"How true is that?" the man asked in doubt, scrutinizing Michael from head to toe. The dude looked so young and lean. 'How was he able to rescue my daughter with such a slim body?' the man questioned inwardly.

"I'm very sure, Dad," the lady assured.

Then, the man beckoned to the burly men to give him some space. He walked closer to Michael, staring into his eyes. Then he moved on to studying his body language.

The billionaire had once studied criminology in school. It was easy for him to detect a criminal if he found one.

Meanwhile, Michael wasn't afraid, nor was he fazed.

After a while, the man stretched his hand forward for a handshake. "Thank you for saving my daughter."

Michael took a few seconds pause before he locked hands with him and replied, "It wasn't a problem."

After that, the man asked Michael, "The information that reached me indicated that the gangsters are up to four in number. How were you able to handle that?"

With a bland facial expression, he responded, "Life matters a lot. I was able to pull a trick on them, so they ran away."

"Really? That's impressive." The billionaire nodded his head in satisfaction.

"I owe you a favor. What do you want as compensation? Money? Name the amount," the man wanted to express his gratitude.

"Dad, is that necessary? You heard him say he only pulled a trick on them. It was just luck, after all," Cynthia interrupted.

"Don't say that, Cynthia! Have you forgotten he saved you from danger? There's nothing wrong with rewarding him for his bravery. Do you know what might have happened to you if he hadn't interfered?" the man chided.

The billionaire valued returning favors almost instantly. He didn't owe anybody favors in the past.

"Don't be offended by her attitude, young man. Name the price," the man offered again.

Michael waved his hands in the air and said, "I didn't help her in expectation of a reward. I only helped her because lives deserve to be valued."

The billionaire moved backward, gazing at Michael with wonder. It was his first time meeting the young man, and he already found him so amazing.

"Do you mean you don't want the money?" the man asked in surprise.

"I appreciate your kind heart, but I don't need any financial help. I have somewhere important to go, so I will be taking my leave." Michael turned and started to leave.

The billionaire hurriedly stopped him and insisted he take his business card.

"Do not hesitate to call me if you need my help in the future. You can call me anytime; I will be more than willing to help," the man assured.

Without glancing at the card, Michael slipped it into his pocket.

"Let's get going, Dad. You shouldn't be giving a commoner so much chance," Cynthia urged, heading to their Maybach.

Michael shook his head in wonder. He never thought that the lady would take his help for granted. Michael shrugged it off and left.

Shortly thereafter, the billionaire and his daughter left too.

It was already late in the afternoon when Michael arrived at Silvana City Bank. He was walking briskly towards the entrance when an Audi Q5 SUV drove crazily past him into the parking lot.

The car parked, and Austin and Hannah jumped out and rushed to Michael in fury.

"Why are you following me around, Michael? I have broken up with you already; get that reality into your head. Why is it so hard for you to live without me?!" Hannah barked.

Michael glared at her and asked, "Is that how worthy you think you are?"

Hannah's face became ugly and looked bitter. Did Michael mean she was useless?

"Do you call me worthless? A poor thing like you?!" Hannah's rage escalated.

Austin intervened, pointing a warning finger at Michael. "Be cautious about how you talk to my woman! She's not in your league anymore!" Austin nearly exploded with anger.

Michael scoffed and said, "Of course, I'm not in the same league as both of you. Aren't you both a peasant and a blockhead?"

"You called me a blockhead?! I will teach you an unforgettable lesson today!" Austin shouted at the top of his voice, retrieving his phone to make a call.

"Get out of my way; I have something important to do with my time." Michael slightly pushed Austin out of his way, and the dude staggered backward and nearly fell.

Michael had already entered the bank before he could regain his balance. Austin turned to Hannah and threatened, boiling with rage, "I swear, I will kill him today!"

He ran into the bank crazily, and Hannah followed.
