"...I'll even wipe their family tree from world history, Abby! I’m not playing around—anyone who dares knock on my door without permission, I’ll turn them into cosmic dust in an instant!"
"You're insane, Axel! Your arrogance is off the charts, seriously! That Guardian X-01 is still standing right in front of you, and you're busy giving a speech?" Abby screamed hysterically while clutching her tablet tightly behind a cracked concrete pillar. "Look at that! Its saw-arm is spinning again—the sound alone feels like my ears are gonna pop off!"
"Chill, Abby. A piece of junk like this just needs a little touch of my affection," Axel smirked coldly, his eyes staring sharply at the giant robot's red sensors that were beginning to glow brightly. "Hey, rustbucket! You hear me? Your new master is here. You wanna surrender with dignity, or do you want me to turn you into a cracker tin?"
"THREAT LEVEL: OMEGA. INITIATING TOTAL ANNIHILATION MODE."
The robot roared mechanically, its entire steel body vibrating violently. Its plasma saw-arm sliced through the air at a speed impossible for the human eye to track.
KRAAAAAKKKK!
"You're dead, Axel! Dodge, you idiot! Don't just stand there like a statue!" Abby shrieked as she saw the saw just inches away from Axel's head.
"I said... chill," Axel didn't budge. He raised his left palm, blocking the plasma saw blade that was spinning at thousands of rotations per second.
DHUAAAARRRR!
"Huh?! How... how is it not cut?!" Abby gaped, her eyes nearly popping out of her tactical glasses. "That's a five-thousand-degree plasma saw, Axel! What the hell is your hand made of?!"
"Made of my mom's prayers, Abby. Just kidding," Axel chuckled, even though the air pressure around him caused the marble floor to shatter into pieces. "I'm just using Critical... Thousand-Fold Skin Density. Your plasma isn't any hotter than a gas lighter in my eyes right now."
"Dammit! You're literally breaking every engineering logic I've ever learned!" Abby cursed while her fingers continued to dance across the tablet screen, trying to find a gap in the robot's system. "Axel! Focus! The energy core is in the right chest! Shoot it now or we'll be swallowed by the energy explosion!"
"Shoot? Ah, that takes too long. I want to try something a bit more... elegant," Axel clenched his right fist. The silver aura that usually enveloped his body suddenly changed color to a deep, dark gold. The air around him seemed to be sucked into his fist.
[SYSTEM NOTIFICATION: CONCEPTUAL CRITICAL DETECTED!]
[YOUR TALENT HAS EVOLVED: 1000X CRITICAL CHANCE -> CONCEPTUAL CRITICAL!]
"Holy crap, something new!" Axel exclaimed excitedly, his eyes flashing wildly. "Abby! My system just pinged! It says my talent evolved into [Conceptual Critical]! Do you know what that is?"
"How should I know, idiot! I'm not the system admin!" Abby replied while diving for cover as the robot fired micro-missiles from its shoulders. "But if it's called 'Conceptual,' it means you can get critical effects from abstract ideas or concepts! Not just physical objects anymore!"
"Abstract concepts, huh? Okay, I get it," Axel grinned widely at the Guardian robot's cold face. "Rustbucket, I'm going to apply the concept of 'Machine Death' to your body. Conceptual Critical... Thousand-Fold System Destruction!"
Axel merely touched the tip of the robot's red sensor with his index finger. Very gently, almost like touching the surface of water.
TIIING!
Instantly, the giant robot's every movement froze. There was no massive explosion, no blazing fire. However, slowly, the robot's steel color turned to a dull gray, then began to crumble into fine grains of dust blown by the wind. All the circuits, oil, and the fusion engine inside vanished as if the robot's existence had never been part of history.
"Huh... where? Where's the robot?!" Abby stood up slowly, looking around for their two-story-tall opponent. "Axel! What did you do to my robot?! That scrap metal was worth stripping down, you know!"
