Chapter 1: A Bully

Behind the Kingdom University building, five students were gathered. The four men were members of the most popular gang on campus and were the children of wealthy families.

As for the other man, he was Sean Alfie Edison. One of the students was always the target of bullying by the gang.

Three of them are seen holding Sean from various sides. One man, who was the leader of the gang, was seen standing in front of them.

"Sean, do you think you can get away with this today?" asked Arnold Twain, the leader of the gang.

He smiled dismissively. Then he took off Sean's glasses.

"Can you only afford cheap stuff like this, Sean?"

Arnold waved the glasses in front of Sean's face. He looked very dismissive of the poor man.

"What do you expect from a loser like Sean? He can only afford such a cheap item," said someone behind Sean.

"Then again, wouldn't it be even more absurd if he could afford luxury goods?" The man on the left side chimed in.

The four men laughed. Sean's misfortune was their entertainment.

Sean struggled, but he couldn't do anything. He didn't have enough strength to fight the three men holding him.

"You guys are right. But I don't think even this cheap stuff is suitable for a loser like Sean," Arnold said.

He looked at Sean and continued, "Don't you think, Sean?"

"Give me back my glasses, Arnold!"

Sean was still struggling. He wanted to beat Arnold, but what could he do? He couldn't even escape the clutches of the other three men. Let alone beat Arnold.

"Give it back to you? What for? You don't deserve to wear it!"

Arnold patted Sean's nape. Then he threw his glasses on the ground and stomped on them. Again. Laughter rang out from the four men.

"No!"

Seeing what Arnold had done, Sean screamed. He looked at Arnold hatefully. This was the culmination of all the bullying he had endured.

The rage in him peaked. His face turned red like a tomato. His hands clenched into fists, and he began to gather strength.

Sean struggled again. This time, his efforts were not in vain. He got away.

Sean pushed Arnold's body until the man almost fell. Then he quickly picked up his broken glasses. Sadness immediately enveloped his heart.

It was the only pair of glasses he had. They were hard-earned. He had saved his hard-earned salary for months so he could buy it.

Now it is broken. Sean didn't know how else to find the money to replace them with new ones.

He could only curse what Arnold had done to him. Cursing the unfair world.

"Sean, don't tell me those are the only glasses you have."

Arnold approached him. He patted Sean's shoulder and looked at him compassionately. More like pretending to be compassionate.

"Oh, is that right?" he asked again. His hand was over his mouth, dramatizing the situation.

Sean didn't answer. He just bowed his head. His hands were clenched into tight fists.

Arnold laughed at him again.

As the successor of one of the rich families, Arnold felt superior to Sean, who was just a poor young man with no parents. He felt he could do anything to Sean without having to worry about the consequences.

This was the case with his bullying. It wasn't the first time, and it was no secret. It had been going on since Sean first set foot at this university.

Sean's status as a poor boy made almost all the students call him a loser. That's what gave Arnold more freedom. He was sure that no one would dare oppose him and defend a loser like Sean. To Arnold, Sean was like a toy that could be treated at will.

On this campus, Sean was completely alone. No one dared to help him. Not even the lecturers. They were very ignorant and always argued that Sean could handle it on his own. He was no longer a child.

Today, Arnold's treatment had gone too far. Sean couldn't take it anymore.

Without thinking, Sean lunged at Arnold, who was standing next to him. Both collapsed on the ground.

Sean punched Arnold repeatedly in the face. He wanted to vent all his anger at the arrogant man so badly. So he didn't think about the consequences he would get.

But unfortunately, not yet satisfied with venting his anger, Sean's body was already being held back by the other two men. They pulled Sean off Arnold's body and took him a little away.

Sean struggled, but the other man slapped his face. Sean fell silent. He was breathing heavily. Pain radiated across his face.

Arnold quickly got up and straightened his shirt. He wiped the blood from his lips. His gaze immediately fell on Sean with a look full of anger. His aura was very dark as if he wanted to kill Sean.

"Are you tired of living?" Arnold shouted.

He immediately hit Sean's stomach very hard. Sean could withstand one or two punches. He tried to harden his stomach area by holding his breath. However, that didn't last long.

Arnold hit him blindly. Starting from the head, face, and stomach. Everything was hit.

That left Sean helpless. His face was full of wounds. The pain was felt all over his body.

He couldn't fight back because both of his hands were held by Arnold's friends. He could only grimace in pain and hope that this would all end quickly.

When the two men holding him let go, Sean's body collapsed on the ground. The pain made his strength disappear. Both of his hands were holding the abdominal area, which felt very painful.

"Come on, get up! You already dared to hit me earlier. So, let's fight me!" Arnold said it angrily.

Sean did not respond. He was struggling to get up. How could he fight Arnold? That was impossible!

"Come on, get up! Show me your courage!" Arnold said it again, but Sean remained lying on the ground.

In Arnold's life, this was the first time someone dared to hit him. His parents had never hit him. They never even scolded him.

Then, now, a loser like Sean dared to do that. No wonder he was so angry.

Arnold felt like his pride was being trampled on by Sean. He really couldn't accept this.

"You loser!" Arnold kicked Sean's body repeatedly.

Sean was in even more pain. He curled up, trying to protect the fatal areas of his body.

Nevertheless, not a word came out of his mouth. He would not lower himself to ask for mercy. It didn't matter if he was going to be beaten to death by that arrogant man.

"Arnold, stop that!"

As Arnold was going crazy, someone's voice interrupted them. Making him stop beating Sean.

"Shit! Who dares to interrupt my fun?!" said Arnold.

They all turned to the source of the voice and found someone standing not far from them. Arnold was a little surprised and took two steps away from Sean.
