"Hands off my daughter weakling ".Jordan shouted throwing a pitiful punch straight to drake face sending him down.

"dad, please don't hurt drake,he has done nothing to you".Erin cried pulling her dad arm.

"Erin sweetie, what is the daughter of a supreme lord planetary level doing with a smelly brat like him".Jordan paused.

"if you need a man,I can invite you to koda,a advanced warrior level 6,plus his father is one of the most powerful families in star city,he owns a whole faction, koda is the right choice for you"Jordan said.

but Erin ignored her dad and went straight to drake.

"drake are you okay".Erin asked

"yeah I'm fine".drake replied feeling so down.

"dad, quit treating drake as if he is some animal".Erin said.

"but sweetie he is an animal,he has no family background,no home,he is a weakling that can't survive in anything,he has no hope in life so why waste your time on him,he is better under the bridge, hahahaha".Jordan laughed.

erin wanted to talk back but drake told her to stop

"Erin,your father is right,I'm clearly nothing,no home,friends or families.I'm just me Erin".drake cried.

"but I don't care drake,all I just want is you".Erin replied.

"hahahaha, don't make me laugh my lungs out".Jordan laughed.

"okay kid,if you want my daughter you will have to do this".Jordan said

"Sai"Jordan called

"dad no".Erin cried

"you called me master".sai said

"look kid,if you want my daughter you will have to beat sai in hand to hand combat, right here right now".Jordan said.

"no dad, that's suicide, drake you must not do this".erin said.

"I clearly can't beat this guy,but I have no choice here,at least I have to prove myself to Erin father".drake thought.

"so will you chicken out or fight for love hahaha".Jordan laughed.

"I will fight".drake replied.

"That's the spirit hahaha".Jordan laughed.

"drake, what are you doing, sai will kill you".Erin said.

"but I have to try Erin".drake replied

"you don't understand, sai is a well trained warrior that is at the master's level, you stand no chance, please just don't play my dad game".Erin pleaded.

"I still have to try,I can't afford to lose you, you're the only one in the world that sees me as someone".drake replied going to sai

Drake stepped into the clearing, fists clenched, heart pounding like a war drum. Sai stood still, unfazed, his eyes cold and unreadable. The warrior cracked his knuckles slowly, almost mockingly.

Jordan crossed his arms, smirking. “Let’s see what the rat can do.”

Erin rushed to Drake, grabbing his arm. “Please, Drake. We can leave. You don’t need to do this to prove anything to me.”

Drake looked at her, pain and resolve in his eyes. “But I need to prove it to me.”

He turned and faced Sai.

Without a word, Sai lunged forward like lightning. Drake barely dodged the first strike but caught a spinning kick to the ribs. He crashed to the ground, gasping.

“Drake!” Erin screamed, tears spilling.

Sai stood over him. “You’re not even worth the warm-up.”

But Drake stood up, shaking. Blood trickled from his mouth. His legs wobbled, but he raised his fists again. “I’m not giving up.”

Sai frowned slightly. “Then I’ll make sure you stay down.”

Another flurry of blows rained down—Drake blocked what he could, took most of them, and stayed standing.

In that moment, a faint glow sparked around Drake’s fists. Unseen to all but one—Jordan’s eyes widened for just a second.

“No way… that energy…”

Drake swung wildly, and for the first time, Sai took a step back.

Erin screamed, “Drake, stop! He’ll kill you!”

Drake rose again. “I’ll stop when your father sees I’m not trash.”

Drake’s glow pulsed erratically. What started as a spark of hope quickly twisted. His limbs grew heavier, and a sharp pain shot through his chest.

“Ugh… what’s… happening…?”

The star-like aura around him flickered violently, then dimmed. His knees buckled.

Jordan chuckled. “Looks like the little show’s over.”

Sai grinned. “He tapped into something beyond him. And now his body is breaking under it.”

Erin cried out, “Drake! Stop, you’re hurting yourself!”

