’t cheat his punishment. As long as that person was there, David was going to be accountable and not have access to everything that came with his birth. “I’m the Umm… I’m his best friend, but that doesn’t matter right now. What matters is what’s going on here. Why are the two of you like this?” David said. The bar Captain glared at Benson and said “This punk is being a hothead, instead of listening to instructions, and he’s making a mess of my workspace.” David, whose plan of becoming the future king depended on his friends’ actions and behavior during the welcome ceremony,

Walking down the corridor of one of the floors were nine maids who were busy conversing about the welcome ceremony.“I really wish I was one of the maids assigned to work at the ceremony. That way I would have gotten to see what the young master looked like as he's being celebrated,” one of the maids said. “I’m sure you know that you would have to work hard if you were one of the assigned maids. You wouldn’t even have the time to stare at him for long, so what’s the point?” Another maid said. “Sorry, but I prefer to rest at night.” A third maid added.“Don’t you girls want to see the him? If I remember correctly, weren’t we all just speculating whether he was more attractive than the king or just as good-looking or worst case scenario, he’s completely average?” said the first maid.“Sure, I want to see the young master in all his handsome glory, but not as much as I want to rest. I’ve been working like a dog all day and all I want now is to climb my bed and take a looooong nap,” ano

Paul looked at Jeremiah from head to toe and groaned in confusion. Was this the same Jeremiah whose wife he had stolen and had an affair with the previous night? It couldn’t be, because if he was the same Jeremiah, who he sent his security guards to throw out of his resort the night before, then why did he look so different and better now?It was a shock and confusing to wrap his head around. If it wasn’t for Jeremiah’s voice and Jeremiah calling his name to show that he too knew him, Paul would have thought that he was mistaking Jeremiah for someone else, but that wasn’t the case. He was right and that was indeed Jeremiah. “I guess today is my lucky day because I’ve been looking for a bastard like you and, by fate or pure coincidence, I finally found you,” Paul grinned from ear to ear.He thought about all the things he was going to do to Jeremiah as payback for what happened in Polaris Bank. Lynette’s eyes fidgeted as she saw Jeremiah suspend a brute like Paul in the air with a single hand. How was it possible for someone his size to be that strong? She also noticed that it didn’t seem like Jeremiah was exerting himself and was actually way stronger than what he was showcasing now.How was that even possible?“Are you okay?” Jeremiah looked at Lynette and asked her.“Huh?” Lynette said after snapping out of her daze.“I said, are you okay? He didn’t hurt you too much, did he?” Jeremiah asked.Lynette checked her arm, which was red from how hard Paul had grabbed her, then she looked at Jeremiah and shook her head.“I’m fine, young master,” she said.Jeremiah, whose senses were heightened and was a very intuitive person, knew that she was lying as her expression was a dead giveaway. There was no way someone as big as Paul didn’t hurt her the way he grabbed her arm and Jeremiah became even more infuriated. He faced Paul and yelled, “How dare you lay your fingers on her, yo

Inside the welcome ceremony. The servers had started serving gourmet dishes to the guests and Brenda’s stomach had started grumbling from a strong hunger. She wasn’t that hungry until she smelled the delicious aroma of the dishes, but now that she had, she wanted to gulp them down.“I really want to eat something,” Brenda said to Kristin, her hand on her stomach. “Yeah, me too. Let’s call one of the servers to bring us something” Kristin said, then she looked for one of the servers whose back was turned to them as he served another guest, and she called out to him.The server turned around and to her surprise it was Desmond. Immediately, her expression dulled as she lost her appetite and didn’t want him to come near them.Unfortunately, Brenda didn’t pick up on that and called him over anyway. “What do you think you’re doing?” Kristin asked her hungry best friend.“What? I thought you wanted to eat just as much as I do” Brenda replied, a confused grimace on her face.“Yes, but not

