"Doctor... who was it?" Tony pressed, his voice hoarse. "Who gave me the blood?"

The senior doctor froze, his fingers tightening around the clipboard as though he had just been asked to speak a forbidden name. Glancing nervously toward the door, he swallowed hard and forced a shaky smile.

"I... I am not in a position to mention that person's identity, Mr. Clark. However, you will see who it is very soon."

Checking his wristwatch, the doctor suddenly lost all color in his face. "Good heavens, look at the time—I must go prepare for his arrival!" Hurrying toward the exit, he began muttering anxiously under his breath as if Tony were no longer in the room. "Everything has to be flawless... It was *his* car that accidentally hit the boy last night, and if anything goes wrong under my watch, my career is over..."

The door clicked shut behind him, leaving Tony alone with a racing mind and the steady beep of the heart monitor.

Hoping to distract himself, Tony reached for the bedside remote and switched on the wall-mounted television.

Instantly, a live news broadcast filled the screen, displaying a sweeping drone shot of a massive glass skyscraper that Tony quickly recognized as Star City Central Hospital—the very building he was lying in.

Down on the streets below, thousands of people had gathered behind police barricades, screaming and waving banners like crazed fans awaiting a rock star.

"Good morning, Star City!" the breathless reporter shouted over the roar of the crowd. "After forty years away from the public eye, the legendary Ragnar Dynasty has officially reclaimed its spot as the number-one most powerful family on the planet, boasting a staggering net worth of fifty trillion dollars! Word has just leaked that the family's patriarch, Daniel Ragnar himself, is arriving at Central Hospital this very morning!"

Blinking in disbelief at the sheer scale of the spectacle, Tony carefully detached the IV line from his arm and struggled out of bed.

Limping over to the floor-to-ceiling window, he peered down from the sixtieth floor at the endless sea of humanity stretching across the avenues below.

All this madness for just one man?* he wondered, shaking his head.

Yet as awe faded into reality, a cold knot tightened in his stomach. A top-floor VIP suite in a hospital like this undoubtedly cost a small fortune every hour, and he didn't have a single cent to his name.

If he waited around until they handed him the bill, he would be buried in debt for the rest of his life. He needed to get out of here immediately.

Slipping quietly out into the bustling hallway—where nurses and orderlies were rushing about in frantic preparation—Tony kept his head down and limped toward the elevator.

He pressed the button for the ground floor, enduring the long ride down in tense silence.

When the doors finally chimed and slid open into the main lobby, Tony stepped out too quickly and accidentally bumped shoulders with an elderly man in a sharp bespoke suit, who was flanked by four imposing bodyguards heading into the same elevator.

"I'm so sorry, sir," Tony murmured, stepping aside with an apologetic nod.

Barely sparing him a glance, the old man stepped into the elevator, and the doors slid shut. Turning toward the main exit, Tony took barely three steps before colliding with someone else.

"Watch where you're going, you blind—" The curse died abruptly in the man's throat.

Tony looked up, coming face-to-face with Liam Foster.

For a split second, Liam stared at Tony’s bandaged head and slung arm as though seeing a ghost, his eyes widening in pure shock before darkening with fury.

Whirling around, Liam glared venomously at the two burly bodyguards trailing behind him. Both men flinched and lowered their heads in guilty silence.

"Useless idiots," Liam hissed through clenched teeth. "You can't even get a simple job done right."

Masking his anger behind an arrogant smirk, Liam turned back to Tony and raised his voice so the crowded lobby could hear.

"Well, well, look what the cat dragged in! What are you doing in a luxury hospital like this, Tony? Did you sell a kidney just to afford walking through the front doors?"

As curious passersby slowed down to watch, Liam puffed out his chest, basking in the attention. "In case you haven't heard, Vivian and I are getting married soon. Look at this pathetic freeloader, everyone—dumped by his wife last night, and already begging for scraps in a hospital lobby!"

Laughter rippled through a few onlookers, but Tony didn't flinch. Meeting Liam's gaze evenly, he spoke in a calm, cutting voice that carried clearly across the marble floor.

"Take away your father's bank account, Liam, and what are you? Just an insecure little boy with daddy issues, desperately buying women because no one could ever stomach you for free."

The surrounding whispers vanished into dead silence, and Liam’s face turned an ugly shade of purple.