But Drake could barely move. He forced himself upright, swaying like a dying flame. “I… have to… prove…”

Sai didn’t wait. He dashed forward with brutal speed and slammed his knee into Drake’s gut, lifting him off the ground.

Drake gasped and crumpled.

Then a kick to the ribs.

A punch to the face.

Drake hit the ground hard, blood dripping from his mouth. His glowing aura vanished completely.

Jordan laughed coldly. “That’s what happens when trash tries to shine.”

“Drake!” Erin sprinted to his side, shielding him with her body. “That’s enough, dad! He can’t even stand!”

Sai paused, fists clenched, looking to Jordan.

Jordan scoffed. “Let him live, now he knows his place, hahaha.

erin turned to Drake, tears falling freely. “Drake… why did you do this?”

Drake whispered through broken breath, “Because… you believed in me… and I wanted to believe too.”

***************

Hours later, Drake walked alone under the twin moons, dragging his feet through the quiet outskirts of Star City. His body ached, bruised inside and out. Every step was a reminder of what he wasn’t.

“No home… no power… no future,” he muttered.

The wind carried the sound of approaching footsteps—but not just one. Many.

He looked up.

Fifteen figures stepped from the shadows, armored in black and silver. Cold eyes. Sharp weapons.

“Orders from Lord Jordan,” one said. “You’re not to leave Star City alive.”

Drake's heart pounded. “He’s… sending killers after me now?”

The lead warrior, glowing faintly with Level 8 energy, cracked his neck. “Can’t have a weakling embarrassing his legacy. Especially one showing signs of unstable power.”

Drake stepped back. “I can’t even fight one of you right now…”

“No,” the warrior grinned. “You can’t.”

They lunged.

Drake ran.

Trees blurred past as he sprinted through the outskirts, every breath a stab in his chest. He tripped, rolled, stumbled to his feet. Blades sliced through the air behind him. One grazed his shoulder.

He fell hard, coughing blood, cornered at the edge of a steep ravine.

The warriors closed in.

Drake stood at the edge, nowhere left to run.

One warrior rushed forward, blade raised high—then another. Drake tried to dodge, but his legs failed him. Steel slashed across his back. He screamed, falling to his knees.

More blows came. Kicks. Fists. Energy blasts. His vision blurred.

Blood pooled beneath him.

He collapsed, face to the dirt, the world fading into black.

“So ends the life of a useless stray,” one assassin muttered.

As the warriors turned to leave, thinking the job was done, Drake lay motionless… barely breathing.

Then—

A whisper. Not from the outside. From within.

"Hey kid… let me help you."

A warmth flickered deep inside his broken chest. Foreign. Ancient. Alive.

Drake’s eyes opened faintly, glowing faintly with a strange, unfamiliar light.

Then everything went black.

The aftermath of the battle against the Herald left the academy grounds scarred. Cracked stone paths, scorched grass, and lingering qi tremors all whispered of the violence that had erupted. Yet even under those wounds, new dangers stirred.Drake walked through the wreckage, flanked by Riva, Syrian, and Kellan. His body still ached, but his eyes were sharper than ever. The system’s voice hummed in his mind:“Dimensional Rift stable. Threshold crossing imminent.”They reached the North Field, where the rift had first appeared. It stood like a wound in the sky — jagged edges crackling with violet lightning, shadows pouring in like ink. Around it, several cultivators and instructors stood guard, fear in their eyes.“Do not approach,” warned Councilor Juno from the sidelines. “One misstep, and you’ll be dragged across realms.”Drake nodded. “I understand.”He stepped forward, Kellan close beside him. The others followed cautiously. As they neared, the rift pulsed violently. The surface ri

  • Chapter twenty three(unseen chain)

