Chapter 7

The dragon, encased in the blue barrier, extended its mew, unleashing a sea of lethal electric shocks that poured into the barrier's walls.

The flurry of the diverging snakes of lightning that tortured the barrier, impaired in an instant, then gradually vanished like a disappearing flame. The three men all confirmed the incident before delivering the notification Lucian had been waiting for.

"The dragon's power has been diminished."

"Young lord, do it."

"Deliver the fatal blow."

Listening to their messages, Lucian ran forward slowly, and as he approached the obstruction, he swiveled down at the dragon's head.

Lucian's zooming silhouette was reflected in the dragon's eyes before his sword impacted its head. "rooooooooooooooar." When the enormous creature felt a splitting twinge on its skull, it reflexively retreated its head, its talons scraping on the torn ground, leaving an extended claw mark.

Lucian rapidly made another movement with his sword, aiming at the creature's long neck, but his goal was not met this time. The dragon's eyes glittered gaily with cruelty as he approached. Various bolts of thunder flashed out from beneath its scales and spread in all directions.

The unexpected outburst hurled Lucian into a togged wall behind him. When the dragon saw that the impediment that had been weakening it had vanished, he exclaimed with delight.

The other peoples wept, and old Man Adam was severely injured as blood spat out of their mouths. The dragon's body jerked and

swung away from the injured men who had bound it with chains.

It stamped heavily on the ground and pounced on Lucian. Lucian felt a strong sense of danger as he caught a sight of the fearsome beast as it moved closer to him.

When the dragon reached Lucian, it extended its jaws and sucked at his head. Lucian glides beneath its gut, avoiding the creature's mew just as it was about to touch his flesh. Its chest collided with his skull. He pointed the blade he was holding at the location he assumed was the creature's heart.

Purple lightning bolts flashed across Lucian's sword. “goooooo.” When a blade wrapped in purple lightning punctured the dragon's chest, a horrific howl exited its maw. It vomited blue blood, which killed Lucian's face.

The creature had endured a wound that had taken its toll on its body; Lucian could feel the thing significantly weakening, as if it were about to fall at any minute.

Just as he breathed a sigh of relief and thought he had won, a vexing howl from the beast invaded his ears, and he unexpectedly felt something running through his abdomen.

“ahhh.” Lucian couldn't help but shriek horribly as he felt the anguish. Before everything went black, he caught a fleeting image of a dragon nail puncturing his abdomen. The massive body of the beast falls on him.

Lucian died during this mission, despite the fact that the rest of his guardian group survived.

"I can't believe he failed," Nick says. He was almost there."

What a shame, brave lad, said old man Adam.

Jhonson: he nearly succeeded; we must bury him and do his death rituals. He truly is a warrior.

We gotta hurry, Take him there.. Kesdan hurried the group as they have to keep hunting for the blue dragon. It was their duty to protect Rhombus with their lives.

Meanwhile Lucian reincarnate back to earth. The few time he had spend in Rhombus was equaled to three years on earth. He wakes up back after three years in coma.

.......New beginning....

A stretched, slender rubber pipe connected him to a drip on his hand. A bandage was worn on his head. This young and attractive man is Lucian. Even though he was still alive, he stayed in this lifeless state for three years, refusing to die or return to reality. Lucian marveled at his body and the room he was in after waking up. It's obvious that he's at a hospital from the way he's set up in this room.

The hospital's white room had been disinfected. It had a modest bed with a nightstand, a bare desk, a small dresser, and two closed doors, one opposite the bed and the other across the room. There were cables in his arms pumping blood or measuring his pulse, and machinery keeping him alive. Instead, a disinfectant odor flooded his nostrils.

After waking up, he marveled at his body and the environment he was in. He was taken aback by the pale arms he was holding in front of him. They were frail, yet they appeared to be in good health. "Are these my genuine arms? He stared at his hands, twisting them over and over, watching the light play from the faulty florescent. With a thought, he attempted to remove the IV and stand.

He was initially uncoordinated At first, he wobbled as he rose up and stumbled forward to take a seat by the bed. He tried sitting alongside the bed because his head hurt so severely.

Peering around again, Lucian stumbled over to a mirror, transfixed by the visage staring back at him. His dark hair curled over his head, and his jade dark eyes shone brightly. He had pale complexion and seemed frail. In wonder, he examined his new body. He was little, and his eyes lacked the usual crimson that he had become accustomed to seeing in the mirror.

He wasn't very strong, but he was alert and appeared to be in good health. "Beep- beep" The monitor's beep sound kept hitting his skull, as if it were within his head.

"Ka-chunk-creeeeeeak-squeekie-squeekie". The door sounded, and a woman in a blue cardigan scuffed the floor; she was, of course, the hospital's janitor, who cleans his room every day. She came in today, just like every other day, to wash the tiles carefully and quietly. As the door sound faded, To this cleaner who has been cleaning him for three years and has seen him in this state, expecting to see him as she had left him but to her surprise Lucian jolted his face sideways to her while seated on the bed. With a surprised yelp, she raced out of the room to call the doctor.

