Rushing into the bathroom as fast as he could, he was worried that something might have happened to her, and immediately paused when he saw Ariel on the floor with nothing but a flimsy tiny towel wrapped around her body.

He sucked in a breath at the unexpected but intoxicating image before him. He wasn't sure if it was appropriate to be staring the way he was right now, but that didn't stop him from standing there and blinking repeated at the sight.

He was not sure what he should be doing at that point. Awe struck was an understatement to the effect her beauty had on him.

Was it even appropriate to try to help her up? She was practically naked and God! She was beautiful. Her skin glowed brighter than the florescent lightning in the bathroom, and for a second, he wondered how she'd react if her towel came off.

He could not take his eyes off her for several moments. He thought she was beautiful before but staring at her now with barely any clothes on, he wanted to claim her as his.

He watched as her face turned a deep crimson in embarrassment.

“What are you doing? Help her!” My inner voice chastised.

He cleared his throat at the awkward tension between them and moved to her side swiftly.

“Are you okay?” He asked her and she shook her head.

“I think I sprained my ankle.” She said, looking down at her legs.

“Shit. Okay, I'm going to help you up

are you ready?” He asked for some reason.

He didn't want to pick her up and accidentally take off her towel, although He wouldn't have minded if she consented.

“Get your mind out of the gutter, Jeremy!” He chastised himself.

She nodded and held on to her towel really tight. He crouched to her level and picked her up from the ground, careful not to unravel her tiny towel.

She blushed even harder as she was now barely a whisper from his face. She turned away from him, looking at anywhere else in the room but at him.

He couldn't help but blush too. He knew he shouldn't have been thinking of inappropriate things, but he had the urge to kiss her, but he was sure that would result in a sounding slap.

She weighed barely anything as he carried her out of the bathroom and into her bedroom, it felt like he was carrying a feather, a stunning and sexy feather.

Gently and carefully, he placed her down on her bed and for the first time noticed the vast difference between her bedroom and his.

While his was basically gray and white, hers was an emerald green and lilac that gave him a soothing feeling. The room was a bit bigger than mine, and it had a see-through wall at the left-hand corner.

“What's going on, Noah?” His little brother asked through the phone as he spied on his sister and her alleged husband.

“Seems they are getting intimate…” He said, surprised to see the young man carrying his sister to the bed.

He let his binoculars fall to his neck. He did not want to see his sister getting it on with her husband, or any man for that matter that would be gross. He came down from the fence. He could not believe he was doing this, spying on his sister, but what choice did he have?

It didn't make sense for Ariel to be married so soon and out of the blue too. I mean she had never even had a boyfriend for fuck's sake.

Whatever the hell was going on, he needed to figure it out.

“You know we could have easily hired a private investigator for this.” His brother said as soon he got down.

“Yes but where's the fun in that?” He smirked, taking off his binoculars from his neck and placing it in its case.

“How are you, the older sibling?” His brother asked with a blank stare.

“Maybe because I'm smarter, more handsome?”

“Sure. So, do you think he's authentic?”

He asked, referring to their sister's new husband.

“Honestly, I don't know, it's hard to say.”

He said, stroking his chin in thought.

“But you just said they were about to have sex, what could be more authentic than them consummating their marriage?”

“I don't know, but there's still something fishy going on.”

“Of course you'd say that. Let's just go before we get caught.”

“Yeah, I need to call Jake, so he can run a background check on him.” He mused out loud.

If Ariel wasn't going to introduce him to them, then they might as well get familiar with him, she'd kill them when she finds out, but he didn't care.

“You haven't done that?” His brother asked in an incredulous tone.

“No, I haven't done that, it's not like I knew she was going to suddenly be married today, I wasn't exactly given the invitation letter.” He glared at him as they walked to their car parked just down the street.

“Fair enough. I have to agree with you that it is a bit odd, the whole marriage thing. Didn't even realize she had a boyfriend.”

“Me and you both.” He replied and opened the driver side of the car.

“How about we just invite him for dinner?”

His little brother asked “get to know the lad.”

“Tried that, Ariel said no, well, not really no, she just kind of ignored me. She might be onto us, I think, " He said as he started the car.

“Well then, she's definitely hiding something. I'm not so sure if it, but at least you are,” His brother retorted as he put on his seat belt.

“Yeah, she sure is, we just need to find out what, but I have a feeling we already know.”

“You really think she'd go through all this trouble to get the company?”

“I don't know what to think, to be honest.” He said as he began to drive back home.

