Chapter 6: The Other Woman

The moment they saw her coming, people were stunned. The menacing look in her eyes made the atmosphere tense.

Levi and Lexy also felt confused by the woman's figure as she seemed unfamiliar yet familiar at the same time. Bryce looked at the woman's appearance from bottom to top, and he smiled. Although he did not recognise the woman before him, her character was so strong that it made the security guards helpless.

"Hi, miss..." Bryce returned the woman's greeting as if they were already acquainted.

"I'm Tamara Reed, the person who called you earlier," the woman said gracefully.

Levi and Lexy, who saw the woman's figure, were amazed at her beauty, but at the same time, they were annoyed that another intruder was blocking their plans.

"Oh. I see. Nice to meet you. What's so urgent that you came to see me here? Earlier you said we would meet somewhere. I've already received the location's address, but it looks like you're the one who approached me. I wonder how you could find my location so easily," Bryce said in awe.

"Well, this is an urgent matter. You can assume that I have many eyes and ears out there. I've been watching you for a long time. So it shouldn't be too hard to find you, sir," Tamara responded firmly.

Bryce smiled at that. Now, he was even more curious about where all this was going.

"Hey, you security guys. Why are you standing idly by? I told you to arrest this guy," Lexy said in annoyance that her request was being ignored.

The security guards were conflicted, especially the leader who had hoped to gain face through Lexy. Now, the man was faced with a difficult choice because, on the one hand, there was Tamara, whom he also dared not offend, and the person they wanted to hurt seemed to be an important guest of the woman.

"Yes, what are you waiting for? Immediately break the arms and legs of that useless trash man," Levi said angrily.

Hearing the man's words, Bryce and Tamara immediately threw him a cold glare. It made Levi immediately face a big threat. The man's guts immediately shrank as if he was under real pressure.

When Bryce seemed about to move just a little, Tamara, who saw it, immediately calmed him down by touching the shoulder of the man in front of him.

"Mr Milano, you don't need to get your hands dirty by touching street rubbish," said the woman.

"Hey, don't think just because you're a woman, you can say anything easily. I'm not afraid to put my hands on you," responded Levi, who was getting angry.

Ptooey!

Bryce was surprised to see the next second Tamara throwing spit at Levi with ease.

"You cowardly man. You lay a hand on me, then I'll make sure the security here will break your arms and legs instantly," Tamara said, making Bryce smile.

"Damn it!" Levi shouted and clenched his fists.

"Levi, try to control yourself. I think we're on the losing side right now," the woman whispered as she realise everythin.

Tamara, who saw what was happening before her, replied, "I knew it, a man who only dares to bluff. I don't understand how scum like you can roam free. You dare to rebuke Mr Milano but forget your position. Miss Veronica shouldn't have to embrace or assume you exist in the first place. Don't forget that you, Levi are just a half-brother, the bastard child of this slutty woman."

Lexy, who was now being insulted, also felt offended. "Listen to me. My daughter will be a business queen in this country, and whoever you are, I'll be sure to pay you back for how you treated me."

"Go ahead. You will easily see that all those people who raise their tongues against me will surely fall, too. So you don't need to threaten me because since you kicked a man like Mr Milano out, it has been a sign of your destruction," Tamara responded boldly.

"You!!!" A furious Lexy then stepped forward, trying to attack Tamara.

Bryce instantly shielded her from his mother-in-law.

"Bryce, how dare you. You useless son-in-law!" shouted Lexy, who fell to the ground.

Tamara, surprised by Bryce's action to defend her, felt that what she did was the right thing. Bryce and Tamara were getting fed up with the scene before them.

"Security, I hope you will remove them from this place. Make sure these two people never step foot in this building again," Tamara said firmly.

The security guards standing idly by could not help but act immediately due to Tamara's stronger absolute order.

The head of security even had to mutter 'sorry' to Lexy because he had to kick the woman and her son out of the building.

"You've gone too far, Bryce. I'm going to report this to Veronica," Levi said as he was dragged away by security.

Lexy could only show her sour face to Bryce and Tamara. The woman was still in shock because she didn't think that she would be the one to experience something worse than what was planned.

"I’m sorry ma'am, but you have to leave now."

Both of them were thrown into the car. Then, the car pulled out of the basement car park.

"I apologize for this mess." The security reached out and then excused themselves from Tamara and Bryce's sight.

Now Bryce felt mesmerised by what had just happened. Too many questions filled his mind, and they all needed answers.

"Bryce, I know you have many questions, and I'll answer as best I can. The only thing you need to know right now is that I'm the only person you can trust. I'm going to tell you important information. You are the son of William Graham Milano, and you are the heir to a fortune with assets worth trillions to quadrillions of dollars," Tamara revealed plainly.