"Sorry, Abby. I accidentally 'crit' its concept of 'existence' to zero," Axel scratched his neck, looking a bit confused by his own power. "Damn, this is seriously cheating. I just thought 'destroy,' and it actually turned to dust down to the atomic level."
"You... you're a literal monster, Axel," Abby walked toward the pile of dust that used to be a state-of-the-art war machine. "But look! There's something glowing in the middle of the dust!"
Axel crouched down, his hand reaching into the pile of metal dust. He pulled out a gold chip emitting a pure blue aura and a crystal orb filled with liquid energy. "Here's the goods. A Core Controller and a Hyper-Fuel Cell."
"CRAZY! You got a Hyper-Fuel?!" Abby immediately snatched the crystal orb from Axel's hand, her eyes sparkling like a child getting candy. "Just one drop of this could power a whole building for a year! And you have a full orb?! Axel, we're rich! We're literally oil tycoons in this apocalypse!"
"Being rich isn't enough, Abby. I want more," Axel stood up, his eyes sweeping across the vast laboratory. "There's a lot of supercomputer scrap here. Abby, how many units do you need to make our fortress defense system automatic?"
"Ideally, ten military-grade server units. But in this ruined world, finding even one that still turns on is a miracle, dude," Abby sighed dejectedly, pointing at the rows of scorched servers.
"Ten? Easy," Axel walked toward the most destroyed server unit, its cables spilling out. "Abby, watch this. I'm going for a god-level 'harvest'."
Axel placed his hand on the scrap server's iron frame.
"Critical... Thousand-Fold Material Multiplication!"
SHUIIIIINNNNGGGG!
Golden light exploded, filling the room. The once-spacious laboratory suddenly felt cramped as thousands of shiny new server units appeared, still wrapped in protective plastic, complete with top-quality fiber optic cables. Everything was neatly stacked, reaching the ceiling.
"HOLY CRAP! AXEL! ARE YOU TRYING TO BURY ME IN COMPUTERS?!" Abby screamed as a new server appeared exactly ten centimeters in front of her nose. "Is that... a Quantum Server Model X?! That's technology my dad didn't even get to release! You summoned a thousand units?! Are you trying to build a rival G****e in the middle of the apocalypse?!"
"You said you needed ten, so I gave you a bonus so you'd stop nagging," Axel laughed, satisfied at the sight of the thousands of supercomputers. "Now, take what you need. I'll put the rest into the system inventory for raw materials."
"You're literally breaking the world economy, I swear!" Abby began busily stuffing important chips into her bag with frantic movements. "But Axel, there's one more problem. We have all these materials, but building a Nuclear Fusion Fortress takes months! Not to mention if that Global Lord who sent the fleet earlier comes back. We don't have walls yet!"
"Months? Abby, did you forget? I just got a talent evolution," Axel walked toward the center of the room where the floor was still dirt and broken concrete. "I just got a new concept: 'Construction Time'."
"Huh? What do you mean, you bastard? Don't tell me you're gonna..." Abby stopped what she was doing, staring at Axel with a look of horror.
"Abby, you've finished inputting all the fortress blueprints into the main system, right?" Axel asked seriously.
"Yeah, I synced them to that gold chip you just got. Why?"
"Good. Now stand next to me. Hold on tight," Axel closed his eyes. He concentrated all the energy from the Fusion Core in his veins. A dark gold aura began to swirl wildly around them, forming a massive energy storm vortex.
"Axel! What are you doing?! Are you gonna burn this place down?!"
"No, I'm doing an instant 'renovation'," Axel muttered softly. His hand touched the laboratory floor. "Conceptual Critical... Thousand-Fold Construction Time Acceleration!"
DUUUUMMMMMMM!
The entire earth shook violently. Abby screamed loudly as she witnessed an impossible sight. The steel materials around them—thousands of servers, cables, and concrete—suddenly flew and assembled themselves like puzzle pieces moved by the hand of a god. Metallic black walls grew from the ground in milliseconds. Nuclear fusion pipes crawled across the ceiling like fast-growing tree roots.