Did you forget that you have a job to do?” David asked.Desmond gulped because he knew that he had messed up. His only reason for being at the welcome ceremony was to work, so where was he running off to? “I’m just… Umm…” Desmond cleared his throat “I’m just going to step out for a moment, but don’t worry, I’ll be right back.”Just then, David chuckled and Desmond got confused.“Sorry, ‘cause for a second there I thought I misheard you. Did you just say that you were going back to work and that you’re sorry for taking a little break?” David said.Desmond grimaced, understanding that David didn’t misunderstand or mishear him but rather was telling him not to repeat the nonsense he just said and that he should do what he told him or there would be consequences. What should he do? He feared David and didn’t want to incur his wrath, bu

One week later, Jeremiah leaned back against a cherry-red and gold Bugatti Veyron, the glint of the city lights dancing along its sleek curves. His tailored obsidian suit clung perfectly to his frame, his silver tie fluttering slightly in the evening breeze. The engine purred beneath the hood like a beast waiting to be unleashed. He glanced at the time on his wristwatch, a sly smile creeping across his face as the apartment door opened. He looked up.And there she was.Victoria emerged in a stunning midnight-blue dress that shimmered with every step. Her curls bounced as she descended the stairs, and Jeremiah couldn’t help but admire the moment like it was a scene from a movie.“Hurry up, we’re going to be late,” he said, a playful edge in his voice.“I’m coming!” she replied, hurrying her pace before she reached him—and planted a kiss on his lips that made the world pause for a second.“When’s he popping the question again?” she asked, at the same time telling him that maybe he was r

“The Leader?” Jeremiah asked with a grimace, the name tasting like ash on his tongue.“That’s right,” the being declared, his voice echoing like a god’s judgment through the twisted air. “I *am* the Leader—and this is my dimension. Here, I rule as supreme.”Jeremiah’s eyes narrowed. “And that name you called me—Bazar’q Omàrin? Why?”The Leader tilted his head slightly, a cruel smirk tugging at his lips. “Because that is your name. Not this watered-down nonsense—Crimson, Jeremiah—names handed to you by humans who never knew your truth. You were Bazar’q Omàrin, once the high sovereign of the mighty Oxyl Dimension... until it all turned to ash.”Jeremiah’s fists clenched as a dull pain throbbed in his temples. “And how do you know that? How do you know *me*?”The Leader's grin stretched, eyes flickering with malevolence. “Because, you banished me to hell!”With that roar of hatred, he surged forward in a blur, his fist crashing into Jeremiah’s ribs with the force of a meteor. ‘Where is he? The one who started all of this?’ Jeremiah’s thoughts were a storm as he tore through the sky in a vicious, high-speed duel against the nine-winged skeletal wyvern. His golden eyes flicked through the blood-red horizon, desperate to catch even a glimpse of Grey Lucian. Since the chaos began, Grey had vanished—eerily absent. The longer Jeremiah failed to find him, the more unease spread like rot in his gut.But the demonic wyvern wasn’t giving him the luxury of distraction.Every flap of the beast’s bony, mana-wrought wings whipped up cyclones of cursed wind. Each strike came fast, lethal, and relentless. Dodging them required all of Jeremiah’s focus—there was no room for error, no space to think about Grey, or even the cultists scattered across the battlefield, who were clearly summoning something catastrophic. The thick, malevolent mana surging from their positions felt like an omen of ruin. For just one heartbeat, Jeremiah’s mind slipped—and it was one too many. The w

The battlefield plunged into eerie silence. Even the screaming winds beneath the dome seemed to hold their breath.Jeremiah stood at the center of it all, his dragonoid form casting a monumental silhouette against the warped sky. His scales shimmered with hues of black, red, and gold, glowing like molten metal in the dome’s unnatural twilight. Wings unfurled behind him like the banners of a god of war, stretching high and wide, stirring the air with every twitch.Mages, scattered across the estate in strategic lines, froze. The resurrection magic that had reanimated their fallen held no expression, no breath—just cold bodies awaiting orders. All of them stared at him, at the beast who had tanked a god-killing spell and still stood.Jeremiah’s molten eyes locked onto the mages who had conjured the lightning-fire hybrid spell. There was no mercy in his gaze. Only retribution. He leapt forward. The impact of his takeoff split the ground behind him, sending fragments of earth skyward and

