His voice started to shake again. "We... we made a trade. I gave you the information. You took the prize." "I took the map," Jonah corrected him quietly. "But we did not make a trade." Alpha’s eyes widened in pure horror. He scrambled backward, pushing his bleeding hands into the freezing snow. "You cannot do this! The System rules say—" "The rules are dead," Jonah interrupted. His voice was like a heavy stone dropping onto a wooden floor.

It looked like a heavy smartphone, but it was wrapped in dark iron and glowing purple lines of crystallized Mana. Alpha held the datapad up in the air with his bloody, trembling hand.