"CRAZY! CRAZY! CRAZY! THIS IS MAGIC, NOT ARCHITECTURE!" Abby shouted amidst the noise of clashing metal. "Axel! You literally cut months of construction time down to just a few seconds?!"
"Not seconds, Abby! Just a blink of an eye!" Axel shouted over the roar of the engines starting up.
In less than a minute, the vibration stopped. The noisy atmosphere suddenly turned completely silent, leaving only the low hum of the now fully active fusion reactor. The once-destroyed laboratory had transformed into the most futuristic command center to ever exist on Earth. The walls were made of critical-reinforced carbon-steel alloy, screens filled every wall, and the air felt fresh thanks to a god-tier air filtration system.
"Done. How about it, Abby? Still want to complain about construction time?" Axel wiped the sweat from his neck, his breath a bit heavy, but his triumphant smile remained.
Abby didn't answer. She could only walk slowly, touching the metallic wall that felt cold and incredibly solid. "Is this... is this real? I'm not dreaming, right? You really built a Nuclear Fusion Fortress... just by standing there?"
"Something like that. Look at the main screen, Abby. The monitors are already connected to the space satellites I 'forced' into activation earlier," Axel pointed toward the giant screen in front of them.
The screen showed a view from the top of the hill. There, thousands of Global Lord troops and the Black Garuda fleet were still surrounding the area, but they all looked confused. Before their eyes, a massive black fortress three hundred meters tall had just emerged from the ground in the blink of an eye.
"Look at their faces, Abby. Hilarious, right? Like they're seeing a ghost," Axel laughed mockingly.
"Hilarious, my foot! That's a full combat fleet, Axel! Even if our walls are strong, they have particle-breaker cannons!" Abby returned to her strategic general mode. "I have to activate the automated defense system now! Where's the Hyper-Fuel control access?!"
"Here, just plug it in there. I've already prepared the port," Axel pointed to a gold console in the center of the room.
Abby quickly inserted the liquid energy crystal. Instantly, the entire fortress vibrated again, but this time it was a smooth vibration. On the monitor, ten Sentinel Railgun towers appeared at the peaks of the fortress, each already locking onto the enemy carriers.
"System active! Plasma shields at 100%! Axel, we actually have an impenetrable fortress!" Abby exclaimed excitedly, her fingers dancing over the control holograms. "Should I fire now?! I want to see them cry!"
"Hold on, Abby. I want to give them a little 'show.' Let them know who the new owner of the world is," Axel walked toward a large balcony directly facing the enemy forces.
The balcony doors opened automatically. A strong wind hit Axel's face, but he stood tall. In the distance, atop the largest carrier, the figures of General Dirga and General Hendra could be seen staring at Axel's fortress with their mouths agape.
"Hey! All of you down there!" Axel shouted, his voice amplified by the fortress's loudspeaker system until it echoed throughout the city. "How is it? My new house is nice, right? You all came all this way to visit, or do you want me to give you some dust as a souvenir?!"
"Axel! Hand over that Fusion Core right now! You cannot stand against the entire world alliance!" General Hendra's voice boomed from his carrier's speakers, his tone full of fear masked by anger.
"World alliance? Hahaha! Did you two get your General titles from a cereal box?" Axel laughed loudly. "Listen up, Uncle Hendra, Uncle Dirga... from this second on, the territory within a ten-kilometer radius of this fortress belongs to the Abyssal Empire. Anyone who dares enter without permission, I'll consider them a material donor!"
"How dare you! Troops! Fire! Destroy that fortress now!" General Dirga ordered furiously.
Thousands of carrier cannon muzzles glowed simultaneously. A massive explosion occurred as thousands of anti-matter shells launched straight toward Axel's fortress.
"Axel! The shots are coming! Plasma shields ready to take the impact!" Abby shouted from inside the control room.