"Your wife? That woman is my property, my wife." "Look man, I don't know what century you are from but women are no longer properties and she is mine. You come near her and I'll kill her and then kill you." Jeremy's words were vicious. The big man's eyes widened in shock. "Are you insane?" He asked. "I'm more than insane. Catherine belongs to me and will only belong to me.* Catherine was behind Jeremy shivering in fear now. "Fine, you can have her but watch your back ... this isn't over." The big man warned and turned around, knowing he wouldn't be able to win this battle in such a public place. His only option was to leave and bid his time. "Thank you so much," Catherine said to Jeremy as soon as the man left. Jermey glared at her. "Keep your thanks to yourself and stay away from me." He spat and began to walk towards the boarding terminal. His phone rang before he could g

Jeremy got home that night but his mother was already asleep which was exactly what he hoped for. He wasn't sure he had it in him to talk to her about all that happened. He knew how she would take it and didn't want to stress her out. He already knew what to tell her about the organization. A simple "It's not something I'm interested in" would suffice. As soon as he got to his room, he jumped into the shower. The words of Collins echoed in his ears. “You can't say no to us. You have ties with us.” He was in a pickle because he knew they weren't going to let him go easily and would probably continue to send him letters. He had to figure out a way to get them off his back and the trip he was about to take tomorrow was going to be the start of it. After showering, he dressed up and fell asleep. Jeremy woke up to the sound of his alarm clock and his phone ringing at the same time. He dismissed the

“Nice to meet you,” Jeremy extended his hands for a handshake but instead of a handshake, Collins moved in for a hug. Jeremy stiffened for a millisecond the hug lasted and frowned when the man smiled wide. “So, how are you finding the party, Jeremy?” The man asked, leading Jeremy towards the various takes where different men played games. A few women were also in attendance and they were dressed normally. Jeremy could not help wondering if all of the people out there were new members like he was or maybe they were just floor members and not executives. The man showing him around was an older man with a pretty face and huge glasses. He looked more like a nerd than a billionaire. Jeremy noticed a lot of other men that he recognized in a casino looking parry. Some of them waved at him and he waved back. He was still a bit uneasy the deeper they went into the room. “So, what do you think?” He aske

Jeremy stood in front of the mirror as he got ready for the party he'd been invited to. It had been two days since the letter arrived and it had come in a peculiar way.. It had been inside a small shaped coffin with roses decorating it. He had a feeling it had something to do with the theme of the party. ‘The dead’ was the theme and it confused Jeremy why they had chosen something so dark and controversial but then again, they sounded more like a cult than a club so he wasn't surprised. “Are you ready to go sir?” Amy barged in. Jeremy turned to look at her his secretary and nodded. “Yes, I think so. How do I look?* I asked. “Great… Oh your tie,” She pointed. “It's a little crooked.” She said, Jeremy tried to rearrange his tie but he only made it worse. “I'll just help you.” She said and made her way towards her boss. She forced him to look her way and the

""Boss?" Sophia frowned, a confused look on her face. "Yes, I have been trying to tell you. Jeremy is the head of the Verde's headquarters." Sophia's eyes widened at the words of her husband and a look of horror covered her face. "Wait... I don't understand.' "It's not that hard to understand, my name is Jeremy and I am the head and CEO of Verde. Nice to meet you!" Jeremy said in a mocking tone. Amy smirked, enjoying the look on the old woman's face. She seemed to Frozen in place, trying to figure out what to do and she loved it. "Um, well. Nice to meet you, officially, Jeremy." She extended her hands for a handshake but Jeremy didn't move to take it even though his mother clearly wanted him to. "Yes, nice indeed." Jeremy said sarcastically and turned to Amy. "Let's go," He said and followed Any out of the lobby. "I didn't realize your son was the head of Verde, Rieda, you'v

"The car is outside, boss." Amy said as she walked into the living room where Jeremy and his mother sat, talking. Jeremy glanced up at Amy and nodded. "We'll be out in a second, thanks Amy," "Of course, sir." Amy nodded and made her way outside to wait for them. "Come on, mom..we gotta go." Jeremy said to his mother and helped her up. They both found their way out of the house and got into the car. They were on their way to Verde's headquarters. Amy had found out about a few things about Reginald as Jeremy had expected. They'd discovered the fact that Reginald not only had ties with the Verde's company but that he was involved in some shady business that had the potential to drag the name of the Verdes in the mud if word got out and he planned on putting a stop to it as soon as possible. There was no concrete evidence yet but there were a lot of things that didn't seem to ad