"What am I doing here? This must be another world." Random facts regarding what had happened suddenly filled his consciousness, as if to answer his inquiry. "So I came home from scout camp eager to see Grandma and found her waiting across the street." What occurred after that?" Lucian wondered.

The creaking sound of a door opening penetrated his ears in his dazed state, jolting him awake. A stunning and blond female doctor in white entered the room shortly after and addressed Lucian

"How are you feeling, mister Lucian Matis?" she said, placing a stethoscope on his chest to assess his condition before asking in a gentle voice that may soften people's hearts.

He stared at her beautiful face for a long time before responding.

"What are your credentials?"

"My name is Georgia Smith, I am your doctor and I've been watching your health for the past three years while you've been unconscious."

"Could you tell me how you're feeling now?" so that I can tell if you're all right."

"I'm feeling well, nothing extraordinary." Lucian replied

"Are you certain?" Georgia inquired, her suspicion directed at Lucian. It is unusual for someone who has been in a trance for three years and then awoke to feel normal on that particular day.

"It appears you won't believe me unless I show you proof, so I'll just tell you the truth." Lucian frantically nodded his head and flapped his palm, indicating that he was fine.

Georgia's face lit up with delight as she saw him do so. Her reaction to his behavior was amusing.

"I hope you don't mind laying down again so I can inspect you." Georgia asked politely.

"Ahhhh" Lucian exhale while laying his back.

Georgia knelt beside Lucian and used a torch to examine his entire body. Before leaving Georgia asked Lucian ", the cleaner mentioned seeing you checking your head earlier "

"The monitor's beep sounded like it was coming from inside my mind, but everything is fine now," he said as he attempted to exit from the bed.

"You are not allowed to leave until I have completed my medical examinations on you." Georgia turned to him.

The door slammed open again, and this time an elderly woman in her early seventies stormed inside, distraught, and fondled. She began to cry as she grabbed his arms, as though scared that if she released them, he would run away.

"Finally, my boy, you've returned to me"

"Thank God you didn't die, and thank God you didn't abandon me in this world. I was very worried" she said.

"Are you okay?" "I was afraid I'd never see you again." Lucian recognized this woman as his grandmother and last living relative, based on his memories. His other family members died in an aircraft crash when he was five years old, thus he has been nurtured by his grandmother.

"It's OK, everything is well." He patted her on the back Being embraced and cared for by this woman made him feel warm within. He recognizes, however, that this woman treated him as if he were her only kid. His grandmother finally regulated her emotions and let go after a brief consolation.

"Doctor, when are you going to discharge my boy ?" His grandmother inquired before cleaning her tears.

"After I do a number of tests on him, he will go home with you in one day at most." Georgia's calm voice conveyed her message.

The following day Lucian was discharged from the hospital finally.

"Mister Lucian, you have been discharge."

Georgia's sweet voice whistled, brightening Lucian and his grandmother's spirits.

Soon after, the two emerged from the hospital's main entrance Lucian and his granmy enter a car, heading for their home.

They boarded a cab and headed home as Lucian saw the excitement in his granny face as she held his hands firm as if; if she let go he will run away. Lucian on the other hand was trying to settle in back on earth as Evey thing seems strange.

Although the cab kept going, Lucian wondered where he was going but he soon came back to reality as the road suddenly became familiar. He recognizes it which calm his nerves.

They arrived at their destination after a short time. They both exited the vehicle and proceeded to their apartment.

"Congratulations!!, buddy, welcome back!" Synder turned to address the two figures with a smile as they approached the front of the house. He knew who his friend was, but he had no idea who the other was. He didn't have many friends except for Synder. He spends the majority of his time playing video games rather than making new friends.

His friend Synder, a nerd with glasses and had a blue top stood to his right. Even though he mostly disagrees with Synder's views on life, he has been a caring childhood friend.

Joy stood at his side, a petite nerd with a strong, toned voice. Joy lives near Synder's apartment, and used to hanging out like pals whenever they had free time. Synder gets along swimmingly with Joy.

Lucian soon began chatting with Synder and Joy as his grandma prepared a delectable dinner for them. Following the lunch, the three of them celebrated his return by escorting his friends out of the house. After that, Lucian returned to the house and began living there.

He stayed at the house for six days, blending in with the surroundings. He did a lot of entertaining stuff, Spending time with his granny, going out with his buddies, and watching movies are just a few examples. Lucian also tried blending into the world.

However, despite the fact that life is great, it is monotonous to someone like him who used to live in a world where he hunted mighty monsters and even fought wars, he quickly became tired of it.

Lucian, having lost interest in all he had been doing, turned his focus to something he had been ignoring all along.