Axel didn't go inside. Instead, he stood on the edge of the balcony, spreading his arms wide.
"Abby! Turn off the shields now!" Axel commanded loudly.
"Huh?! Are you crazy?! We'll be toasted, Axel!"
"GUE BILANG MATIIN! GUE MAU PANEN ENERGI MEREKA!"
Abby trembled, but she knew Axel had a crazy plan. With a very hesitant hand, she pressed the Shield Off button.
Instantly, thousands of anti-matter shots slammed into Axel's body and the fortress walls without any barrier. An incredibly bright explosion of white light swallowed the entire hilltop.
"AXEEELLLLL!" Abby shrieked hysterically, her tears falling at the sight of the explosion.
However, in the middle of that giant fireball, a very cold laugh could be heard.
"That's all you've got? So weak! Here, let me show you how to use energy properly!"
The white light of the explosion was suddenly sucked into Axel's body. All that anti-matter energy actually strengthened his silver aura until it became so dense that the space around Axel began to crack into pieces.
"Abby! Watch this! Conceptual Critical... Thousand-Fold Damage Reversal!"
Axel pointed his palm toward the carrier fleet. The energy he had just absorbed was released back in the form of a massive, transparent gold shockwave.
BLAAAAARRRRRRR!
The wave wiped out the entire Black Garuda and Black Tower Corp carrier fleet in the blink of an eye. They didn't explode; instead, the giant carriers suddenly 'shrank' and turned into small gold coins falling from the sky like rain.
"Hah... hah... Axel... you... you just turned the carriers into money?!" Abby ran out onto the balcony, her eyes bulging at the sight of thousands of gold coins piling up at the bottom of the hill.
"Not bad for our shopping budget later, right? I just used the concept of 'Matter Conversion' into 'System Currency.' It's pretty exhausting, but the results are satisfying," Axel leaned against the balcony railing, panting, but his eyes were full of victory.
"You're truly insane... you seized all their assets and turned them into coins in a second..." Abby shook her head, completely out of words to describe Axel's madness.
"This is just the beginning, Abby. Tomorrow, we'll expand even further. I want the world to know that this apocalypse isn't the end for humanity, but the beginning of my dominance," Axel stared at the sun beginning to rise on the eastern horizon, illuminating his magnificent fortress.
"But Axel, look at this on my tablet screen..." Abby pointed toward a red notification that had just appeared.
"What now? Someone else wants to donate a carrier?"
"No... it's from the Central System. It looks like the Supreme Boss is truly furious," Abby's voice trembled. "The notification says: 'Anomaly Detected. World Deletion Protocol Begins in 24 Hours'."
Axel fell silent for a moment. He looked toward the sky, which was now beginning to turn a dark purple, with thousands of dimensional portals slowly opening.
"World deletion, huh? Heh, how interesting," Axel clenched his hand, which was still glowing blue. "Abby, get ready. We have 24 hours to build a weapon that can shoot straight into the Supreme Boss's heart."
"What weapon, Axel?! We don't even know where he is!"
"I know. He's at the system server center in the Abyssal dimension. And I have a crazy plan to get there," Axel turned to Abby with the most terrifying smirk ever. "You want to come with me and hack God, Abby?"
"You... you're seriously insane. But whatever, I'm already in too deep with you," Abby let out a long sigh with a faint smile. "What's the first plan, Boss?"
"The first plan? It's simple. I'm going to 'crit' the speed of light so we can..."

Those thousands of iron angels are gone—not even a fingernail's worth left!""Of course. Did you think I was just playing with fireworks?" Axel grinned wildly, his breath coming out as golden steam. Her face, smudged with soot, couldn't hide the sparkle in her eyes as she saw the giant hole. "Did you seriously build all of this while I was busy sleeping last night?!""Of course, Abby! Did you think I was just staring blankly while sharpening iron pipes?" Axel grinned widely, standing tall at the edge of the pit, which turned out to be a giant elevator equipped with anti-gravity technology.
