9. The Fight Between Them

"Leo! You've finally returned to the Araizona family! We've been waiting for you!"

Leo still couldn't digest what was happening now.

After a brief introduction with Hans and Bram, Leo was forced to join them in the car. To be precise, they went to this magnificent mansion-with a gold carving with the name Araizona Family above the main double doors.

Leo's arrival was warmly welcomed by an elegantly dressed woman. There was a middle-aged man who walked up to him wearing an expensive blacksuit.

Behind the two strangers, there were four other people. Two women and two men. All of them wore luxurious clothes.

"I missed you so much!" the woman said as she spread out both hands.

Leo felt awkward when she was about to hug him. But he let her embrace him tightly.

"I've been waiting for you for years, Leo. I can't let you leave this family again," the woman said.

From the side, Hans approached and said, "Mrs. Holland, we found Mr. Leo drowning in the lake. Luckily we still had time to save him."

After the hug was released, Leo just looked at the woman called Mrs. Holland in confusion. Leo still needed to process what happened.

"Oh my God. I'm so sorry about what happened 17 years ago. I shouldn't have left you like that," Mrs. Holland said regretfully.

Leo frowned after hearing Mrs. Holland's words. What did she mean?

"You must not be able to believe what happened to your family right away. Now, you go rest in your room."

Leo, who couldn't argue, finally followed Hans and Bram. They took him to the second floor using an elevator, then walked down the hall.

Along the gold-walled hallway, Leo was mesmerized by the framed photos of the family members. All the family members in the photos appeared to be wearing luxurious clothes.

Leo then arrived at a grand room with windows stretching wide. He could see the view of the hills.

When standing in front of the wide glass window, Leo could see a private golf course, a horse riding field, a large swimming pool, and two buildings of unknown origin. Leo saw a very thick sense of luxury in this mansion area.

"Enjoy your life as the heir of Mrs. Holland's family, Mr. Leo," Bram said.

Leo looked back and saw Bram and Hans bowing. As if paying their respects.

"After this, you will have a meal from the waiter, Mr. Leo. Enjoy your meal," Hans said.

"Thank you, Hans and Bram," Leo replied rather awkwardly.

After that, Hans and Bram left Leo's room. Leaving Leo still dumbfounded where he stood.

Leo immediately let out a long sigh while sitting on the edge of the bed. With a confused look, Leo tried to digest everything.

The incident of him hearing an unfamiliar voice echoed in his mind until he ended up here. Everything was ringing in his brain. Leo still didn't understand, was he hallucinating when he heard the voice in his mind that said it wanted to give him a chance to live?

[SYSTEM ACTIVATED!]

Leo was somewhat startled after hearing the same voice echo. A system hologram screen suddenly appeared in front of his face.

Spontaneously Leo jumped back, looking vigilant.

"Who are you?" asked Leo.

[Hello, I am Meila, the revenge reincarnation system. Congratulations for choosing to stay alive!"]

[What you need to know is that I am not a system chip installed in your brain. I only exist in your mind and people cannot hear or see me. You are my owner.]

Leo flinched at Meila's words.

In his entire life, Leo had never come across this kind of thing. Part of him still couldn't believe that there was such a thing as systems and abilities like in the novels he read.

"Impossible. You must be my delusional form," said Leo who still didn't believe it.

Leo frowned at Meila's words. Then he saw the display on the system screen change to be filled with text in a table

Then Meila's voice was heard again.

[You have to do the mission, Loe. Trial System points will be accumulated in your point level. While ability points are your power points, if the ability points are higher then your power level is greater]

"Why do I have to meet them-"

"Mr. Leo. The banquet is ready for you."

The woman's voice jerked Leo back and stopped him in his tracks. The system screen in front of Leo's face instantly disappeared. He saw the maid-housepack woman walk in carrying a tray.

"Do you need anything else?" the maid-housepack woman asked.

Leo immediately shook his head. "No, I just want to rest."

Leo silently tried to calm himself down. What happened today really shocked him. He needed time to digest all the events.
