“This has to be joke!!!” one of the board members immediately interrupted Emily, “do you think we are children? How dare you walk in here and at like it was ever possible to make a tunnel that big overnight.”

“What do you mean?” Emily said, “I ask for just one last chance…” she ranted.

“I believe I speak for everyone when I say that we can’t stop this process…” Henderson, the CEO uttered.

"I don't think so! You can't just change the deal when the deal on our part has been done!" Emily yelled at them. She couldn't fathom why they were negative about their progress, shouldn't they be happy about what they have done, she wondered.

"As much as I am disappointed in you guys for the disbelief, I urge you all to get up and follow me to the land. We have done our part in this deal and you should keep yours. If you are doubting Thomas and can't just bring yourself to believe me, follow me now!" Emily said with so much confidence and authority. They have no choice, she said to herself.

Slowly they got up and followed her out of the conference room where the meeting was held. Upon getting to the lobby of the room, they saw Leonard seated like a child waiting for his father. He stood up immediately he saw they file out, after giving them a curious look, he walked up to Emily and smiled at her.

"What happened? How did the meeting go?" Leonard asked her.

"Well, you can see them behind me. The doubt Thomas of our company, and they are the ones leading this company. The board of directors with no iota of believe in them. I am just so disappointed at them, at first I thought it was just because it almost seem impossible but now that it was made possible, shouldn't them be happy that we did it? They are just so negative and pessimistic!" Emily said with so much emotion, her voice grew louder and louder and it was no longer secret that she was talking about those behind her as they could also hear her.

"It's okay! Be calm!" Leonard said to her as he turned to look at those at the back and gave them a pleading smile with his palm pressed together.

"Well, there is a saying, seeing is believing! You can't blame them, I would have done worst!" Leonard said to her with a smile. He also felt disappointed but has to keep it within but now, his disappointment slowly turned into relief. At least he just proved to them what he was, not what but who he was.

"Whatever! Is that supposed to be the case?" Emily asked, she was still so much disappointed and wasn't seeing the clearer picture.

"Look at this from a perspective that next time, there is a huge possibility that they will believe us next time!" Leonard said to her as her countenance slowly soften.

They walked into the underground garage in the company, got into their different cars and waited for Emily to drive out, before of how late she was, she couldn't find a better place to park and had to use the most… the first sighted space.

They all moved out one after the other, after the first car that contains Emily and Leonard. They were still pretty in disbelieve and just followed them in other to shame then at the location, no other reason.

"You look worried!" Emily called Leonard's attention.

"No, I am not! My mind is just everywhere and nowhere at the same time!" He said to her as he stared into void.

"Everything will be fine!" Emily said, reassuring him.

"Thanks, love!" He said to her as silence enveloped the vehicle. They got to their destination and they both sighed simultaneously.

"What was that for?" They asked, again simultaneously before busting into laughter.

"To think I haven't seen the tunnel myself!" Emily said to Leonard.

"You were confident because you trusted me!" He said to her with a smile.

"I do! I sincerely and seriously do!" Emily replied with a smile.

There was a knock on the window.

"Let's go and show them!" Emily whispered with a smile as they both opened the door on their sides and got down.

"Follow me please!" Emily said to the frowning men that stood behind her SUV.

She took them with Leonard, to the tunnel and them amazed at the size and structure. It was magnificent and pleasing to the eyes.

"Wow, this is fantastic! How…" a young man from the group said in awe but was cut short by the look of the older board members.

"How is this even possible? This must be a fake so you can deceive us!" One of the older members, Mr Kent, yelled as he began to jump and kick around.

"Nothing you do will do anything to this tunnel! It is solid and was built to last longer than expected!" Leonard said to them with a proud smile.

"Well, he has proved himself, I guess we have no choice but to believe!" Another of the members said, inspecting the tunnel.

"Absurd! That's very stupid of you to say!" Mr Kent yelled.  "This! You mean this?" He asked pointing at the wall of the tunnel before walking towards it and tried to chip into the wall.

"Ouch!" He cried out instead, "my nail! I'm bleeding!" He continued crying out like a baby.

"Oh, such a pity! Isn't he cute?" Emily asked, mocking him.

"Don't do that, Emily! Isn't there first aid for him?" Leonard asked as everyone was just nonchalant about Mr Kent.

"So this brings us back to the promise some of you made concerning the ground we stand on…" Emily said, looking around.

There was grumbling and murmuring around the group, Leonard looked at everyone in confusion.

"What do you mean?" Leonard, leaned down and whispered to her.

"Just watch!" She simply said to him.

"The shares that will be passed down to Mr Leonard here, please get ready!" Emily announced with a smile.

They knew that closing it would not be easy, but they were prepared to do whatever it took to save their universe from destruction."We need to find a way to close this gateway," Talia said, her voice filled with resolve. "We can't let the darkness consume everything.""We should try using the artifacts," Kael suggested. "They might have the power to seal the gateway for good."Aiden nodded in agreement. "It's worth a shot. Let's give it a try."The three friends approached the gateway, the swirling energy crackling with power. Talia raised the artifacts, channeling their energy towards the gateway. The artifacts glowed brightly, their power surging towards the gateway. As Talia pondered the mysterious message she had received, she realized that the evil she had encountered might not be from her universe at all. It could be from another universe, just like hers. This revelation opened up a whole new realm of possibilities. If there were other universes, how many were there? And how were they connected? She decided to consult with Kael and Aiden. Together, they delved into ancient texts and consulted with wise beings from across the universe. What they discovered was both fascinating and terrifying. It turned out that there were indeed countless universes, each with its own set of rules and inhabitants. These universes existed parallel to each other, separated by a thin veil that kept them from interacting. However, something was causing these universes to overlap, creating rifts that allowed beings from one universe to enter another. This overlapping of universes was causing chaos and destruction, threatening to tear apart the very fabric of reality.

The Empire had been defeated, and peace had returned to the universe. But as Talia looked out at the vastness of space, she couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong. The evil they had faced had been powerful, more powerful than anything they had ever encountered before. And yet, it had been defeated so easily, almost as if it had wanted to be defeated. As she pondered this, a voice interrupted her thoughts. "Beautiful, isn't it?"Talia turned to see a man standing behind her. He was tall and handsome, with piercing blue eyes and a charming smile."Who are you?" Talia asked, her voice wary. The man chuckled. "I am known by many names, but you may call me Lucian."Talia felt a shiver run down her spine. There was something about this man that unnerved her, something that she couldn't quite put her finger on.

Talia's heart pounded as she stood face to face with a figure she thought she would never see again—her mother, who had passed away many years ago. The apparition shimmered before her, bathed in an ethereal light that cast long shadows across the room."Talia, my dear," her mother's voice was a soft whisper, filled with both sorrow and urgency. "You are in grave danger. There is an evil force lurking in the shadows, one that seeks to destroy everything you hold dear."Talia's mind raced as she tried to process the sight before her. Was this truly her mother, returned from the dead to deliver a warning? Or was it some trick of the darkness, seeking to manipulate her?"I don't understand," Talia said, her voice barely a whisper. "What do you mean, an evil force?"Her mother's form flickered, as if struggling to maintain its presence. "There is a darkness coming, Talia. A darkness unlike anything you have ever faced before. It seeks to consume the universe, to snuff out all light and lif

"We actually did it."Talia and Kael nodded, their faces reflecting a mixture of relief and exhaustion. They had faced the ultimate evil and emerged triumphant, but they knew that their journey was far from over."We should return to our universe," Talia said, her voice soft but resolute. "There's still much to be done there."Aiden and Kael agreed, and together they stepped back through the gateway, returning to their own universe.