Justin’s twin axes glowed ominously as he launched toward the evolving Herald. Each swing carved the air, his strikes fast, precise, and filled with killing intent. The Herald, now partially mutated, roared as its limbs stretched and shadows leaked from its form like mist.Drake watched from the cratered ground, his body trembling from exhaustion. “Sky… how strong is Justin holding back?”Sky’s voice echoed in his mind. “Barely using 60% now. That twin axe… is a pure blood weapon. It feeds off demonic and vampiric energy alike.”Drake’s eyes narrowed. “So he’s—”“A pure-blood… at least close,” Sky confirmed.Justin didn’t say a word as he pressed on, his attacks matching the Herald’s wild surges. Every time the Herald regenerated, Justin struck the same area, never allowing it to stabilize. In the distance, Syrian stood beside Riva, helping her stay upright. “He’s not normal,” Syrian muttered.Riva nodded slowly, her gaze locked on Drake and Justin. “Neither of them are.”With one f

  • Chapter twenty two (storm between worlds)

The academy grounds were unusually tense.Rumors spread like wildfire—about the Zendras’ return, about Drake’s growing powers, and whispers of dark forces moving again. Though the council tried to keep it quiet, too many had seen the battle. Too many had questions.Drake walked through the halls, cloaked in silence, his presence now drawing eyes filled with awe… and fear.Syrian walked beside him, his usual cocky grin absent. “You’ve been quiet since the fight. I don’t blame you. That thing nearly ended us.”Drake nodded. “There’s more to come. Worse than Zendras.”“Worse?” Syrian asked.“I can’t explain it yet,” Drake muttered. “Not now.”Behind them, Riva followed with narrowed eyes. She hadn’t said much either, but she had noticed something. Drake’s energy had shifted—he was more focused… and somehow, more distant.Meanwhile…In the Mixed World, Justin stood alone atop a bloodstone cliff, watching the skies shimmer with power. His mind raced. “Drake… You’re walking a line even I

  • Chapter twenty one (bloodline and betrayal)

The moment the battle ended and Drake returned to the academy, something shifted. His mind wasn’t on the injuries, nor on the weight of the mission's success. It was on the words the Zendras creature had whispered before dying.“You’re not one of them… you’re one of us. A monster.”Those words clung to him like a curse. Even when Syrian laughed, trying to lighten the mood, or when Riva teased him about getting stronger, Drake barely responded. He smiled, nodded, but inside, something was boiling. He submitted his mission report and made his way back to his room, the world feeling heavy. As soon as the door closed behind him, silence flooded in.He collapsed onto the floor, sitting cross-legged, forcing himself to meditate.“I need answers,” he muttered. He began circulating his Qi, reaching deeper into his core. He focused on pushing past the threshold to Level 4 Qi Cultivation, determined to bury the noise. Hours passed. Sweat rolled down his face. His aura fluctuated violently.Syst

The students gathered in the courtyard, whispers dark and urgent passing between them. The council had called an emergency assembly—no one knew the reason, but fear hovered in every heart.Drake, flanked by Syrian and Riva, walked forward, Kellan’s seat waiting near the front, empty and watched by guards. Despite the victory in the arena, nothing felt safe.Councilor Juno stepped onto the dais. His voice echoed:“Warriors of the academy, we stand at a brink. The creature that attacked during the final—it was identified as a Zendras, long thought extinct. The academy’s archives confirm the hybrid blood signature is 60% identical to the hero we witnessed.”Gasps, murmurs.Juno continued: “Due to the threat, investigation teams will be dispatched. Drake Valen, as one who bears this blood, you are ordered to lead the Zone C expedition into the ruined sector—not as a warrior, but

The Mixed World had always been a realm of secrets, but now those secrets threatened to spill over and consume Earth itself.Back at the Earth Academy, Drake sensed the growing tension. The air was thick with anticipation, and whispers about the Zendras spread quietly among the students and instructors. Even Jordan’s usual scowl seemed sharper, his eyes narrowing whenever he caught sight of Drake.Justin moved silently through the shadows of the academy, blending perfectly with the environment — a ghost among mortals.
