Chapter 64

Jason brushed past the annoying guards, making a mental note to handle them later. He stopped at the front desk, angst.

"Where's Mr. Raymond?" He looked over his shoulder, tapping his fingers on the granite slabs. "I was told I would find him here.”

The staff behind the desk gave Jason a once over. She immediately saw that he wasn’t the usual guest Life Haven was used to having.

“Which Raymond, sir? Are you certain that you aren’t in the wrong location?” She began checking the system in front of her, like she wasn’t just trying to delay him.

Impatiently, Jason said, “I’m here to see the General Manager of Maxe. What is his room number?”

“Can I see your ID first? There are a few hospital procedures for visitors.”
