Enzo's eyes opened for a moment, and the world around him was spinning. Pain was coming from every inch of his skin, and his body felt like it had been hit with a sledgehammer. The cold concrete floor under him seemed to suck the heat out of his bones. The chains on his wrists felt familiar, and they made him panic.

Luca Moretti stood in front of him and watched with cold, calculating eyes as Enzo tried to sit up. Enzo's blood boiled when he saw how smug Luca looked. Luca didn't just want power anymore; he wanted to humiliate people. And Enzo was his prize.

"Ghost, you really thought you could beat me?" Luca leaned in closer and sneered, his breath hot and full of anger. "The Ghost is dead." You're just a memory that's fading.

Enzo's mind raced as he gritted his teeth and tried to ignore the pain in his muscles. He was on the edge, both mentally and physically, but his will to live had always been stronger than the pain.

Enzo said in a hoarse voice, "I'm not done yet," through clenched teeth. He was hurt, but not done. Not yet.

Luca laughed and walked away slowly, clearly having a good time. "You'll never get out of here, Dalca." I won. I own the city.

As he looked at the steel door in front of him, Enzo's heart raced. He could feel the dark room closing in on him and making it hard for him to breathe. But then, something changed inside of him. This wasn't the end. He wouldn't let it go.

His eyes quickly moved to the side, where he saw the smallest movement. Serena. She was there, standing in the room's shadows, her face set with determination. Enzo had learnt to trust her, even though she had lied to him and betrayed him in the past.

Serena walked up without saying a word, her steps light but steady. She crouched next to him and reached out to touch the cold metal of his restraints.

Serena whispered, "We don't have much time." Her voice was low but urgent. "I've been trying to find a way out. You do, however, need to be ready to fight back.

Enzo looked her in the eye, and the fire of defiance burned in his chest. There was a new edge to his voice, which was barely a rasp. "I'm not going to follow their rules anymore."

Serena quickly unlocked the chains around his wrists. Enzo's heart raced with excitement when he suddenly became free.

"Let's get out of here, then," he said in a low, cold voice. The Ghost of Havencroft was dead, but what about Enzo Dalca? He was just getting going.

They moved quickly, slipping through the compound's tight hallways and avoiding the guards as they headed for the exit. Enzo's body still hurt from the torture, but he felt stronger with every step. The adrenaline in his blood was like a drug that kept him going and fighting.

But he couldn't stop thinking about Bianca. He couldn't stop thinking about the betrayal. She had been his friend and the person he trusted most. Now, though, she was with Carmela Santillo. Serena's voice broke into his thoughts.

Serena said, "We don't have time to think about the past, Enzo." Her voice was sharp, but there was an undertone of something else, like empathy. "We should think about the future. About what we're going to do next.

Enzo's jaw got tight. There was no way for him to get away from it. His thoughts kept going back to Bianca, the face of someone who had once fought with him but was now working with his enemies. He couldn't be weak or get distracted. His mind became clearer and his focus sharper.

"You're right," he said, pushing the thoughts away. "Let's get this done."

The door at the end of the last hallway opened with a screech, and they heard Carmela Santillo's voice, which they weren't expecting.

"Well, well," Carmela's voice echoed down the hall. "Look who was able to get out of the hole I left you in."

Enzo's heart sank. Carmela was there, standing in front of him with a smug smile. She knew about the plan. She was always one step ahead.

Enzo said in a low, dangerous voice, "You're playing both sides, Carmela." "Have you been working with Luca this whole time?"

Carmela's eyes sparkled with laughter. "Of course I have. You think I'm here to help you? Enzo, I'm here to take you down. It's time to clean up because you've been a problem for too long.

Serena stepped forward, her hand resting on the gun at her side. "Do you really think you can beat him after everything we've done together?"

Carmela's laugh was cold and sharp. "I don't need your help, Serena." I never did.

The door behind them slammed open before anyone could do anything. Luca Moretti walked into the room and stared at Enzo with cold eyes.

Luca said, "Well, well," in a smooth, teasing voice. "It looks like the Ghost is still alive." But it won't last long.

Enzo's heart raced as the last fight drew closer. "This is it, Moretti."

Luca's smile was mean. "Does it?" Or will this be the last fight, the one that finally ends your life?

Enzo stepped forward and squinted his eyes. "That's not up to you to decide."

And just as he was about to hit, Luca's men moved into place, surrounding them on all sides. The last battle was about to start. Enzo was stuck between two enemies who would do anything to kill him.

Enzo's mind raced as the gunshots rang out. This was the time when everything would change.

"People who work for Serena are dug in by the fountain." Three of Luca's former lieutenants came in with Serena. No masks. No attitude. Just tired eyes and hands close to their holsters. She stopped in front of him. "You chose a nice place," she said. "Romantic in a way that comes after the end of the world."He said, "It has been the cause of most of our problems." "Sit."They grabbed their chairs. The sirens screamed and then stopped. Someone yelled from the street below, then went quiet.Marco, one of his oldest officers, stood at the table with coffee and maps on it. "You have the city, boss," he said. "What's left of it?"Enzo didn't take his eyes off the window. "I have rubble that answers to my name." That is not the same thing.Marco said, "You wanted the throne." "Now it is yours."Enzo said, "The throne is a broken chair with bullets in it." "Sit on it wrong, and it kills you."Marco laughed half-heartedly. "Some men kill for seats that are less comfortable."He got serious and tapped a mark on the map. "The south blocks are on edge.
