This could turn out to be a great mystery. Did an old advesary from Elliot and Avery past somehow found out that Shelley's son is a Foster and had the infant stollen and delivered to them as a final attemp to split them up. They both had a lot of enemies tryong to break them up.

Unless I am mistaken Elliot WAS supposed to have had a vascectomy after learning that Ruby was carrying Ivy. But also Avery did have brain surgery tp have a massive tumor removed after having Ivy stolen from her women and transplanted into Ruby's which is when things started spinning out of control.
