Later that night.

Kevin returned to the O’Brian mansion, but there were cars parked everywhere, so he had to stop the car outside the mansion.

The whole building was lit up with LED decorations.

[You have 12 hours left to finish your first mission.]

He received an alert from the system.

Kevin entered through the front door with a bouquet in his hand.

“Grandma, this Chanel bag customised with your initials is yours,” Dabby gave a gift to Orlando’s mom. “Open it.”

The woman sitting on the big couch was Venessa O’Brian, a 87-year-old woman, who loved receiving gifts.

“Hoho,” Venessa saw the items in the bag. There were high-end spa tickets, custom perfume with a signature scent, travel tickets and more. “You put a lot of thought into this.” She gave Dobby a hug.

“Look at my gift, Grandma,” Rory gave her a card.

Seeing it, her eyes widened. It was the VIP card of a prestigious gourmet club. “How did you get this?”

“You talked about their luxury tea before,” Rory laughed. “So I thought you’d want this card. You don’t have to go to their club, Grandma. Since you’re a VIP member, you can just call them and make an order. They will send a person to prepare tea for you at home.”

“Come here,” Venessa gave him a long hug, which made both the brothers look at each other.

Kevin, who was watching all that, could only sigh and shake his head. “If that old woman did not have any shares in O’Brian Group, I don’t think they would have even given her a chocolate for her birthday.”

Just then, Cecilia entered the scene and gave a small box to her grandma.

Venessa opened it and found a red scarf inside. On it, there was a signature. Seeing it, her eyes wide-opened. “N-Now way, is this… what I think it is? Did you buy it at the auction?”

“You’ve always admired the legendary actress Selena Sterling,” Cecilia said. “I went to her villa and told her about you. She signed the scarf and gave it to me.”

Venessa was in tears from seeing it.

“Grandma,” Kevin made his way over. “I brought you fresh flowers.”

“Hmph,” Naomi and Sadia snorted. “Look around, Kevin. This hall is full of flower decorations, and you bring flowers as a gift? That’s the best you can do? Or do you have no respect for Venessa O’Brian?”

“Kevin…” Venessa uttered coldly. “You gave millions of dollars for your useless father’s debt, but you only gave me a bouquet as a birthday present. This thing won’t even last a day. What’s the point of giving it to me?”

“You’re in your last stages, Grandma. Like that bouquet, you’re not going to last long, either,” Kevin replied, shocking everyone.

Even Cecilia’s eyes widened very much.

“What the hell did you just say?” Rory stepped forward, ready to beat Kevin up.

“It’s not just Grandma. We’re all as flowers,” Kevin pointed at the bouquet. “Grandma represents only one flower in that bouquet, the white flower at the top and center. The rest of the flowers are us. We all fade away, too, at a different time. Our lives are as flowers. Ephemeral. But the bouquet only smells nice when all of us are working together, without having any rotten feelings inside.”

Kevin’s words impressed some of the guests. “There’s such a deep meaning in the bouquet? I never knew.”

“I will give bouquets as gifts from now on, too.”

As people supported Kevin, Rory couldn’t attack him anymore. He felt like he missed a good opportunity.

Nevertheless, he was still coldly glaring at Kevin.

“Take it easy, Brother,” Kevin stepped forward and gently touched Rory’s tummy with his fingers.

It happened so quickly, Rory didn’t even think about it.

Kevin then went over to Cecilia and gave her a drink. They both cheered their glasses and took sips from each other’s cups.

Seeing that, Brielle felt her blood pressure spiking.

Just then, a tall, handsome man entered the hall, with many bodyguards behind him. Many people were very much surprised to see him.

“I-It’s Jack Shamus!”

“What’s that famous billionaire stock trader doing here?”

“I heard that he recently bought an international bank.”

“No wonder I saw his face on Forbes last month.”

Kevin was 180 cm tall, but Jack was 190 cm tall. He was fit and manly, with a powerful mustache and beard. He did not look like someone who would sit behind a computer and spend his time investing and trading most of the time.

Every member of O’Brian family looked at each other, asked one another, and wondered why such a big figure came to Venessa’s birthday party.

Jack gave a flower bouquet to Venessa and also a few boxes of gifts. “Last but not least…” he gave car keys. “Maybach 62 Lundaulet’s keys. Please have them.”

“Lundaulet?” Sadia was shocked. “There were only 99 cars of those made worldwide. The market price of those cars was around 1.4 million, but because they’re not produced anymore, they sell for higher prices.”

“This car will be spacious and comfortable for you to ride in, Mrs. Venessa O’Brian,” Jack said.

“Thank you very much for this precious gift,” Venessa was overjoyed. She told the maids to bring the cake and drinks for Jack. “If you don’t mind me asking, may I know who invited you to the party?”

“Actually, no one invited me. I came here because…” Jack glanced in Cecilia’s direction. “I fell in love at first sight with Cecilia.”

“Pfft,” Cecilia ended up spilling the drink, whereas Kevin coughed and sneezed in shock.

Then you’ll stay in your room for the entire tomorrow and repent your actions.”“That can’t happen,” Kevin was quick to tell them. “I need to work hard every day if I want to win the challenge!”“Hmph, one day won’t change anything,” Sadia snorted. “Why are you acting like you can actually clear the challenge? Where are you going to earn 43 million dollars from? Are you

Not me, but they called my dad,” Dabby blurted. “Do you realize how awkward and uncomfortable he must have felt because he had to talk to the loan sharks?”“We never beg others for money, Kevin,” Rory added with calm pomposity. “You wouldn’t know it because you didn’t grow up here. And in the past three years, you've been busy cleaning toilets.”“Pfft,” Sadia nearly burst into laughter.Even Cecilia looked a bit shocked. But then she also understood why he would take the loan. He had to get the money from somewhere to multiply it and then win the challenge he had made to her mother.“I thought you might actually be up to some

The maids were standing nervously in the background.“I know you learned how to shoot from Dad, but he didn’t teach it to you so you can shoot his son,” Jack said.“His son?” Sariyu frowned. “You’re not his son. You may have the same blood as him, but he always regretted that you were born into this world. You’re nothing but a monster who killed my mom.““I didn’t kill her.”“Cut the bullshit. The flight didn’t magically crash into the sea. You were behind it. You killed not just my mom, but everyone on that flight. Calling you a monster wouldn’t do justice.”“It’s true that I hated your mom because she never considered me

I have no excuses,” Huggard said without even looking back. “Just kill me.”Jack walked over and sat next to Huggard and opened an alcohol bottle made in the 1800s.“Red wine preserved with aura for almost 200 years,” Jack said. “I spent 30 million dollars to buy this one in the ‘swamp’ market.”He drank half of the bottle in one go, and then gasped a little.“This is it,” he grinned. “Normal wine doesn’t even hold a candle to this.”“Is it that good?” Huggard asked.“Yeah,” Jack gave the bottle to him.Huggard took a sip and was quite shocked by it. “I-it’s really strong. Stronger than any drink I tasted.”“Haha, you can drink the rest if you want.”“I can?”“Yes, you can.”“But… I
