Zay was a valkerie, he should be with the original goddess of vampires if she still exists, then he’s getting a mate of his own and is still forever the guardian as god of the valkeries.
Absolutely not, nope, zay and a different goddess yes, but nope not Thea. That’s a smidge messed up. They love him like family but it undermines the whole idea of the mate bond on one hand. It’s nice the kids think of him as a dad but maybe zay and the original vampire goddess since he has valkeries
If he joins, I don’t think he should be only Theas mate but also mate with the brothers— she already has enough partners alone. If that’s not the dynamic then I think he should have his own mate and become the God that provides primary support to the underworld, Valkyries, Vampires, etc.

I think it’s taking there connection to far, now becoming a god to the valkaries and in the process of that finding a goddess mate, maybe one that Thea has made into a goddess! As much as they have a bond, it’s because there bond is different that it’s special
