On his quest to know how he got there and how to return to the real world, he realizes that he has actually entered his game world and now he has to survive every stage and challenge of this world in order to return home. So his fate of coming out of coma was in his hands, whether he lives or dies all lies in his ability to fight and survive the dangers of this world.
