Chapter sixteen.

The investors exchanged bewildered glances.

"What do you mean?" one of them asked, their voices laced with confusion.

Ethan's chuckle was low and smooth as he stood up, his eyes glinting with amusement.

Caleb's gaze locked onto his, trying to decipher the thoughts racing through his mind, but Ethan's expression remained inscrutable.

He walked towards where Victoria was sitting down. And then he placed his hands on her chairs.

"The new CEO is Victoria Edwards," Ethan announced, his voice firm and authoritative.

Caleb's eyes went wide, his face pale with shock.

"What?!" he gasped, his voice barely above a whisper.

His mouth hung open, his eyes fixed on Ethan as if he'd just been punched in the gut.

Ethan's smirk was merciless.

"Caleb, close your mouth before a fly makes itself at home."

Caleb's face flushed with embarrassment as he snapped his jaw shut. His hands clenched into fists, turning white with tension, as he seethed with rage.

    Chapter ninety four.Caleb walked into the sitting room, his arm wrapped around a laughing lady, but his steps faltered as he took in the tense atmosphere. His eyes landed on his brother, then his father, who was pacing back and forth, his face etched with concern. Caleb's gaze lingered on his father's disgusted expression as he stared at him and the lady. With a whispered promise to meet her upstairs, the lady nodded awkwardly and excused herself. Caleb cleared his throat, his eyes locked on his family's stern faces, and asked, "What's happening?"His father's hiss was followed by a curt gesture towards the file on the table. Caleb's eyes darted to it, and he picked it up, his voice laced with confusion as he asked, "What is this?" His father's response was gruff, "See for yourself." Caleb's hands trembled slightly as he unwrapped the envelope, his eyes scanning the contents. His face paled, and a low curse escaped his lips. "Holy shit! How dare the lawyer ditch us for Maria?"