"You fucking piece of—" Stopping himself as he spotted a distinguished man in a crisp white coat walking past, Liam’s lips curled into a cruel smile. He knew for a fact that his family’s donations kept this hospital’s board in his pocket. "Ah, Director Harrison! Perfect timing. As you know, everyone in this hospital answers to my family. This stray dog is harassing a VIP guest like me—have security break his other arm and throw him into the street!"

Director Harrison halted, turning to see who Liam was pointing at—and the blood instantly drained from his face.

Rushing right past Liam as if he were invisible, the hospital director stopped respectfully in front of Tony, his voice trembling with urgent concern.

"Mr. Clark! Good lord, sir, what are you doing out of bed in your condition? Please, I beg of you, let me escort you back to your suite immediately!"

Liam’s jaw dropped. Jealousy and humiliation boiled over in his chest as he watched the hospital's highest authority practically groveling before a penniless outcast.

"Have you lost your damned mind, Harrison?!" Liam barked, stepping between them. "Why are you begging this human garbage? He’s a broke, worthless—"

SLAP!

The crack of Director Harrison’s palm across Liam’s face echoed like a gunshot through the lobby, freezing every doctor, nurse, and patient in their tracks.

Clutching his stinging left cheek, Liam stared at the older man in stunned disbelief as Harrison drew himself up coldly.

"Hear me clearly, Liam Foster! From this moment on, you are permanently blacklisted from Central Hospital. Not a single doctor or nurse under my roof will ever treat you or your family again!"

"You... you dared to hit me?!" Liam shrieked, trembling with rage. "If my father finds out about this, he will shut this entire hospital down by tonight!"

Director Harrison let out a cold, mocking laugh. "Is that so? Then by all means, call your father right now." Pulling his own smartphone from his coat pocket, Harrison dialed a number and shoved the ringing device against Liam's chest. "Go ahead. Tell him."

Snatching the phone, Liam glared daggers at both of them as the line connected. "Dad! Where the hell are you right now?!"

"I just stepped out of the elevator in the main lobby," a deep voice replied through the speaker. "Why?"

Just then, the elevator doors behind them chimed open. The elderly man in the suit whom Tony had bumped into moments earlier strode out with his four bodyguards, heading straight toward the commotion.

Spotting his father, Liam’s face lit up with vindictive triumph. Rushing forward, he pointed an accusing finger at Harrison and Tony.

"Dad, thank God you're here! This lunatic doctor just slapped me across the face to defend this worthless piece of street trash! I want you to ruin both of them right—"

SLAP!

Before Liam could finish his sentence, his father swung his arm with full force, striking Liam across his other cheek so violently that the younger man spun around and crashed onto the floor.

Gasps echoed across the silent lobby. Completely ignoring his whimpering son, the patriarch of the Foster family hurried forward, stopped directly in front of a stunned Tony, and bent his back into a deep, ninety-degree bow.

"I beg your forgiveness for the filthy, unforgivable behavior of my son," the old man stammered, his voice shaking with pure terror. "Please spare us... Young Master!"

Vivian hissed, yanking her arm free. "What are you doing yelling at me like that in front of everyone?""What am I doing?!" Liam whispered fiercely, his eyes wide with panic. "What the hell are you doing here, Vivian?! How did you even get past the gates?""I've been trying to call you all evening!" she shot back, frustrated and confused. "Why have you been avoiding my calls? And why didn't you send my family an invitation to this party?"Liam dragged a trembling hand down his face. "Holy shit, this is massive!!" The iron gates parted unveiling a private estate so vast that Tony couldn't see where the grounds ended. As the convoy of armored black SUVs moved up the sweeping cobblestone drive, he pressed his forehead against the tinted glass, his jaw slackening in pure awe. The Ragnar mansion wasn't merely a house; it was a palace carved from white marble and steel, rising five stories above acres of manicured gardens, tiered fountains, and tree-lined avenues. For three years, Tony had scrubbed the floors of the Clark estate thinking that was the pinnacle of wealth. Looking up at the Ragnar fortress, he realized the Clarks lived in a glorified shack by comparison. When the vehicles came to a halt beneath the grand portico, Daniel stepped out and guided Tony through the massive double doors into the main foyer. Inside, the ceiling soared three stories overhead, dominated by a cascading crystal chandelier that scattered warm light across the polished floors.

"As much as I appreciate you teaching your son some manners, Mr. Foster, I'm sorry—you must have gotten the wrong person. I'm nobody's Young Master." Hoping to slip away before things got any weirde