The sky darkened unnaturally, casting an eerie twilight over the estate. Jeremiah looked up as the last arc of shadow joined with the rest, sealing them inside a massive black dome. It shimmered with power, humming low like a monstrous heartbeat. The siege had begun. He turned to Lynette. “It’s begun.”“Yes,” she said quietly, eyes locked on the sky. “It has.”Jeremiah glanced down at the box in his hand. Obadiah’s head, expression frozen in death, stared back at him. The man had been a teacher, a guide, a rock of wisdom. And now he was gone. Murdered.“I’m sorry this happened to you, teacher,” Jeremiah murmured, his voice a low promise. “But on your behalf, I’ll make those fuckers pay.”With grim reverence, he set the box down. Then he and Lynette walked toward the convoy, where confusion had begun to blossom into panic.A chorus of murmurs rose as everyone saw the sky had changed. The dome wasn’t just a covering — it was alive. Pulsing. Feeding something.“What the hell is this?” th

[“How? The gate is—“] the driver of the first car asked but went silent to his surprise the gate suddenly opened. [“But how?!”] the driver asked in a panic.Jeremiah had used wordless magic to unlock and open the gate.[“Don’t worry about it and just keep driving”] Steven interjected, stopping the driver beside him from thinking too much into what happened.Because this security detail was provided by the city of Bakers View and not of the Garrick Royal estate, they didn’t know about Jeremiah’s real identity as Lord Crimson or that magic existed. That was why Steven stopped the driver beside him from asking questions and just moved things along. [“Okay, Captain”] the driver reluctantly said and then hit the gas, leading the cars into the estate. All the while, the third car which hadn’t been connected through the channel didn’t know what was really going on. Second after second, the cars got closer to Jeremiah’s house and when they got there everything looked perfectly fine, surpr

Jeremiah weighed his options and came to a final decision on which path to take. “We should go back” he declared. “Go back? As in back to the house?” Reginald asked, an intrigued look on his face.“Yes, back to the house” Jeremiah replied matter-of-factly.“Why?” Reginald inquired.“Though I wish you weren’t here, I honestly feel better with you or should I say Lynette by my side rather than elsewhere where y’all can be attacked by who knows how many enemies, and she, for whatever reason, dies because remember, a single temporary death from hers means you’re gone, forever,” Jeremiah said and Reginald groaned as he reflected on every word.“Alright then. I guess we’re going back” Reginald replied. He then looked at the driver and said “Tell the front car that we’re going back to the apartment”“As you wish, Your Majesty” the driver replied, clearly not on board with the decision because he had picked up on signs of there being a problem and would prefer if they left the city— meanin

It must have skipped my mind”]“Is that so? Alright then. I’ll head back to the house with Dad and everyone else” Jeremiah said.[“That’ll be great, young master. I’ll be waiting for all four of you”] Jeremiah groaned. “Alright then. Bye,” he said and then ended the call. Looking at him, Reginald asked “So we’re going back to your house to speak with the shaman? I wonder what he wants to talk to us about”“Nothing. He doesn’t want to speak to us about anything” Jeremiah said as he stuffed his phone into his pocket while Reginald grimaced.“He doesn’t? How do you know that?” Reginald asked. “I’m sure the young master and his majesty are discussing something important which is why we haven’t moved yet” Kingston reassured. “It’s not about the lack of movement that has me exasperated. I came to this city to spend time with Jeremiah and I haven’t even done that. If we travel back so quickly it would mean that this trip was a complete letdown.” She said. Kingston groaned.“So what do you want to do, Lady Lynette?” Kingston asked “Being the young master’s fiancé, you’re just as influential as he is to those who know the truth. So much so that the artificial intelligence back at the house obeyed your instruction when it wouldn’t have for anyone else besides the young master” Lynette groaned, reflecting on Kingston’s question that asked her what she wanted to do.“Since you’ve already linked yourself and Master Reginald together, you’ve basically protected him from all forms of harm for the next thirty-nine years, so you don’t have to follow us back home if you don’t want to.
